I admire this Blues squad so much. They reminded me of the 2012 Kings. Struggled the early half of the year. Changed coaches and just took off on a Magical journey.
Interesting thing about the 2012 Kings, all of the advanced analytics geeks predicted that they would win the cup based on the statistics. The experts all said that was ridiculous. They not only won the cup, but they were like 16-4 en route with a series sweep and two series went to only 5 games, they actually dominated. The 2012 Kings legitimized the use of advanced analytics and statistics ever since. Pretty wild. Ever watch the movie Moneyball?

A lot of guys 6 ft on the dot, and only 10 players over 200 lbs. Size was definitely the main factor, but blown calls didn't help either.
I thought that Boston would win.... I hoped that st. Louis would win....
Same! Happy for the Blues ,,my second favorite jersey ,the ORIGINAL jersey! Next year Blackhawks!
Yes me too
Same
Wish granted! YESS!
It was expected, but when the blues scored first I knew we were gonna win.
Watching December 2019 for the umpteenth time... still love it! 50 WOULD NOT be denied. Awesome game. LGB!
It's now been 5 years! Never gets old. I waited so long for this moment and is still one of the best days of my life. I still vividly remember the shock of when Schenn scored the 3rd goal. I couldn't believe it was actually going to happen! Such a special game that I will always cherish.
Schenner’s goal is when it felt real. One of the most unforgettable days of my life
I’d say the goal at the closing seconds of the first period was the gut punch to the Bruins
I’m so glad that the blues won
Remember how Boston fans were talking about how it was going to be a sweep after game 1. Well the blues did it and Boston choked
Will Schromm sorry man that’s was like 2 weeks after we won the cup and I was way too cocky
Wow you finally one lol congrats 😂😂
Ray Vinagro I know we’re champs
The League fixed the series. Don't kid yourself, the blues were the worst team to make the playoffs and were carried by the refs in every series.
They never choked. The blues played a type of hockey Boston couldn’t beat
The St. Louis Blues won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history!!!!
FIRST EVER ST LOUIS BLUES STANLEY CUP WIN!!!!!
Everyone in St. Louis was rooting for them even if the Blues are in Boston......We, the fans, have been supporting them no matter what. It was their turn to taste that victory....that Stanley Cup Final Victory.
A year later I still share your excitement. Amazing comeback last season. Great follow up this season. Go Devils!
I watched the Nationals win there first title then the Blues
As a Leafs fan, I'm just so glad that Alex Steen got an amazing career with the Blues and a cup before retiring. And Bozak got a cup too which is very well deserved.
Tears. Just tears, man. Waited soooo long...since the '80s. Just beautiful.
Well deserved congrats!
St Louis blues and Toronto raptors first time champions!
lmao Bruin fans are so entitled. They start leaving the arena before the game is over.
Bruh ong
You wanna watch the other team celebrate a Stanley cup in your own stadium? And on top of that a two hour trip to leave the parking lot? Lame fans for sure but nothing to do with entitlement
@@aryaghassemlou955 yeah but you get to see the stanley cup in person.i would have stayed
they're the same way when the patriots lost they would dip like at halftime hahahahha biggest facts ever
@@aryaghassemlou955 Yeah. People do. It's called being mature and having respect and not having such a fragile ego that you can't watch a team "celebrate a Stanley cup" in your own stadium. Total entitlement.
This is so satisfying to just watch binnington save goal after goal. What a legend. Congrats to the most deserving team In the world.💙💛💙💛
Most deserving at their time, others are waiting offstage.
I was waiting for my flight to London at Logan the night they were playing the last game. I was absolutely rooting for the Blues. But seeing as I was watching at a Bruins themed bar I had to restrain myself. When the pilot announced that the Blues won their first Stanley cup championship. I was so excited and teared up with joy. My 80 year old grandpa who lived outside St. Louis and was a fan since their first season finally got to see them win.
Extended highlights with no third goal....?
What goofs they are.
haha.. and i was thinking i missed it...
No 3rd goal and no Boston PP in the 1st period?
Brad Marchand should be suspended all of next season
@@Paul-km8ko dickhead!
Still brings a tear to my eye when they rush the ice in celebration 💙 BLUUUES
Two years later, and I still watch this once a week!!
Binnington was a beast
Kid had a run. He'll probably drop back to the minors or fade out like Tim Thomas but he had a magic magic run.
@@jefflevesque5316 no way!!!
@@harleyrider6633 I've watched the game all my life...we'll see. Hopefully he has a long career. That being said, he can expect to get run next season if the Blues continue their ethos of "physical play". One thing about the league is karma does come back to get ya. I'll use Marchand as the example.

I remember that night vividly. me and my family were watching the game in the living room, and I was so nervous. We were yelling for our blues as loud as we could, and when the buzzer hit zero, I grabbed my phone and started blasting Gloria. Fireworks were going off in my town and I called my friends, screaming we won, and then promptly hung up. Such good memories.
One of my good friends was going through a deep depression after losing his wife to a battle with cancer. I've never been much of a Blues fan given that the Kings are my team but I was rooting for them on this playoff run. Watching him tear up in joy and emotion, I know this meant a lot to him.
Congratulations Blues on your first cup win!
Three years later, it’s still a fantastic vid and generates instant smiles & emotions whenever you need it. LGB
I waited almost my whole life to see this. 50+ seasons worth of living and dying with the Note etched deeply on my heart. Waiting, hoping, believing, denying the reality of things. You 2019 boys made my dreams come true. Thank you and bless you. Thank you for all the die hards that didn't make it to see this. They would have been be thrilled. I have known many. Of the many many Blues heroes I have loved you guys are the cream of the crop. Thank you boys! Thank you so, so very much! LGB !!!
How cool was that..... Great job by the Blues. They definitely proved they were the best this year..
Better team lost. Boston was the best this year. Blues played cheap and dirty.
@@TotalMishap Oh now the Blues played cheap and dirty... What a load of croc!!! What's Boston been doing all year and in playoff!!??? LMAO Better team … tsk yeah right! If they were better team why aren't they hoisting the cup!
@@raankokaanzaki3562 cause boston handed them that win
@@TotalMishap Ya right Boston was lucky they even got that far. I bet hockey all season long and Boston was a team you couldn't rely on. I picked the Blues at the start of the season, could of made a good small fortune.. Blues deserved it and earned it. We have seen enough of Boston winning. Hats off to the BLUES.......
@@TotalMishap Ya that's what happened to the Knights.. Best team was forced out by the worst call in modern hockey history.. Next year it's the Knights.
To those who left when the blues scored their 4th goal, you’d think they would want to see the cup even if their team is losing
I am super happy for the blues. After my three favourite teams were knocked out in the first round (Toronto, Vegas, and Pittsburgh), i rooted for them the rest of the way. Binnington played phenomenally over the course of the playoffs. Well done.
its just a set of emotions it would be more painful to see the cup in blues hands
Just re watching this now I just realized how good of a game Jordan binnington and how much of a backbone he gave to this team. mad respect
This was truly emotional for me and my family. My mom has been a blues fan since the late 90s and has been waiting for that moment. Not only that but the goaltender, Jordan Binnington, used to play for our hometown team, the Chicago Wolves. We actually got to see him a lot. We had also been to a St. Louis Blues game in March. It was perfect that a 30+ year Blues fan who had seen the winning goalie in person won the cup. It’s 2024 and I still look back to this.
This will never EVER get old!
Still brings tears to my eyes after all this time
St Louis fan, and I'm very glad that the Blues won!
I've watched this so many times and it never gets old. Thankyou God
Still LOVE that goal on Marschand. That's the type of play that loses big games. Thanks 🙏
Lookin back on it. What a series. Pure elation for the blues once they realized they’d done it!
At that point I yelled - we’re going to win the Cup. And I’m in Boston. Fantastic. 51 years waiting for a Cup
Thrilled for city of St Louis & the Blues organization! Unbelievable climb in the 2nd half of season. Each playoff series was exciting. And good ole time hockey in the Finals by hardworking & humble players & Coach Berube. Sabres fan here... will always be hoping for Buffalo's turn to hoist the cup. Well done, gents!
that brayden schenn goal still gives me goosebumps till this day
Jesus, im a 34 year old man that started going to games when i was around 4-5 years old. I still cant watch this without openly crying.
51 years! Been a fan since '68. 51 years!! The wait is over!
This video never gets old, always fun to relive this moment
I had tears when they won and I’m a panthers fan. The fact they were last place in the league earlier in the season and came back to win it was amazing.

Good time to be a panthers fan
Hope your team does it here in the finals against Edmonton!
@@kylemoore7746 me too man, we’ve never won a cup. Hoping this is the year.
@@AnthonyD1986 congratulations!!! What an end to the series!
I love the fact that what would eventually be the game winner is on Marchand. Getting off the ice was more important than helping out on defense.

I’m a blues fan. Have been since I was born back in ‘02. St.Louis Native. To me June 12, 2019 will go down as one of the greatest days of my life. The day I got to see my guys hoist lord Stanley and to finally be happy for my dad who got to see the cup raised by a blue note. I’m still convinced that during this game Binner was taken over by an Angel of God. The saves the man was making. They were something you see in a movie. What a story and what a ride. Beyond blessed to have witnessed our journey of hoisting lord Stanley for the first time in franchise history. Forever and ever will bleed blue!
it’s been 3 years and it still brings me joy watching this! binnington was absolutely insane this game! it’s also awesome seeing bruin fans get quiet and start leaving in the 2nd period. LGB!
I still get a tingle down my spine every time I watch and there is 30 seconds to go.
What an experience as a fan.
Will watch this every year 💙💙
Binnington’s kick save when it was 2-0 is the greatest save in the history of the franchise. That puck goes in and who knows how the rest of the game plays out.
" Congratulations"
Craig Berube & St.Louis!!.
Loved watching Berube in Calgary when he played!!..
Just needed a pick me up today so decided to watch my favorite sports moment of all time
Today: St Louis (NHL)
Tomorrow: Toronto (NBA)
nope Golden State

Well we’re right on the money
@Cougars & Tigers lol
Roman Reigns that didn’t age well at all lol 😂
Oh my God i've been a die hard blues fan for years and i get chills every time i look at this video!!!!!
Marchand made one of the most boneheaded decisions in the history of the game, and I salute him for it.
As a Native Missourian, the Blues winning the Cup still seems unimaginable, but awesome at the same time. The Blues showed both Grit and Skill to Win. They united a whole state and they gave confidence to the St.Louos region after the Rams move. This Stanley Cup Win gives all of us hope that anything is possible no matter what. The Blues never gave up and neither should the city of St.Louis or The State of Missouri. Anything can happen and Anything is Possible. Go Blues!!!!
Came back tonight in hopes Boston would lose another game 7 to Florida. It worked! When Boston loses we all win!
Why hate a team so much? I don’t get it. Yea, Boston is known for being a dirty team with obnoxious fans, but you have to remember they’re trying to win just like everyone else and that shouldn’t make people hate them to such an extent
@@wills3210I started out hating the Red Sox, and then the Patriots, and then when the Blues looked like they could finally win a cup, the bruins were there for me to hate as well, though, not as much as the others, because this Blues team didn't waste their shot, and won when it mattered most
Not true though but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if most Cardinals fans support the Yankees and during the Red Sox Yankees rivalry despite 2000nd
Glad blues won. Last thing boston needed was another chip. They got the superbowl and world series. Those fans are spoiled af and don’t understand the grind like every other city. Thank you Blues for pulling this off.
@Cougars & Tigers The Patriots were complete failures including their 2002 cheat-to-win Super Bowl. Respect to old Red Sox fans though, they paid their price.

"STOPPED and held by Binnington!" The entire game in a nutshell. He played absolutely out of his skin. I'm happy for the Owl!
Man, the emotion that Doc gives at 6:42 is one of the reasons I'm glad he officiates the playoffs
Watching this again to fill the absence of hockey in this dire time… I truly hope this isn't the end for this season because I so wanted my Flyers to play y'all in the finals this year. For real, there's no team I want to play for the cup more than them… I beg for that dream to not die!!!
Jordan Binnington you are the "Benji Price" of Ice Hockey...impressive performance *HE* is the *main* reason why they won this game. After long years of not watching hockey, this is a pleasant surprise love when the underdog wins it all.
