    My first concern is how little tension it applies to the tile. With a tool based system you can apply greater levels of pressure where needed. As with a wind down system. Whereas this system seems to have compromises to allow hand use.
    Great video btw and well showcased.

    • @Mr.Hatchet_
      @Mr.Hatchet_ 2 года назад +4

      was about to say this.. probabely for small tiles not a huge problem but for big tiles with alot of tention it can probabely not really force te tiles in position.

      @@Mr.Hatchet_ Was thinking EXACTLY the same thing - small tiles good, big tiles not so much.

      I use RLS without a tool and can get plenty of tension without a tool. However, I agree with this system it limits the ability to make adjustments and get a really tight fit.

    Thanks for the demonstration but I don’t think they would do well with a large floormat tile you’ll have to put four clips in 4 feet just my opinion

  • @POLOLOUS3

    Idk about cheap, in bulk you can get double the Levtec spacers. Although they are cheaper than the nearly identical Tuscan clips.

  • @vitob5898

    So now I have to buy a whole new box of monster clips vs just the spacers after every job? Am I missing something here? Because I'm not seeing the logic here.

  • @michaelhartman851
    @michaelhartman851 2 года назад +1

    I kinda like the design of these but feel on large jobs they would actually be difficult to keep clamping because of hand fatigue, also they seem to be a bit more difficult to break out after.

    Mix up a batch an put down a 1/2" notch beside a 3/8" notch an see if there is still lippage

    He's got the test shirt!!! Yeeeaaa!! Will have to give these a try, I kinda like how they seem to use more of a downward push rather than the unwanted "lift to level" that seems to happen to a lot of beginners / DIY'ers I sell wedge kits to. (Even after explaining how to eliminate that issue most just don't get it, and should prob hire someone lol)

    can't see them being cheaper than clip and wedge, wedges last a long time, then just buying clips aren't too expensive, also i recon after a day of closing those clips especially on a thick tile my fingers would be sore

    Feel like this removes a lot of the versatility of the T-Lock style system By Perfect level master. There is little pressure applied and runs the possibility of letting go while adjusting tiles. Where as a clipped together systems allows for multiple clipped tiles to move as one.

    Great videos! Do you like the Monster Clips better than the Tuscan clips? Another question is we are installing a lot more of the 2'x4' tile. For the money, do you like the Montalit PS5 131PS over the RTC Razor Pro 52". Thank you for the great work

    • @HurstDesigns
      @HurstDesigns Год назад

      Just saw the previous comments about the Tuscan clips. Tuscan clips are faster to use than either Raimondi or Spin Doctor; we have used all 3 systems. If we run into a spot where we need extra pressure will throw in a Spin Doctor; of all 3 systems Spin Doctor is easiest and faster to get more pressure. With the number of jobs we run efficiency is really important; just our experience and system we have worked out and are comfortable with.
