    Best LP tone I’ve heard in a very long time. I’ve never had the right kind of chemistry with Gibson. There’s so much I don’t like about them, yet I still play as many as I can.

      I kinda agree but there is something magical about a les paul and a deluxe reverb with maybe an overdrive.
      It’s a killer combination and and blissful in the right hands

    Wow, super tasty tone! Hard to beat a Les Paul through a blackface Fender - and I spy that Tube Screamer back there! Of course everything sounds great in RJ’s hands.

    Btw didn't Gibson produce 600 something Les Paul Standards in '59? I must've seen at least 3000 being sold to date.

      @@qiricoI think so yeah. The deluxe Reverb has to be cranked in order for it to have that much overdrive. So i think the TS is giving it a little push.
      It’s a common trio people use and it sounds great. I use it and i can hear it from a mile away.

      I think depending on pups output you could achieve this level of overdrive quite easily, but not that much punch and percussion

    If I had to choose between the 59 "Miss Swiss" and the ability to play like RJ, I'd definitely choose the latter.

    You think Gibson could make this again. but. this 1959 has that magic and. beautiful tone that can't be replicated

      Mojo can't be replicated, no matter how good they get at relic'ing...it's pretty weird to see people treating 80s ESP and Jackson like holy grail guitars now, but perhaps they're gaining some mystique too with age and use by major artists

      @@jasondorsey711080s ESPs and Jacksons are great guitars, just different. I wouldn’t pay stupid money for one as their modern production guitars are just as great and cost less, but if they’re your thing, they’re not a bad investment.

    Great player! Every guitar sounds great in his hands. Once again shows how overvalued certain guitars are. There is no argument in the age of the woods though.

    In my opinion, there are are two guitars that rule the world, the others just fill in a few niche positions.. The Gibson Les Paul is #1. Had one years ago, that was stolen by a former friend. The other is Telecaster.

    What I like about this is you can buy a standard for $3k and it is this… what they are making today is as good as anything they’ve ever made. I get the price complaints, but as someone who builds guitars and amplifiers the cost of materials and labor is obviously high.

    RJ is a great player. I prefer when he played on P90 guitars. I have never understand what is great about these pick-ups. It's overrated if you ask me.
