I am super happy with the game. I bought mine at retail in 2022 so I didn't have any of the version update issues that you would experience I suppose. This game lead me to get Curse of the Moon 2, which I was upset when I realized it was an 8-bit version of Castlevania. After playing that game and beating it, I did find out about the Curse of the Moon original release, but by that time the game was selling for way more that I wanted to pay. I then learned about the Limited Run Games Castlevania Collection. This lead me to find out about a Physical release of Cuphead for the switch which is great as well. I kind of feel this should have been an expanded review, but I understand at the time you didn't want to give away very much in way of spoilers. I have now come to find so many, many, many shooters that the switch has. I missed out on Ikaruga and Radiant Silvergun pre-oreder, but hopefully I'll be able to pick a copy up at some point in the future at a reasonable price if I catch a good auction. He got it right about the PC version even tho he was being sarcastic. It is basically flawless, whereas every other version has had major patch bugs and serious performance issues.
9:44 THANK YOU! Glad to know I wasn't the only one that thought that. Literally the first thought to cross my mind when I entered the tower was, "damn this sounds like Ys' music." Absolutely loved the music, ESP the main, Glacial Cavern, Garden, Tower, & Oriental Lab themes. :)
It's Shitstained on Switch. Buy digital on that platform only if the patches work. Has game breaking bugs 4 to 5 hrs in.
Great wee review Joe (as we say in Scotland). Your opinion really matters on these sorts of games so really glad you did this one. Would be great to see more in the future too. Cheers
She can collect sharts? / ●w● \ naniiiiii!?
9:48 So glad we are on the same page Joe. Glad I'm not the only one who thought this.
Totally do more of these. LOVE GAME SACK!
Joe, please do more reviews! I among many others respect your opinion, it would be awesome to see your in depth reviews on stuff.
Great review. I would love to watch more of these.
I'm glad you're trying new stuff Joe! Keep up the good work!
Great episode, and a nice way to change things up a bit! I wouldn't mind seeing more of this
Very cool to see a successful kickstarter project. Thanks for sharing.
IGA knocked this one out of the park. It's a straight up rocker in all areas: visually, gameplay and soundwise - equal parts Symphony Of The Night, Aria Of Sorrow and Order Of Ecclesia. Glad you're enjoying this, Joe.
Loved your review Joe! Your sense of humour is great!
Yes, do this format again. I really enjoyed it!
Joe, this episode ruled. I would like to see more episodes focusing on one game each.
nice shovel knight appearance @ 11:30
Awesome review Joe! I’m about 22% of the castle explored and love it! While curse of the moon reminded me of Dracula’s curse, this one definitely reminds me of symphony of the night. I actually keep slipping and calling it symphony of the night. 😂
I'm unsure if it's a widely known bug - but I had a freeze on that exact same bookshelf on the PC version of the game (it totally locked up). But really good review and I'd agree with it!
Really enjoyed the review! If time allows it would be cool to see more!
Great video Joe! I like the CGR -esque button at the end... RIP CGR.
Had a glitch where all my stats were pretty much down to 1, and Miriam's ENTIRE FACE was missing. After the patch, it fixed it up. (Patch even fixed up a random popup from a piece of building geometry that nobody probably noticed. lol)
I am still getting some green treasure chests opened when I didn't open them, but luckily it wasn't any of the ones that the items I needed in. Blue chests seems to return on their own, which I think is a feature.
Thanks for the great review! Love your compile shirt. 😊👍
Excellent bit of an interval from normal GameSack :)
Good extra episode! Keep doing them!
This was a treat, excellent review Joe!
I actually really loved this in-depth look at a single game! Very cool to see a review like this! I'd love to see more!
What's better than waiting for sunday to come and bring Gamesack along? What about not knowing that you are waiting for someday to come and bring gamesck along, but still getting a new episode.
