I'll be honest. The way I talk makes me come across as timid, or anxious. This is mainly because of my general anxiety at all times. I'm an anxious person but it's not a fixed state. I'm sure as I try to be more focus and confident while talking I'll gradually get to a point where I'm more relaxed and less anxious.

Fascinating video, Let's stop taking relationship and family for granted. I have battled depression since my wife left me. I have tried all I can to make her see that I love her with everything I am made of but she has insisted on leaving. This has made me so empty, and I do not know what to do. I can barely function properly at work. I am frustrated and miserable. I really miss her.

Your pain resonates with me. Letting go of someone dear to your heart is an immense challenge. I found myself in a comparable situation when my 12-year-long relationship ended, and I struggled to accept it. Despite my efforts to reconcile, I eventually turned to a spiritual counsellor for guidance, which eventually led to a reunion. I'm now filled with joy

"Laconism is a brief or concise way of speaking or writing. It was one of the main characteristics of Spartan society , in the region of Laconia , from which the term derives. Laconic means brief, concise, of few words."
"...It is said that on one occasion Philip II of Macedonia threatened to invade his lands: "If I enter Laconia, I will raze and subdue Sparta", said the father of Alexander the Great. The Spartans' response went down in history as an example of laconism: "If..."

01:23 💬 Speak directly and confidently without filler words to command respect.
03:36 🚫 Drop phrases and cultural references that may come off as childish or immature in professional settings.
04:57 ⏳ Slow down your speech to appear more confident and assertive; take pauses to emphasize points.
06:03 👀 Maintain eye contact during conversations to convey confidence and authority.
07:11 🗣 Practice eliminating filler words like "ums" and "uhs" by pausing instead; record yourself speaking to identify areas for improvement.
08:21 🔊 Use changes in tone to keep listeners engaged during conversations; vary pitch and volume for emphasis and engagement.

Is interesting how language affects this. As a peruvian I need to keep the extra words. And no go for attention. Just in a manly way. Culture shock I guess . For peruvians the harder and shorter means the weakest . Be aware , we are main producers of certain drugs in the world and our experience is: big and bold= weak. Gus fring attitude= manly and strong. Mostly because in our culture everyone has a gun. That makes you small in the chain. Being calm makes everyone make silence
