Probably my favourote western if you don't count Young Guns. Yes I mean the remake.
We need another Master & Commander. It's highly underrated and sadly it went up against LOTR I think.
Came to find the Renegades thanks to Mr Crowe's Ren shoutout!! You all did NOT disappoint! Thanks to Russell & to Ren for making so many of us love music again & in a whole different way.
It was my understanding that, because of the exquisite level of authenticity, "Master & Commander" was too prohibitively expensive for the studios to make a sequel. It's authenticity was both its genius AND its downfall.
Love the shoutout to Ren! ❤
Transcript of the conversation between Peter Jackson and Russell Crowe regarding Lord of the Rings:
Crowe: "Yeah?"
Jackson: "Awww... nah, yeah."
Crowe: "Nah? yeah, nah."
Jackson: "Yeah, nah, but yeah, nah."
Crowe: "Sweet as bro."
Jackson: "Chur cuz."
I too, played Roger in my high-school’s Grease musical. Knowing that Russel did as well makes me extremely happy.
Horrible Histories did a 'Maximus' advertising olive oil. Loved Master and Commander, and the Water Diviner, bloody near cried through so much of that. When the young Turkish widow asked him if he is British, and he says Australian... tears. Nice bit of tidy riding in it too, nice tidy horseman is Russell Crowe.
Horrible histories has a song and video with a smug blaque person in it singing "we've been here from the start" saying they had been in Britain forming and shaping British history from the start
That was really good. Thanks to Russell for doing this. He's been in SO many good movies: Action, Comedy, Drama, Thriller, Musical. It's honestly ridiculous. Thanks.
Master and commander was a great film, definitely deserves a sequel
Sadly, Peter Weir doesn’t do sequels. Need a new director, but who could the job Peter Weir did?
Gladiator is one of the best movies. Everything about it, the music, actors, scenery was so right. Hero or villain amazingly performed so well. The fight scenes with the animals was spectacular. No wonder it won so many OSCARS!!! 🏆❤️
Beautiful mind my favourite movie. Crowe is flawless in that, as are the supporting cast
Mr. Crowe, my mom just loved your voice the first moment she heard you in Gladiator. My mom has passed away but I can still remember how she enjoyed the movie.
Showing love to Ren ❤
Master and Commander is one of my most watched movies... seriously.... just a movie i could happily watch back to back and not be bored
I once had lunch with Russ. Well, he was at the table next to mine in a cafe once. That's my exciting celebrity story.
In all seriousness, though, it was pretty cool how little anyone cared. He lives around here, so it's not uncommon to see him around. Everyone in the cafe barely seemed to notice him, he was just there with his family having a nice lunch.
I was totally blindsided by discovering he's a musician, I attended one of his shows in Italy and he was absolutely delightful to watch and listen.
