I love how you can tell JC isn't reading anything and is speaking from his mind haha. Complete knowledge here. Thanks brother. I'm saving this video. Definitely will have to watch it again and write some notes.
@@ethangimbrone3027 Oh that fish in my pfp is a permit I shot while spearfishing. I did manage to get on a nice pompano though and it tasted great. Definitely going to fish for them a lot more.
Those rods are awesome its my go to setup and my wifes as well not to mention the green rods ive used for offshore fishing just bc your videos of sheepshead fishing. They are a blast here in destin!!! My favorite fishing youtube channel!!!!!
Hey JC enjoy your video’s, thanks for taking the time to share with us. 👍 Old timer here, usually come to your area in June and possibly August to fish for the Mangrove Snapper from shore.
When jigging from the bottom, are you pulling the jig through the water, or just popping it off the bottom? Such a comprehensive pomp lesson. Thank you so much!!
You pull (twitch) the jig through the water if it’s a windy day. Popping it off the bottom (rod’s tip up and twitch) on a calm day (less than 7mph wind speed)
Is now a good time to catch them, I’m in the process of learning and teaching myself a lot about fishing. I also live here so I’m just working on getting out there and seeing what works, haven’t had too much luck with anything lately but I got some of this pompano gear
Hello JC.. do you ever get a chance to fish in Tampa Bay specifically Madeira Beach and treasure Island of the Johns Pass Bridge? I would think it would be ideal for snook.
Thank you for your videos. I've been watching you for a couple years. I'm moving back to Florida in 8 days. I cannot wait to get back to fishing. It is my life. I love your videos because you're frugal like me. Do you get expensive reels with your $22 Walmart rods or are there good affordable reels?.
The reel I have on the white rod in this video is an Ozark Trail sealed reel from Walmart, maybe $50. I've had the Ozark Trail reel for about 1-1/2 years now and it's holding up great. I've caught a lot of fish with it. I use Penn Pursuits also, great reels and reasonably priced.
I work for a jig business on the east coast. Would love to send ya some pompano jigs and teasers. Just give me an address to get them to ya and all yours. Love the videos That pink and white jig you show in the beginning I guarantee came from us. Don't know of anyone else that uses offset hooks.
The weather has been very sketchy the past two weeks. The water is terribly dirty. Like today my radar app. just gave a warning for 70 MPH GUSTS, holy moly...All is well. I'll be releasing a banger Snook video soon.

Yes, I have fished all of those areas. Great fishing for sure.
I've recently retired so anytime you're in the area I'd love to meet up an fish some time. I've got plenty of time. @@RadReelingFishing

So no pompano on dauphin island since the water is dirty looking?
Can I use jigs in water 25-45’ deep?
I think the largest weight of this style jig is 1 oz.
Nice way to illustrate and deviate your location by showing the map of Johns pass... lol

Do you ever use loops for a teaser above the jig and teaser above them? main
Yes. ruclips.net/video/0h_gxMJb_ho/видео.htmlsi=uOh5SXue316CT97Q
Pompano!!! Must be season lol.
I think teasers play a huge role in pompano jiggin. Some teasers literally catch 100% more then others lol.
Are you ok JC? No video's in 13 days😮. Hopefully enjoying a well deserved youtube vacation

@RadReelingFishing looking forward to the snook video. Yes I heard from a friend fishing has been brutal(on the gulf coast) at times because of winds
