Agree, and many parents try to protect their kids from too much hockey, to keep their love of it from burning out and becoming like a job for them. My 10-year-old plays a light AAA program in the off-season...plays football, soccer and baseball....and runs with his friends, biking around, climbing trees, etc. And his hockey skills are improving at a fun and fantastic pace. Each to their own strategies, I guess!
My parents pushed me to play hockey when i was 6 and forced me and my brother a lot to practice almost daily. we both dislike hockey because it was forced on us. I suffered from a concussion, hip, knee and shoulder injury in one season because i never had breaks. my brother messed up his knee really badly playing hockey aswell. I'm not trying to be rude but there are many other really good kids Soo just saying
So true
I've always said that the best hockey player in the world probably can't afford to play
Good kids who are MUCH better then Kaden
Agree, and many parents try to protect their kids from too much hockey, to keep their love of it from burning out and becoming like a job for them. My 10-year-old plays a light AAA program in the off-season...plays football, soccer and baseball....and runs with his friends, biking around, climbing trees, etc. And his hockey skills are improving at a fun and fantastic pace. Each to their own strategies, I guess!
@@georgew2432 That's probably true for a lot of sports. The greatest football player of all time probably never played football.
He wears a fishbowl so the nhl isn’t a possibility
Stop 🤣🤣🤣
You want him to get clipped in the face at his age?
Johnny Giertl it’s probably a requirement for his league he plays in fishbowl or a full cage
Literally all youth leagues require a full cage of some type
Probably has a wheel bag too
Legend has it he found Fortnite and never played hockey again
He actually really quited hockey wich makes this video 100 times even more funnier lmfao
I think that right now this kid may think he loves the sport but will soon dislike it because he grows up and becomes rebellious hes going to feel like its forced on him. I swear so many parents are living their dreams through their kids and its sad.
You want to know why he can do those hockey tricks BECAUSE HE HAS 10 POUNDS OF WAX
Keegan Julik I never use the wax but what does it do?
It’s makes the stick more have more grip so the luck stays on and he uses A LOT
@@keeganjulik6770 is their a rule against it? And if he took it off he still may be good, what is wrong with using something to get an advantage? If its not against the rules then who cares. Should we not have toe curves ? They do make it easier to shoot top shelf so anyone who uses it isnt good because they have technologic help. Technology is a huge part of sports and has always advanced with it.
Ian Bull so as a goalie can I put oil all over my pad so I can slide better?
@@gavinpye7040 if it is within the rules sure, why not? but i doubt that would be a huge advantage as control would most likely be alot harder. i actually was a goalie and sliding was never a huge issue especially on good ice, i always struggled with control. it takes alot more skill to slide with your upper body stationary and square to a moving puck.
There are millions of kids like this, a cross chain and they play hockey
Yeah. Heaven forbib you give one some support and say good job. That would kill you wouldn't it.
Dude hes 9 years old there is not millions of kids like this you moron
Anthony LaBarba He’s AVERAGE, not good. It’s about attention.
@@anthonylabarba310 when he says average, he means average for high level hockey for his age. AAA hockey in Canada at his age is still extremely competitive and if he played for one of those teams, he would be just another player, a long shot from being a superstar.
Anthony LaBarba you can’t do this and your older then him, and you call yourself average 😂
Bro has the best muffins 😂😂😂😂😂
All I hear is him chopping a salad
lolz
That stick handling ain’t gonna help in bantams I can assure you ghat
got that from experience
Gonna get absolutely bodied by kids 6’0
just absolutely rekt man.
Straight up there are division 4 kids that are better than this kid in Canada. Just another American kid getting pushed when he’s got nothing on Canadian it Russian kids the same age.
Sjamsucks you don’t have to crush our American dreams so hard 😢
He needs to skate a lot more, enough with the indoor stick handling.
If this is the next Sidney Crosby I’m Wayne Gretzky
🤣That made me laugh. But I feel for this kid because his parents put him in this video and now the kid has to read all these comments. Reality sets in and they play a Canadian team the same age and he will be at par. The difference is that in Canada, kids can literally take school at ice rinks, so they live it.
Kaden - love the dedication and desire to be better. You have loads of potential! Make sure you’re working on skating fundamentals just as much as everything else!
I've seen these types of vids like a billion times... THEY'RE THE EXACT SAME!!!!! Stick handling, shooting and bragging
Thinks he’s Connor McDavid. Too bad he is not a lefty.
DeweyThePug PlaysFortnite yup lol
DeweyThePug PlaysFortnite if he wants to think he’s mcdavid he should play nhl 20
Righty tighty, lefty loosey
Wait...McJesus is a southpaw?!
I’m a lefty
Basically his parents are investing in their retirement fund.
Indeed.
*lol, hey, my manager just talks about his kid's hockey all day long. Every Friday I ask him what's up for the weekend. He just fake groans about how he has to take his kid here and there for hockey practices and tryouts and out of town provincial games, etc. He's super proud of him though. His kid just got drafted into the WHL. We all joke he's going to retire once his kid makes it to the big league.*
AzNightmare what’s his name? Just curious, I love watching prospects, and I believe you, don’t take me wrong lol
I sure any kid if there parents had a lot of money they would be playing all day.
Talented kid for his age for sure. Just hope he has the size, strength, agility and most of all, toughness for pro hockey because pro hockey is one tough game, especially in the NHL.
He got a whole hockey rink for his 2nd birthday how spoiled can you get
Having parents willing to spend money and time on their child so they can be physically and mentally happy spoils them? Hmm, do you usually find that beating, berating and ignoring children helps them in the long run?
its a hockey rink with a personal trainer have you thought how much money it takes to actually build a rink and pay for a personal trainer everyday @@stupidas9466
I have read a lot of judgmental text's here and thats disappointing. Lets just wish him the best of luck. He's very fortunate to have 2 parents that wanna support him and his dream to get to the NHL. Keep up the great work Kaden and remember do your best while having fun... god bless
Nest Sidney Crosby ?
Him: *wears Connor mcdavid jersey *
Favorite hockey player: Wayne Gretzky
I love how in all these no days off they never show them going to school
Wow👏👏. As a life long hockey player(competed thru college) this young fella has some of the best stick skills I've ever seen...bravo.
All of these kids that i see that are “skilled” or “talented” always have constant ice time personal coaches and personal gyms if i had that to i can guarantee I would have been as good if not better then him when i was 9 to
Fact
100%
Pay to win lol
I kinda regret me not taking the opportunity to ask my parents for shooting and stickhandling sessions as a kid and welp here I am I still can’t shoot or stick Handle at age 13 my of my peers have pulled ahead I have one year make it back to a real AAA team and then my chances are done
However I don’t have a personal gym or ice rink or a free fitness trainer so this is kinda a problem
EXACTLY. The best NHL hockey players came from poor family's and only they had the motivation to keep going when times were tough
I don’t think Crosby had any type of special privileges like this
True he shot a foam ball against a washing machine
He had a special room just for him to shoot pucks...
Jon Snow that was his downstairs
Jon Snow a basement is not a special room
@@arxmie786 How so? The whole space was reserved only for his practice. The original comment said that Crosby didn't have the same privileges as this kid in the video, when in fact he had just as good (if not better, as you are able to practice in the basement also when it rains outside) facilities to practice his shots, dekes, etc.
Wait till he discovers weed.
Lmao

"Unbeknownst to me, I'm living vicariously through my child" - the dad
Another father giving life back to his former dream to b a nhl'er
Yea basically
so true
That’s cool, my nine-year-old is the next Wayne Gretzky. Just saying
I wish him luck...but don't let him play for the Oilers..lol!
@@DustinRobinGamingOilers probably won't have McDavid in 10 years
@@DustinRobinGaming we'll have to see I guess
Send us some videos and maybe we can feature him too!
Jay Boddy yea send in videos they say let’s actually see if he’s good
Wayne Gretzky was further ahead in hockey than anyone
His entire career was based on Social Distancing.
Parents literally bullied him because he was so much better than the people his age
@@alexj7440 I bet even Walter (Wayne's dad) was ostracized by the other parents in minor hockey when Wayne was playing.. anyone wanna wager he wasn't??
Orr was...
@@roadrunner2550 I just see rich family..
@@roadrunner2550 in Canada lots do.its nothing new to me....but good on the kids .....
I played in highlevel in sweden, and i always was outside playing icehockey on the lake or on the free ice rinks. No money needed but i understand that in texas there is no free ice, however we never did anything else than playing icehockey. Doing strength training and plyowork is just overkill..that will come natural
Not trying it be mean but there’s kids in house league in my town that are better
DoraIsDaddy he’s a horrible skater
SAVAGE!!!
DoraIsDaddy same for me
This kid could be playing atom b where I live and he still wouldn’t even be one of the best players
Hahha me to
If he lived were i live he would not make the team
100%
Wow everyone just so jealous of an 8 year old. He has more talent in his pinkie than most of you all have in your entire body.
@@458joey if you don’t play hockey then you wouldn’t know.. the kid is rich and has his own personal trainer… most people where I am are better than him
I’m pretty good at hockey but I’m not one who always just wants to be the best
I was literally like him a 7 but I gave up long time ago don't go to fast and never give up the success will come alone continue like that kid
Any young kid that spends 20 hours a day training since age 4: "is this the next Wayne Gretzky?!?!?!?"
9 years old skating? Bro I am older and I am so terrified of ice yo you are amazing God Bless you!
Don't mean to hate or anything, but you should see the way that kids in Canada play. I was 2 when i started skating. This kid is good, but that's cause his parents have money. Ice time runs over $200/hr where I live. Most kids just can't afford to train the way that he does and lots of them end up just as good. He stands out because he doesn't live in a hockey culture and looks incredible by comparison.
@@gsutherland9108 ? Ok.. I guess anyone who is rich can be good...
When I was 6 I was doing all of this lol

I’ve seen a nine year old skateboarder with better balance than him lmao
