Connections between Bill Cipher & Discord:
-Both are ancient, eccentric, charismatic entities from family-friendly 2010s cartoons who have the power to warp reality.
-Both their existence revolve around creating chaos, their actions leaving an impact in history. The effects of their actions are also presented in art-form (Bill shaped Earth's history and culture, which is why there are pyramids built and Illuminati symbols found on certain items like books and money/Discord ruled over Equestria and caused chaos anywhere and towards anyone he wanted. A stained glass window shows him dangling screaming ponies over fire)
-Both were freed from a long imprisonment by antagonistic characters (Lil’ Gideon summoned Bill, allowing him to escape the Nightmare Realm into the 3rd Dimension/Discord was freed from his petrification as a result of Cutie Mark Crusaders bickering)
-Both have been defeated as a result of group effort, which resulted in them being petrified (Stanley Pines lured Bill into his mind so that his twin brother Stanford could erase him while memory-wiping Stanley/Discord was returned to stone by the bearers of the Elements of Harmony).
-Ironically, the original methods for defeating them, which involved uniting individuals who symbolize their respective elements (the Zodiac/the Elements of Harmony), were undone by conflict between comrades (Stanford and Stanley got into a fight, undoing the Zodiac/Fluttershy swore she wouldn't use her Element of Kindness on Discord, preventing her friends from activating their Elements).
-Both were especially antagonistic towards the scholar/book-reader of the main cast (Dipper Pines/Twilight Sparkle)
-Both have manipulated others with companionship to obtain their freedom (Stanford Pines/Fluttershy), albeit Discord and Fluttershy actually did become friends
-Both have transformed towns into chaotic landscapes (Gravity Falls/Ponyville)
-Both are residents of chaotic dimensions (Nightmare Realm/Chaosville)
-Both united other villains during the endgame events of their series (Bill gathered the Henchmaniacs after opening the portal to the Nightmare Realm/Discord gathered past MLP villains while disguised as Grogar)
-Both are associated with unicorns in some way (Unicorn hair suppresses Bill’s power/Discord lives amongst unicorns and ponies)

While Bill remained evil up to his defeat, Discord eventually reformed and became a good guy.

Bill Cipher is still one of my favourite villains and was personal favourite of mine just as much as I love watching Gravity Falls.
Bill was just so OP and had an infectious personality that you just couldn't hate.

Bill Cypher is one of the most terrifying on screen demons we have ever seen.
And is literally Disney’s most dangerous villain of all time. Even more evil than movie villains like Frollo, Jafar and Maleficent, and more backstabbing and conniving than Cruella, Hans and Mickey Mouse.
No other villain can surpass Bill in his evil… until Emperor Belos came and also the Collector was unleashed. Belos being an embodiment of humanity’s evil, and Collector being what Gods would be like if they have power and no responsibility.
Still can’t believe Gravity Falls is on Death Battle!

Bill Cipher might gain a small advantage if he discovers Discord's fear of losing Fluttershy which has tripped him up before other than that Discord is very overpowered in the comics. This fight will be insane!
In recent comics Discord has found closure with the death of Fluttershy, so any attempts to manipulate Discord using her image is likely going to backfire big time against Bill.

Discord lived so long he made it to the almost but not perfect G5 generation of MLP where… Fluttershy is no longer with us. Man, that generation got dark real fast.

Hearing Wiz and Boomstick talk about Gravity Falls kinda feels like a dream but boy do I love it.

Discord has never been shown to be immortal or anything remotely close to it. If anything, his physical form is very weak, and we've never seen his spiritual form in the show, ever. So I'd wager Bill will win rather easily, despite Discord's powerful "can do anything" magic.

Not only that, but he can't be destroyed as long as chaos exists, so him using one of his many powers that Bill can't resist, is more likely to happen than Bill finding a way to permantly put down Discord.
Discord wins because his magic ignores logic while Bill's needs logic to function.
@@Google_Censored_CommenterWhat do you mean? We’ve seen his spiritual form. In an episode from season eight, he allows his physical form to be vaporized and comes back as a ghost to mess with people. And that only happened because he wanted it to, as he brings his physical form back with no problem.
I hope both Bill and Discord break the 4th wall so much that they hijack the episode and end up being the hosts of their own battle themselves.

I am very glad that this episode will be released soon, because thanks to it's announcement I decided to rewatch Gravity Falls (and also watch Amphibia and The Owl House). I really hope that this episode will be good because Bill is my favorite cartoon villain and I hope that he will be shown correctly. I can't wait for this battle, but in the meantime, rember: REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD, BYE.

If this is gonna be anything like that old Bill Cipher vs Discord CFC video, I'm gonna need to bring some eye bleach.
They can at least have this battle take place in Discord's mind/nightmare to give Bill a fair chance since that's where he's MOST powerful. But Discord is the SPIRIT OF CHAOS! He has stronger feats and anything Bill does will end up empowering Discord.
It would be dumb and SUICIDAL if Bill fought Discord during wierdmaggedon!

If they fight in the real world with Bill having his physical form, then he has universal (possibly further) strength. He even defeated the embodiment of time (albeit temporarily as Time Baby can't be permanently destroyed). In his physical form, he has full access to all his nightmare realm and dreamspace powers

Discord can literally shut off magic inside of his mind. Bill is absolutely fucked if he goes in Discord’s mind.
I think Discord remains as long as there is chaos, and the chaos can be as simple as talking to yourself in a mirror. So as long as Gravity Falls exist Discord will exist since that place is a chaos magnet.
I'm an AR veteran, and if this battle is gonna be anything like the old CFC version, then it's gonna be super swell!

You have to admit, destroying an entire dimension sounds WAY more impressive than plunging Equestria into chaos. Who knew triangles were evil?!
I think a hint to how the battle will play out lies in how they interact with no-magic zones, for lack of a better term. Bill Cipher is completely blocked by the Mystery Shack's defenses and relies on other means to disable it, and is even blocked by a metal plate in the head. Meanwhile, Discord is able to trek for (likely) miles in a zone where his magic can't do anything, and is only at a disadvantage when extra trickery is applied while he is de-powered.
Discord: Are you a calm, reasonable person?
Bill: Uh... No? Helloooo!! Do I *look* like a calm, reasonable person to you?!
Discord: No. Good! *I'm* not a calm, reasonable person either...
*He throws a gigantic marshmallow on a stick at Bill like a javelin, before tackling him through a wall*
Discord: *BECAUSE YOU HURT MY PONY FRIEND, YOU SON OF A TRIANGLE!!*
This will be the Battle of Chaos. I think Discord has a fair chance of winning this one, considering that the only things that could defeat him were opponents with a massive magical prowess or being that could absorb his powers.

Both don't have a physical/true form.
Both are godlike entities.
Both are one of many of their own kinds. (Nyarlathotep with the Outer Gods and Shuma-Gorath with the Old Ones)
Both can take on any kind of form. (Nyarlathotep with his avatars and Shuma-Gorath taking the form of what a person fears)
Both can be rather big.
Both have had to deal with their respective enemies. (Randolph Carter and Nodens for Nyarlathotep and Sorcerer Supremes like Dr. Strange for Shuma-Gorath)
Both of said enemies have supernatural powers. (Randolph having studied magic and Nodens being a deity and Sorcerer Supremes like Dr. Strange using magic itself)
Both have been to or ruled Earth from long ago. (With Nyarlathotep being there at Ancient Egypt and Shuma-Gorath ruling humanity on Earth during its early days)
Both are described as evil.
Both like to cause destruction.
What do you think? This could be a good Halloween episode.

Two Deadpools actually. Bill and Discord will give Wiz and Boomstick trouble like never before.
Gravity Falls is literally one of my favorite things in the history of things. I own the entire series on Blu-Ray, have the official journal and two of the other books, and even own two Funko Pops of Bill himself. As you could imagine, seeing Death Battle talk about not only this life-changing series that has prodded my imagination and inspired my creativity on the deepest possible scale, but also one of my favorite animated villains of all time as a result, it's pretty special.

Im with Bill on this one Discord has lost his powers and been tricked to many times to pose much of a Threat to Cipher.
However, Bill has never demonstrated the ability to take away magic.
Heck, a magic barrier was what kept the Mystery Shack safe from Bill.
Bill is definitely crafty, but he rarely makes deals unless he feels that he needs the upper hand.
After all, he needed permission to enter Stan’s mind.
When he’s confident that he’s on top, he’s more than content with just killing his opponent, rather than making a deal.
Heck, if he even mentions Fluttershy once then Discord will not hold his punches.
I think it’s gonna end with making a deal have tea games with fluttershy

The biggest question is whether or not Discord has an ability or several that can specifically target any of bills few weaknesses. We know the zodiac wheel can’t be used (since it requires the ones involved with it to activate it) so that just leaves using bills deal against him or something like that one ray gun ford used but didn’t hit dead on.
Discords chaos magic should be able to harm Bill since it goes against logic.

Discord is a being of pure chaos, he is empowered by things being out of order so something as simple as a slanted picture frame gives Discord power. Given that bill loves making chaos he would be empowering Discord the longer the fight drags on.

I’m personally pulling for discord, while bill is incredibly powerful he does have limits. Discord on the other hand the god of chaos, and yes he does have weaknesses, I highly doubt bill could destroy him

Very solid. Things link into things & stuff.
Nitpick, Bill may regen parts of his spirit, but he was in a dream at the time, a place where anyone could do anyone at will, even humans w/o powers. Giving him any of the powers he shows there is very iffy.
This is going to be a CHAOTIC battle!

I have been waiting for a death battle with bill for so long super excited for this episode
As a brony of over ten years I feel an obligation to break this fight down. Discord has been beaten 2 ways.
1. The Elements of Harmony which Bill can't use so these are immediately out of the ways he can win
2. His magic stolen/cut off. Once by the changeling McGuffin rock which Bill also can't use because it ensures only Changeling magic can be used.
The only other time he was beaten with this was against Tirek who manipulated Discord into working with him only to betray him at the last second.
To my knowledge Bill has never displayed the ability to steal or cut off magic Discord has it. Now we have to look at mind games while Discord can trick, he's not really a manipulator at least not compared to Bill he's more a schemer even at his defeat by The Princesses he planted seeds to mess with them years down the line, while Bill plans it's more tricking often desperate people. Yes, Discord can be tricked his magic was taken in that moment, so he had no way to fight back (again don't remember if Bill displayed this ability and it was Tirek's specialty).
If bill wants to try and play mind games he's trying to do so against the literal embodiment of chaos and disharmony so good luck with that. All in all I have to give this to Discord who will also be use to Bills personality because if we're ging by comics Discord dated Cosmos who was the living embodiment of Malice fun fact.
It's about time you featured Bill on this show.
Hopefully unlike everyone else that has done this, they realize discord is Q from Star Trek. That is from Lauren Faust. So, it is cannon.
If he truly was, Elements of Harmony wouldn't have worked. Also, Q continuum have also stepped in and punished Q before. They're not happy about him playing with realities as his playthings.
'Nightmare' is right, get ready for Wierdmageddon part 2, it's gonna be one heck of a shindig.
NGL, I can see Discord and Bill hanging out together and having fun in their own twisted way, maybe even opening portals to other dimensions to invite Aku and Sheogorath to the party.

I know nothing about Discord, but what I do know is Bill has always (as far as we've seen) been limited by the confines of gravity falls, which heavily limited his capabilities. That's the only reason he was defeatable. So if the Death Battle is presented as though Bill escaped, he's probably got a solid chance.
But again, I have zero clue what Discord is or does, so I don't really know lol

As powerful Bill is, but we have seen Discord pull off some other insane feats, not just from the show but IDW comics as well.
I guess it is time to PONY up here. These fighters surely must understand the GRAVITY of their situation. One will live and the other will go down the FALLS. If their world was an online quest, this would take place in E-QUESTRIA. Maybe we coudl de-CIPHER the chances of someone winning here. Someone in this fight is going to have to cut the DisCORD in the end. These two will be WEIRDAGEDDON at each other's throats for sure. These fighters are sure to bring the CHAOS to this Death Battle. Perhaps the fighters lack the HARMONY to be at peace with one another. In terms of being the winner, only one of these two fighters will fit the BILL. If I am missing something, please PonyVILLE me in on the details. Hopefully, the video whenit comes out on RUclips won't get DEMON-itized. So i'm going to be honest, as much as I love gravity falls if Bill Cipher isn't in his weirdmeggedon stage (so the barrier around gravity falls is removed) all he can really do is posses some random bystander or make a deal with someone assuming this is in public otherwise my man is getting crunched like a dorito

TDK would make short work of Bill, because Wonderwoman when she had the power of truth and could see the past, present and future all at once she stated that she couldn't see beyond TDK and his laughter. So Bill would be limited to only what TDK wants Bill to see and then absorb him into some energy container he found in the dark multiverse.

Oh boy, Bill Cipher in Death Battle? I have a feeling, like a certain red suited annoyance, might break the fourth wall and actually speak to those two. And I think when it comes to craziness, I think Bill’s got the lion’s share in that more than Discord since unlike Discord he doesn’t reform. And unlike that red annoyance who just annoyed the two, I think he’ll torture the two mentally and maybe physically
Gonna be a feast for Discord, the draconequus is literally fueled by chaos of all kinds (To the point that the one time he tried to be orderly, he nearly erased himself from existence).
Anything Bill does is basically a power up for his opponent no matter what he does.
