This had to be filmed prior to July 2023 due to fact the Gun store, AMC and the Pretzel store were still open and they have left and only the Ice Cream shop was the only food vender still open in the food court when I last stopped in here in October 2023. Thanks for the video!

I use to go here all the time back in high school. Spencers amd gamestop was my go to stores. Blue dragon was nice too. The food was not bad. And back in the 90s the mall also had a arcade called Aladdin's Castle.

Sucks that this mall could not figure out a way to adapt. I used to visit this mall as part of my territory about 15 years ago. There’s a lot of nice simple homes for sale around here for low prices, but the poverty rate is high and the population has been declining for years.

I am suprised you went here, this is my favorite dead mall, I live about 40 minutes away from here in Erie, Pennsylvania and always visit this place.

As a fountain lover I am sad to see that they tend to disappear. In France, often, they just put flowers and bushs instead of the water. To me it's one sign of the occidental decline. Every superficial things are cancelled... Sad.

Great video! Ashtabula Towne Square is one of my favorite Dead malls! Every time I come back, there always seems to be some sort of change, whether it’s a store leaving, or just something happening around the mall. I do wish they kept this mall as the way it looked in the 90s. It still looks amazing inside though! I feel like this malls biggest problem that it has is its location. Sure it’s off of SR11, but I think if they put this mall closer to Geneva, right off of I90, it would’ve done a lot better.

I only had about 15 minutes to check out that movie store and I def want to return and spend a few hours digging through.

There was nothing around that area of Geneva (actually Harpersfield) in the 90s. When the mall went in. It would not have been more successful there.

Unfortunately, malls are a thing of the past thanks to Amazon and other online shops. Mentor and Millcreek Malls were a big part of my childhood! Sad!! 😪

There were celebrities at the opening. Alfonso Ribeiro, Undertaker, and Tim Allen, I wanna say. I think Arnold Schwarzenegger was supposed to but didn't, or he did, I can't remember. But I know for certain Alfonso and Undertaker were.
