I’m getting the vibe that Vile Eye has a soft spot for Bill Cipher. It makes sense considering they’re both one-eyed extra-dimensional beings.
What if theyre the same person?
@@hungryowl1559
Would Bill be able to sit down and actually psychoanalyze people, or would he just open their head up and play with their brain like a stress ball?
@@hungryowl1559 Get him to admit it, I will believe it
@@josephd.5524 Valid question
Eye see what you did there.
Bill is C'thulu FOR KIDS! (kinda)
I always got the impression that Vile Eye is like the Eye God of Knowledge from Skyrim-Morrowind.
“I have a couple of kids that I have to turn into corpses” Disney really let that line slide
Gotta get the word "kill" past the censors
kinda funny how this made it in but things like Tambry's halloween party flyer didn't lmao
Yet they couldn’t let gay people exist
That ram keyblade in kingdom hearts
Anakin Skywalker approves
Wild how, even after the Book of Bill's release this video still holds up. The book greatly enhances Bills character, I'd recommend it
I love the book of Bill so much!! Would you consider nerding out about it with me? :)
Sixty degrees that come in threes.
Watches from within birch trees.
Saw his own dimension burn.
Misses home and can't return.
Says he's happy. He's a liar.
Blame the arson for the fire.
If he wants to shirk the blame,
He'll have to invoke my name.
One way to absolve his crime.
A different form, a different time.
-Axolotl
Where is this from??

@@Saad4hm3dI heard it bc of a song on tiktok
I love how absolutely satisfying and undignified his defeat ended up being. First, he, an extradimensional trickster demon, gets conned by a mere human conman, then attempts to renege a deal when it doesn’t go his way only to be locked in the burning room with Stanley. His powers fizzle out when he tries to escape and Stanley ORDERS him to look at him. Throughout the entire show, Bill Cipher imagery had been everywhere, with his iconic singular eye being given tremendous focus. And that's because it was always Bill who was seeing everyone, looking into peoples' minds, and ruining their lives. He literally drove Ford to insanity with this notion; no matter what he did, Bill was always there. But now, STANLEY has the upper hand. Stanley is the one ordering this dream demon to look at HIM with the very trademark feature he used to spy on people...and Bill is so terrified that he listens.
Bill's reaction to Stanley letting both their minds being erased is to call him an idiot. Being a unimaginably solipsistic entity from a flat dimension, he is literally incapable of understanding that someone like Stanley would put the well-being of another ahead of their own.
Bill, for the first and last time in his eons long life, is reduced to his knees, terrified and tries to beg for mercy by offering Stanley personal gain, only for an angry Stanley to refuse by stating that Bill (despite his high intelligence) was stupid himself for making a foolish mistake in messing with the Pines family in the first place. However, Bill refuses to accept this by claiming that Stan is making a bigger mistake, but Stan himself will have NONE of it for good.
Realizing that he’s completely screwed, his body begins to shapeshift and warp uncontrollably into different forms as he garbles a backwards message (invoking the Axolotl to bring him back to life in a desperate, last resort) before Stanley destroys him with a single punch, seemingly erasing him for good.
All that’s left of Bill is a lonely stone statue in the forest, hand outstretched to make a deal.
(And even if the Axolotl grants his wish, it’s highly likely that he’ll be forced to face the consequences of his actions and/or be returned to a weaker form that isn’t as threatening as before.)
So to summarize: After Bill abused the cast for the entire series, it's so goddamn satisfying to see Bill completely defenseless. His powers don't work, Stanley isn't listening to any of his bribes, and his trademark smart guy persona completely crumbles as he becomes genuinely, truly terrified. After every other encounter regarding Bill as an impossible force to be reckoned with, it's nice to see him finally be treated as what he truly is; just some pathetic, self-entitled twat who needs to tear others down to make himself feel good.
Man got the entire Plot of FNaF, The transcript of every One Piece Episode, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bible in this comment.
@@OverHeed no
You are not wrong.
Bill could have done great things with his power. But he rather cause pain and laugh at others. That's not new or smart. It's the same old BS most villains do. As entertaining as he was he was not that imaginative or powerful in the end of he's beat by mortal 3 times.
@@kokayinewsome9308The same sentiment shared by James Stillwell towards Homelander in “The Boys” comic.
Oh the irony
Bill Cipher to this day is probably one of the best Disney villains, especially from one of their cartoon series. He's entertaining and seems like the life of the party, but yet cruel, sadistic and terrifying. He stands alongside the iconic movie ones like Ursula and Hades.
You mean floats alongside them haha.
@@nikosaurus4238 Right, of course. xD
Granted, in case the likes of Gravity Falls, Amphibia, and The Owl House get sequels, I really hope the new antagonists will be fellow humans working for some newly founded interdimensional defense force of sorts, with elements borrowed from XCOM, F.E.A.R., the Stargate program, Third Echelon, NERV, and more.
Nice Ryuko Matoi PFP there, by the way... hmm, a Vile Eye video on Ragyo Kiryuin would be interesting.
Hands down yes
I agree, he is a heavy hitter of the villains list. But Hades is literally a god. I say Bill is number two to him.
The Book of Bill confirmed a lot of this. Despite saying his people loved him, it's obvious that he was actually ostracized by his people due to his mutation which let him see the 3rd Dimension, and when he tried to show them the beauty of it, it backfired big time and his entire world was set ablaze... along with the mention of mandibles and him being covered in blood, him internally crying over never being able to undo the damage, and ultimately being alone. The events were literally so traumatic he literally blacks out mentally in order to force the memories down.
In other words, Bill's embracing of chaos, weirdness, and a mad party of mayhem is simply him trying to drown in debauchery and hedonism to escape from his guilt and pain. Hell, the Axolotl literally sends Bill to a Therapy Prism, where if Bill could accept treatment, come to terms with what happened, and atoned for his crimes, he could be reincarnated as a lesser, but more benign life form. Unfortunately, Bill is far too proud and in denial to accept, and will likely remain there forever, willing to do just about anything but face his past and admit what went wrong.
Who would've guessed that one of the most evil and insane animated villains of all time, would have such a shockingly tragic tragic backstory.. I know evil is often molded by tragedy, but Bill does such a good job burying his trauma that you'd honestly think he was a malicious force of nature without one remorseful bone in his body.
But so many of us can relate to attempting to drown our traumas away, chasing the next dopamine hit through some mind numbing activity.
@@DLxxx the best characters are the ones who aren't what they seem at first. Bill seems like a sadist who likes to cause death and destruction but he's actually a tragic character who's running away from the terrible things he has done.
I personally dont like that. Bill Cypher is truly beyond what we humans can comprehend, we can outsmart but never truly get him or reach his power. Its a HP Lovecraftian \/ old religious horror I appreciate the show introduced to young viewers. Hence, Bill should be evil because he IS. There's no explanation, no justification, perhaps he chooses to do so because he can do so much with his abilities. We have to think about the origins of Bill based on clues.
Besides, the backstory is odd. So lets follow the logic. Bill accidentally destroys his people because he wanted to impress them and goes into a hedonistic rampage to forget his pain. Except he SHOULD feel guilty about his next acts of evil against those who weren't his people. He shouldn't feel so happy seeing the pain of others he hurts. It would make sense if bill say shows a more carefree/reckless/almost naive perspective of the universe and what his actions do. But instead bill is a sadist. It doesn't follow if bill a tragic figure who has issues.
@@bradhorowitz2765the entire book is him denying guilt so hard you know he feels guilty, so thats actually kinda the point
@@ashelmao9578 i understand i just dont think the backstory is that great. i think by giving him a sympathetic background, it limits his evil and makes his actions rather confusing. if bill bill truly is feeling guilt, then why does he take such joy in actually killing someone versus say just being inconsiderate and completely oblivious; a more laissez faire party boy who just happens to do some immoral stuff (but rarely truly horrendous stuff). its quite clear he knows what he is doing.
This is the most abstract concept and backstory for a villain I’ve ever seen
In the book of bill, it’s implied that he was pretty young when he liberated his dimension, and it’s also implied that it was an accident.
Truly one of the most interesting villains in fiction, great idea for an episode!
I think it’s safe to say the show got so much better when Bill was onscreen
I litterally watched this show for Bill, and watched Star vs for Eclipsa and Tom. Its safe to say that
@@daisyphinney1038 I originally got into it cus of toffee, then left the moment they crushed toffees potential with their high heel. Glad I did, apparently the ending they had for the show was awful from what I heard.
@@harrylarry6324 toffee was surprisingly intresting. I agree they destroyed his character. Yeah the last season was just there. nothing special
@@harrylarry6324Star fell off after Tofee died
@daisyphinney1038 is there any reason they didn't do much with Tofee? Like what was even his motive he comes back and then dies again.
Did you know series creator Alex Hirsch originally wanted Bill to be played by David Lynch? Hirsch is a huge fan of Twin Peaks and cited it as an inspiration for the show. Lynch declined but I cant help but wonder what that performance wouldve been like.
Bill was heavily inspired by Twin Peaks's main villain: BOB.
Would have loved this and despite that was still his inspiration for his voice.
At least he got Kyle Mc Lachlan for the bus driver
theres loads of new bill lore omygoodness
Bill was a chaotic neutral in season 1 but was seen more as a chaotic evil near the end.
There is a theory that Bill destroyed his home by accident considering the Axolotl's poem
Sounded pretty intentional tbh XD
I disagree, I feel like "blame the arson for the fire" is like saying "blame the gun for the shooting", I think it just means Bill doesn't consider it as his fault and refuses to take responsibility for it, therefore blaming arson for the fire even though HE is to blame.
@@cbfranco3307 That is a valid point
I think he was Hirsch's attempt at making a Discordian Demiurgge. He has the potential for great benevolence to the point to where he creates a prison that is in many ways like heaven for Mable. He also states that weirdmageddon is a party that never ends with a host that never dies and that time is dead and meaning has no meaning. In many ways he has yin and yang properties that allude to the fact he is multifaceted and hasn't embraced his true self fully
Hirsch has said the crashing aliens didn’t cause the weirdness nexus of Gravity Falls, but rather was a victim of it.
Imagine forming a social hierarchy based on how many sides/corners you have lol
no more arbitrary than what we have up here in our 3 dimensional world really, is it?
@@uncroppedsoop”I have more green pieces of paper then you I’m better then you” yeah that sounds about right
He turned Coffee into decaff, the actual most monstrous individual ever covered on this channel.
Great video as always! Gravity Falls is definitely one of the greatest animated series of all time. I was pleasantly surprised how good it was when I watched it. Bill Cipher is one of those “love to hate / hate to love” kinda villains.
Was hoping to see these guys get covered:
- Joe Cooper (Killer Joe)
- Nino Brown (New Jack City)
- Jake "The Muss" Heke (Once Were Warriors)
- Cad Bane (Star Wars series)
You’ll have to update this video once you read “The Book of Bill”.
Bill was one of the last villains I’d expect to see you cover, but I’m so happy that you did. Great video as always.
Bill Cipher was probably my biggest fear as a kid. His playfully sadistic attitude and near Unlimited power was terrifying to me, even his ability to shape-shift froze me to my core.
“Remember, reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, bye!”
he should do a follow up with the book of bill
He’s like Joker and Mister Mxyzptlk fused together.
Well, Alex Hirsch confirmed there will be a book coming out, called, 'The Book of Bill', coming out in July 2024. It'll be a book about his origins, how he came to be, and some fun little cyphers and puzzles to solve as well
The next analyzing evil should be on Jareth, the Goblin King from the movie Labyrinth.
I wouldn’t say evil but antagonistic. Another good choice would be the Skeksis from The Dark Crystal and the Lord of Darkness from Legend
Bill:*Destroys universes for fun*
Also Bill:”BUY CRYPTO SUCKERS!”
I still don't understand why a demon from another dimension would care about gold or crypto
If Vile Eye makes another list of anime villain, he needs to make a video about Blackbeard or Doflamingo from One Piece
I would love a video on Zamasu from Dragonball Super.
Out of all of the Dragonball villians I find that he has the most depth to his story. He sees mortal beings and humans in particular as a blight on the universe.and to a large degree feels they should have to suffer for their existence.
Zamasu could've easily destroyed the earth with a wave of his hand but instead forces the humans to suffer and run for their lives, not because of sport but because he feels its what they honestly deserve. He's like a fusion of Darth Vader and Eric Killmonger. And he very much is like a Dragonball version of a Sith Lord given that he originally was ment to be a Kai and ended up falling to the dark side and trying to kill his master. Frieza is just Joeffery Lanister, Cell is just Ivan Drago, Buu is just boringly evil. Zamasu has a real motive and understandable intentions. I think he'd make a good video.
What bugged me so much about Bill was his he seemed to do so much pain and misery to people without any of it be personal. It was like he hurt others just because they were there. He'd do it to anyone. With no reason, just cuz.
I would love to see Vern schillinger from HBO “Oz” turn into a video. Probably the most evil character I’ve ever seen in fiction.
I just finished watching Oz and I totally agree. Schillinger definitely should get a video, not just because he is an amazing character, but because Oz doesn't get much attention on RUclips or anywhere else really. Would love to see it get the respect it deserves.
@@lucasgordon1551 exactly
A cartoon Disney villain? Nice! If you end up doing more Disney villains I highly suggest Emperor Belos, he would be really interesting to see you cover.
Was that Dancing Mad I heard in the beginning? It’s a neat choice, both characters have similarities. :)
Could you cover the Other Mother from Coraline?
I would have expected Alex Hirsch to know that Washington had nothing to do with the dollar bill and the bill itself get's it's iconography from the Great Seal of the United States
Shit you not . I seen this and immediately clicked to watch. Bill Cypher has got to be one of my most favorite children’s show villains! Omg if they hadve used him for an actual adult audience i would’ve loved to see how far they would’ve went with him.
what a cool and crazy villain with a lot of charisma and charm that makes him so unique to almost every other villain his studio has ever made, i sure hope he fights someone whose powerset and origins are similar to his own on a date that happens to have historical significance
That a Crack at death battle?😁
I would like to recommend perhaps one of the most underrated villains from the latest 90s: Makuta Teridax, from the Bionicle universe. He was one of most terrifying villains I have seen during my childhood, a very scary mixture of a devious schemer that used everyone around him, a calculating planner that managed to succeed even after all the setbacks he had and all the victories the heroes had, and a powerful entity that was nearly a force of nature.
A episode on Marty Byrde from Ozark would be awesome, there are so many characters in that show that I think you could easily make a full length episode on
Great vid as always vile! You should definitely cover Emperor Belos from The Owl House next. He's a very complex and intimidating antagonist!
Can you do a video on Emperor Belos from "The Owl House" next? "The Owl House" is another cartoon from the creators of "Gravity Falls"
I hope you cover other Disney villains such as Andrias from Amphibia, Emperor Belos from The Owl House and the greatest evil of them all….
Dr Heinz Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb
Been a channel fan for a long time! Your videos are simply amazing! I can’t wait to see what else you cover! Please to more ASOIAF villains! Your Tywin Lannister video is my favorite of yours!
crazy how he was originally going to just be some neutral trickster character. ig it was a great deicision to make him more malevolent
I’m Happy You Covered Bill There’s Some Suggestions For Future Analyzing evil Episodes. Pearl (X) James Sunderland Slient Hill 2 Homelander The Boys Vladimir Makarov Raul Menendez From Call of Duty
Great video! I don’t know if you’ve done one on it already or not, but I’d love an episode covering “The Beast” from “Over the Garden Wall” too
Could you make a video on Nox and or Quilby from wakfu in the future? Such an underrated show with exceptional villains.
André Linoge from “Storm of the Century” is a villain that I’ve yet to be seen covered by anyone
Bill is never seen directly killing anyone in Gravity Falls during Weirdmaggedon.
He killed Time Baby and most of his Time Police agents. At least I think they’re dead….
Bill is definitely Disney's best villian whose a cruel and sick psychopath of a psychopath but had a great sense of humor and joy to watch hopefully you can cover my other favorite animated villians like Belo/Philip Witterbane from the Owl House,Tai Lung and Lord Shen from the Kung Fu Panda movies and many more once I remember them
We will find out in July about Bills Backstory I’m so excited
I really would like to see analysing evil : CoD villains (Zakhaev, Makarov, Menendez, Kravchenko etc)
I’d love to see Belos at some point he’s the definition of pure evil
Loved the vid! While on the topic of cartoons, can next be Aku from Samurai Jack?
As thorough and as well-delivered as ever, Vile. Much appreciated for fulfilling this longtime request!
Other requests: 1) Catra--She-Ra And The Princesses Of Power. 2) Phillip Wittebane/Emperor Belos--The Owl House. 3) King Andiras Leviathan and/or The Core--Amphibia.
Looking forward to the next ones! Keep it up! :)
I would love to see you analyze Archie Bunker from All in the family, or George Jefferson from The Jeffersons.
Who else is here after the announcement of The Book Of Bill?
Analyzing Evil: Arcturus Mengsk From Starcraft, the book I, Mengsk also puts a lot of insight into his childhood would love to hear your insights about one of my personal favorite villains in gaming.
do you think youll be doing a revamp of this due to the book of bill at some point? Great video regardless though!
I LOVE this villain. Thank you so much for this video ❤
All these years of seeing these recent cartoons and thinking there was nothing there. Turns out they have dark interesting complex with elements of real life imagery all mixed in. I think I got to watch this show now or at least the bill episodes.
11:48 You know what's funny bill literally could have just asked just give his origin story strait up and just asked for the portal but I guess he's not me.
Love the Lovecraftian Dorito!
Hey could you do a vid on TSSM Doc Ock? I feel like he was very underestimated as a supervillain. I also often wonder what could've been if this underrated gem was allowed to continue.
Well, Bill put it best:
“Remember! Reality's an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold! Byeeee!”
We need a Bill Cipher 2.0 video when the Book of Bill gets released.
I should give gravity falls a try some time.
Probably a long shot, but how about Emet Selch(or The Unsundered Ascians as a whole) or Meteion from FFXIV. That would be pretty cool. :)
Could you do one on Jonas Venture from the Venture Bros? I feel like you would have a blast analyzing him. He starts out as a classic good guy super scientist but as you watch the show you see him for what he truly is, a total monster.
Love your videos!
Can you do Emperor Belos from The Owl House, next?
He's basically 17th century imperialism doing cosplay in another dimension. With an ego and grandeur decisions the size of a Southern plantation, and the bigotry to go with it. Presumably spurred by jealousy at his brother falling in love with a witch and maybe fratricide.
Dunno if you take suggestions, but an analysing evil on Tom Ripley would make for a good watch.
A video about Roy from Dhmis (both Web and Tv series versions) would be pretty interesting
The Vile Eye,
Bram Stoker’s Dracula would be a good one for you
"He's going to destroy the world, for the funny."
I would love to see you do an analysis on Robert De Niro’s Dwight Hansen from ‘This Boys Life’ (1993)
Analyzing Evil: Montgomery Burns
Would love to see an episode on Negan
This is gonna be good, I'd like to put the idea out there to look into Ridley, including his representation in the manga Metroid: Zero
Jace Turner from The Gifted. He was a sentinel serviced agent who had the job of capturing and imprisoning mutants.
I’ve always heard how great this show is.
Watch it
ANALYSISING EVIL TIGHTEN FROM MEGAMIND
He’s not exactly evil, he’s just doing things that have consequences that could never apply to him, without experiencing fear, near death, danger or anything of that sort, it results in something like bill, he doesn’t recognise these things as evil or horrible to experience because he hasn’t ever been able to feel anything but power
The creature that lives off of weirdness and chaos.
Bill Cipher is Saturn.
A suggestion:
Analyzing Evil: Park Yeon-jin from The Glory.
Hey Analyzing Evil! Where do you get all your clips?
This was good. We need Mrs.Coulter from His Dark Materials.
I don't think Bill got his power from the Axolotl though.
Axolotl are eternal larvae that can regenerate from grave injuries, so that's probably why Bill would invoke a divine one.
I request Wilson Fisk "Kingpin" from Daredevil next
To make a Villain OP but have a likable personality that people can enjoy and believe it, takes some serious good writing to pull off
Also as a suggestion I say for a newer villain that being “Kokushibo” from Kimetsu no Yaiba
Analyzing Evil: Dudley Smith From L.A. Confidential or Dr. Emilio Lizardo from Buckaroo Banzai …
I hope to have even a sliver of Bill's weirdness someday
Alex Hirsch is as if a 90's cartoon writer accidentally fell into the modern day. Good fucking shit.
Bill Cipher is pretty much just on a Lucifer arc: he craves freedom and discord, against the image of order and organisation which Yahweh intended.
Or, in another way, I think him and Sheogorath from the Elder Scrolls could get along swimmingly 😂
wasn’t expecting this one, nice! You should try watching snowfall, the show about a college kid selling cocaine during the crack epidemic in the 80s, with the cia playing a role. There’s a few characters that would make good episodes on here!
We need an episode on Emperor Belos from The Owl House. Arguably Disney's most complex and interesting villain.
Idk about most complex. A lot of Belos’ backstory was hinted at, butvwe never saw it due to the S3 cuts. So he’s basically a colonialist bigot with a superiority complex.
@@benwasserman8223 oh come on man, that's a very unfair way to simplify and judge a character. By this logic, Thanos is just another madman who also has such a superiority complex. I'm not saying he's the most complex creature in the world, obviously, but what you're saying isn't completely honest either, you can reduce almost every character ever written like that, the devil is in the details. And if nothing else, whatever we say, Bellos is a more interesting antagonist than Bill, at least he has a motive and understandable reasons for his actions in relation to his background.
@@borislavangelov2933 Of course not. In the comics, Thanos was mainly a simp for Death incarnate, only to get cockblocked no matter what he did. And getting cucked by Deadpool lol
@@benwasserman8223 I don't care who is what in the comics and books, it's not like that in the movies. What's in the movie is what it is. I gave this as an example simply because Thanos in the movies is also crazy, with a rather questionable moral view and thinks of himself as the good one, like Bellos, and if someone wants, they can easily simplify it with two sentences by saying, well, he's crazy, which is completely true but not everything at all. This was my analogy, otherwise what he is like in the comics is a separate topic, I will only say that it is good that they changed the character, because if he had remained the same in the names, it would have been terrible.
one of the best villains ever written. id definitely love to see you cover flowey, easily my favorite villain ever made. there is so much depth you can go into with him and thats not even including his asriel counterpart!
