I have been teaching a version of this at my previous school for MLA papers and they began hating how strict I was about introducing writing formulas because children complained about not wanting to follow an organized structure. That school is currently shut down. I work for a writing company that allows me to promote my formulas ;)
This showed me how important a good primary school is. I learned this exact "formula" in my 6th grade english class. I've received an A on almost every single essay in school with minimal effort. I always wondered why so many people struggled with writing, but now I realize it's because they weren't taught how to write.
It's not so simple. People don't always understand the question, or choose a good way to formulate a clear concise question. They also get lost in their explanations, don't choose best examples, don't have good knowledge and understanding of some key concepts they are talking about. So it's not just about having a good structure, and being good at writing
The struggle with those struggling people is due to the fact that they had been hiding from the professors when it is time for them to attend classes. Or some of them fall asleep after going to the late night hangouts with friends. I appreciate the effort the creator has put into this video. Wholeheartedly I do, but it is not still up to university standard even if this is somewhere at Oxford/Cambridge. On the spot, we know that he didn’t put any references and citations which is a sign of lacking academic integrity. Secondly, there is no linking sentence between paragraphs. Third, there is no vivid examples provided in support of his statement. And some people here be like ‘10 minutes has been worth more than 3 years at a university’. Guys, you have wasted your parents hard-earned money😅
This has helped simplify so much of essay writing and I've seen a big grade jump in my essays compared to my first year in university, thanks for making it so digestable !!
i always go back to this video whenever i feel stuck and unconfident with my essays. and it constantly reminds me that i am on the right track and i should go on in building it!
Introduction: Define - Define the key points in the question and use those key points to create an introduction. [Ex. 1:33] Outline - Mention what the essay will cover or what the argument will be to allow readers to know what they’ll expect [Ex. 3:07] Main Body: Select the best 3 key points to create 3 separate main body paragraphs on those 3 key points. First Sentence - use the first sentence of the paragraph to convey the key point [Ex. 4:29] Second sentence - provide important evidence that backs up your key point [Ex. 4:41] Third sentence - Critically analyze the piece of evidence such as talking about how good the study was that lead to the evidence, how valid and reliable it is, or what improvements could be made. Fourth sentence - relate back to the question [Ex. 5:21] 2 More ways to highlight evidence in a main body: Diagrams - Diagrams convey a lot of information very quickly which is easier for examiners to see rather than writing many details about how it works. [Ex. 5:55] Active Subheadings - A heading that’s a Alsentence that summarizes your whole paragraph, it tells the examiner what the paragraph is going to be about. [6:39] Conclusions: The conclusion summarizes the whole argument, bring it to a nice end, and lastly gives a verdict. [Ex. 7:12]

thankyou very much, I have always found essays challenging, usually for last 2 years ranging from 55-64 in uni essay grades, I have followed this structure in my recent essay and obtain 78. this really works, thank you very much.
I love this video!! I have only noticed one punctuation error. " Whilst feedforward provides a mechanism to predict future changes and respond to them in advance based on current sensory input. Feedforward mechanisms are sued for rapid movement, whilst negative feedback is used for slower, automatic movement." Just put a comma between imput and feedforward and you will be golden. I am not an expert writer at all, I just think it is always important to know where you put your punctuation just so the reader can understand the information better. ☺ I hope you are having a great day!!! Thank you for your content!!

Hello, I assist students with their essays and online classes. DM or reach me on my email: alexchege13@gmail.com
Concise, understandable and logical. A nice video that really does boil down the characteristics of a good essay, I feel inspired to get mine done now
Could you talk about the importance of original arguements in essays. I think that helps get higher marks but I would just like to know how to not get distracted from the question
Hey! Maybe check out the other video I have on scientific essays where I talk about using original points more 😊
He used the same structure of the essay for the video.... Genius

Thank you so much! Your videos are very helpful, concise and inspiring, even though I'm not a medical student:))
thankyou very much, I have always found essays challenging, usually for last 2 years ranging from 55-64 in uni essay grades, I have followed this structure in my recent essay and obtain 78. this really works, thank you very much.
Im writing an essay for my scholarship . Wish me luck ✌️
Best of luck! You got this!
I have a 2,000 word essay due in 3 days which i haven’t even looked at LOL. anyways I’ll use this video as guidance now thank you🙏🏾
Best of luck!
