why do i have the feeling joseph just dabbed the water on his eyes to make it seem like he wasn't really crying
Had the same feeling. Weird.
2:08 you can see him doing that.
@Léonne Smart move. XD
That Dumbo scene makes me cry every time, and I know I'm not the only one.
+Chibi Lychee I teared up in the 10 something seconds it played.
+Chibi Lychee If one is a human with reall feelings is sort of an obligation to cry to that scene, is so heart-wrenching! Beuatiful but hardcore hehehe.
+Chibi Lychee Omg, I almost cried. It is soo terrible. I had also forgotten those sad scenes in Dumbo ;(
+Chibi Lychee I love that movie wish I had the movie.
JGL would say "You're not the only one, not the only one."
This scene, death of Littlefoot's Mom, death of Bambi's mom, death of Simba's dad...now I think about it, my early childhood cartoons were kinda dark.
***** Also, the name Pocahontas was a moniker given her by the tribe. To my understanding it means "promiscuous woman" or "slutty". The belief was in her culture, if you had someone's true name, you could use it as a totem to control them. So, she became Pocahontas to hide her real name. Why she was given that one, is beyond my remembrances.
Also, in the Dumbo movie there are 2 other famous scenes that I think of everytime I hear the title. The first is that pantshittingly terrifying "Pink Elephants on Parade" song and the racist crows. Both I could finish out the years of my life without seeing again and be just fine with it.
now watch the Monstro the whale scenes in Pinocchio and reminisce about shitting in your pants....or was that just me
***** I definitely have watched the brave little toaster, but I don't remember a thing apart from a mangled toaster, a lamp with a broken bulb, and an overall feeling of danger. Repressed memories?
NYC LP Player The scene in Pinocchio where the child's get turned into donkeys always creeped me out :S
Little Nemo... still scary as ever!
Joseph Gordon-Levitt seems such a nice guy.
Without saying "like", it seems like you're being sarcastic
@Uncle Moose True. He's not consumed by egos and has always been humble and down to earth.
I laugh SO hard when he smacks his hands together and immediately corrects himself :D
That was the sweetest scene of Dumbo. Especially when his mom wraps him up with his ears, cradles him, and rocks him back and forth.
Even thinking about that scene makes me cry :'(
We watched Dumbo in kindergarten once and once it got to the Baby Mine scene, I slowly scooted myself to the far corner of the room and sat there in fetal position just weeping silently to myself. None of the other kids noticed because the lights were turned down, but that's my earliest memory of watching that film. I definitely shed a tear watching it again, gosh that song always gets me right in the feels!
DoctorWhoBAMF Is it weird that I never cried at that scene when I was young?
sampea CAML yep. :P
For me, in my 4 years old mind, It was more of a happy scene because they were together.
I could never get over the racist crows... Wonder how they will be portrayed in upcoming film.
Can I love him anymore than I already do? Apparently so..
Dumbo and Timothy´s drunken hallucination scene is one of the greatest scenes in cinema
No joke, it makes me cry too. It was my favourite movie as a kid and I had a toy Dumbo I used to sleep with...Very emotional movie.
I hear you Joseph!
who else cried watching that clip :(
Me.
+Chloe94169 Everyone.
+Chloe94169 me damn onion fairy
+Chloe94169 Guaaah!!! :(
I was about to
That scene destroys me every time. Just that clip they just played and I have the waterworks already.
Joseph is such a darling. : 3
It's beautifully animated, of COURSE it makes people cry, even as an adult
damn his voice is so sexy and sharp
Just occurred to me that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one young-looking 33-year-old. O.o
TransparentLabyrinth i know, he got good ass skin, very smooth. looks young
I bet he does have good ass skin. lmao! :))
He looks great but he does looks his age.
Even now 2k19 he looks just as good
Are you telling me that he has right now 40??
The Fox and the Hound always gets me
The scene where the lady abandons the fox? Yup... me too. ALWAYS. Makes me think if i had to do that with my dog.
First movie I ever cried to as a kid.
Same here. Tod had to be let go.
Fox and the Hound made me cry as a child
It still makes me cry.
dude im 31 and it still gets me
You cry watching Fox news?
(irony is strong here people)
I literally sobbed when I watched it as a teenager watching it for the first time. No other movie has given me that reaction. You probably know what scene I mean.
Omg this is the sweetest thing I have ever seen .I love him 🐘💕
It’s Dumbo’s brief, relieved, and ultimately happy tears that do it.
He’s had a bad time and he really needed her there, we’ve seen it, we know it, but now it’s okay again.
Full credit for the animators and the art direction for getting that so perfect.
That scene always makes me cry too!!
i was always sad during The Sword in the Stone when he turns back from a squirrel and the female squirrel is heartbroken.
It was balanced out by hilarity from Merlin though.
The guts on these creators making kids traumatized with sadness is. . . .
That was without a doubt the saddest scene in a cartoon I had ever seen. This memory had been lost to me, until you brought it up...
I like him. He`s a good actor.
This scene still makes me cry.
That scene does make me cry so much
Gordon-Levitt is Hollywood's next big thing
are you chris stuckmann?
His favorite film is a disney clasic?!!! Joseph Gordon-levit... can i jus hug you 💗😁😘
Sorry... Like really sorry but as an official jgl crusher and fan girl I must say its Levitt.... And it's hyphenated:)
So sorry
AJ
Damn Didnt see the hyphen... Sorry
im a parent and that scene right there is beautiful yet absolutely heartbreaking and it makes me cry too and im not ashamed to say it. to me the emotion shown in this animated movie is more human than a lot of crap shown nowadays.
JGL for Nightwing!!
that would work, I was hoping he would become Robin in the next Nolan Batman but that isn't going to happen now, shame.
Jonathan James Agreed, I was so stoked, but at least WB has other plans for him with the Sandman tv show :)
I had no idea, are they going to do a hero series for TV? If so I hope they give it the budget it deserves. I will definately check that out.
Omg that scene made me cry too 😰😰😰😭😭😭😭
Some say "Bambi" some say "Dumbo" etc
I say "The Land Before Time"...Still makes me cry to this day.
I forgot about that one, I don't think I'm strong enough to watch it as an adult lol
It's a classic ^^ Turned 30 a few days ago and still it kills me
I cry at that scene every time! 😢
I have avoided watching this scene for 20 years...damn you O'brien!
Made me cry too! 😢
The scene in The Fox And The Hound when she brings him into the forest and leaves him....I lose it. Like full blown sobbing.

Which is weird since Angels in the Outfield always makes me cry. No joke.
Joseph, don't feel bad, that iconic scene makes me cry too!
Me too & the ending when he reunites with his mommy.
That scene always makes me cry too!
The dude should make me famous. My great uncle was the voice of the crown in Dumbo. Love it! Woo!
Joseph is an amazing actor and so very cute. 💕 Dumbo is a classic and can get pretty sad.
I cried too specially since I don’t have my mom anymore 😭 it made me think about her
One of the most underrated actors evarrr!
awww he's so cute xD
Dumbo is essentially a Disney equivalent of Game of Thrones: emotionally depressing, heart wrenching and a tear jerking experience. Just a second long clip from 'Baby Mine' above is more than enough to make me cry.
Elephants and wild animals don't belong in circuses. Boycott those who use them in their shows.
I won’t rest until all cartoon elephants and animals are freed from their cages.
That was just short but here i'm crying.
I love how when Conan starts asking him about which scene makes him cry, he knows what's coming, but he answers anyway.
Dumbo still makes me cry
Yes... The only movie to make me cry.
GODDAMITT!!! I cri evrytim!!! This should be a challenge! Do not cry at touching Disney moments!
+JooseMunkee expect the hachiko one...

Remember crying as a kid wathcing that scene. It really is heartbreaking..
That's one of the saddest sense's from Dumbo and being cradled by his mom and the song gets me every time makes me 😢😭
That scene made me cry just now....
That scene always makes me cry too. Impossible not to.
Fox and the Hound.
Hah. Yes. Thought of it as soon as Conan said Disney weren't playing around back then.

He's gonna cry so much in the new movie
Omg that's the scene that makes me cry ;(
he is just such a cool outgoing guy ! and funny too !
Giraffes kill other giraffes, quite violently as well
Joseph Gordon-Levitt HIT RECORD Team Coco Very well said at the end there. Thanks.
that scene gets me too. baby mine always makes me cry
damn it!! I started tearing up! lmao
Awesome as always!
As Tommy (3rd Rock from the Sun) he showed an amazing adaptability & encouragable measure of acting talent. As an adult, he has shown himself able to apply humour with just plain niceness which makes him easily identifiable as someone who is an exception to the standard plastic idiots that Hollywood churns out as "talent". I still remember the 3rd Rock episode when Tommy is doing a Blues man role & playing guitar - then the next thing you know . . . he is the nexus of a music show as an adult. Crazy stuff. I always wish him the best in his career. Thanks Conan !!!
Dumbo, Fox & The Hound, Lion King, & Lassie all made me cry wen I was a kid haha Disney movies were crazy back then!!
Those movies plus Bambi
Ya definitely Bambi haha All Dogs Go To Heaven made me cry to!!
Yeah... That scene also made me cry. When I was 10.
I just teared up
I cry in that part too!
I started crying as soon as it started playing.
same joseph, same. i can't ever watch that scene without crying.
bambi made made me cry as a kid .
Cool man
+Terry Kane When I saw it in the theater (no, not in the 40s, it was replayed in the 80s in theaters before people owned VCRs), and he called for his mom, all the little kids started calling out "Mama!" I was only like 6 but I still remember how freaked all the kids got.
I remember him from 3rd Rock. We grew up together...
If you don't cry during that scene in Dumbo, I question your humanity.
He will be bawling with the live action one
Why am I crying right now?
I love the way he laugh :3
that scene gets me every time too
OMG me too! When the rat takes Dumbo to see his mom in jail, I sob like Susan Lucci.
The first show was so good too.
The feels. :((((
Let's just be glad they didn't show Bambi's mom.....
Lol! Or the wildebeest scene from The Lion King.
Deey MC Oy, I almost forgot that one....
+Frieda Claxton Why did you have to remind us?!
Even thinking about this scene makes me feel somewhat sick, I get goosebumps and I remember every heartbreaking moment of my life. I didn't even watch the video and yet I'm crying. CRUEL Conan, very cruel.
