That's a new loop knot I can definitely add to my fishing. It's a lot simpler to tie. Thanks JC :)
Was surf fishing the other day down here in Melbourne and there was a guy named Charlie who was using that rig and the only one catching fish! We got to talking and I mentioned this video and he knew exactly who you were because he watches Rad Reeling also. He ended up giving me his rig because he was leaving and then I caught a few whiting and blues! Great informative video JC
Excellent video. Lots of useful tips. I'm happy to have discovered your channel.
Another great informative video JC. Thanks for the Salty Scales discount.
Yes sir jc the info I was looking for YOU THE MAN if you haven't subscribed you are missing out Jc is great help!!!!!!
Recently retired in SW Florida and you are now my go to teacher! Thanks JC! The tug is the drug!
Hey JC it's your fishing family over in west Palm....we love your content and tips...keep it up...
Great tutorial JC! Always look forward to them...you've been always crafty bringing new ideas on techniques. Never tried the 3rd tutorial...pretty cool on that upper teaser.
U are awesome.. I bought the Penn reels bcuz of u ,now imma go surf fishing with these jig setups
Good Vid JC .Very Informative. Glad to see toy at your old stomping grounds.
Great tutorial my friend 💪💪
thank you for this awesome video JC
Tons of info. Thanks JC
Pompano school is in session. Thanks you teacher.
Great vid jc keep them coming
Great video, thanks!
Great video👍🏼👍🏼
Great video!
Two in the front, two in the back. Got it!
I was about to give up on pompano until I watched this video. Thanks!
Fall and Spring are your best times for Pompano
The 3rd is best just use an extra teaser over the jig on bottom that what I do and works great with me .. great info like it by the way
Thanks for watching. Pompano are a blast to catch!
Great video I’ve never seen this rig. Where is the video for the loop knot??
Nice video JC
Could you please mention a good spot to buy the jigs
JC great information, I need to try fishing for pompanos. I buy my leader from Walmart. 👍
Thanks! Your video was clear and even a dummy like me can tied these jigs 😃😃😃
Great vid! Is it OK to just use 20lb line on an ultralight and not worry about a leader?
With JC's advice you can catch Pompano also.
Caught my first pompano the other day while mackerel fishing the jetty’s. Someone caught three pomp’s on golden gotcha plug. So they were feeding close to the surface .
I seen where it's recommended you face hooks in opposite direction when tieing teasers to jigs
I use a pliers when cinching down..a slip and it’s in your hands.
Thanks JC...that list video didn't show that.
I'll check into that...thanks
2 in the front, 2 in the back sounds like a party
I Rig For Flounder Like that #3 , Only I just use a weight and out a swimbait or curly tail grub on The Hook About 10 inches above the Weight on that loop , Works pretty good ,kinda like drop shotting in a way ,Flounder will..attack it No doubt
Hey JC im heading down to tampa this weekend and would like to show you my technique to quickly and cheaply make pomp teasers. Will you be around?
Just got to remember those knots! I think this will probably pick up red drum also?
Thanks for all your informative content. We don’t get many pomps where I am in NC. Would this jigging setup work for trout, reds and flounder in an inshore environment?
yes, I've caught all of those fish on the jig and teaser rig. ruclips.net/video/l_NZ6vUWxXE/видео.html
That's awesome thanks for the how-to. When does the pomp fishing cool off? Are they migratory like snook and tarpon?
Fall and spring migration in southwest Florida
Is there a season, or conditions that you wouldn’t use this method? I used pomp rigs and fish bites this February in Destin and caught some but thought adding this to the program might increase productivity while fighting the boredom of watching rod tips bend with the surf.
I think in your case it's worth a try. I've never fished with surf rods and live or dead bait for Pompano, people in SW Fl do though. I always catch them with the jig and teaser rig.
@@RadReelingFishing alright- I’ll give it a whirl! Thanks!
Love the video! what brand of jigs are you using?
I get them anywhere, no specific brand. For the 3/8 oz. Walmart is the best deal in town. I also order from Tackle Direct.
@@RadReelingFishing awesome, thanks!
Where you at in Europe 😂🎣🐟
do you only fish on sand bottom for Pomps? what about seagrass or non-sand?
They tend to cruise along the flats areas too during the winter.
Why use a jig instead of something like sandfleas on a pompano rig with fishbites? I surf fish south Florida, so maybe it's different up north?
I've never fished for Pompano with Sandfleas. Someday maybe I'll try them out. ruclips.net/video/XGEjWXkTzJQ/видео.htmlsi=LuY0Mku9jvg1gGxn
When you use a uni knot you have to cut and tie new jigs? Why not use a swivel clip?
I think you mean a loop knot. my personal opinion is snap swivels add an additional element that doesn't look natural. I very rarely use snap swivels. Sometimes I use a angler power clip, That's usually only when I'm night fishing.
👍👍👍❤️🏆❤️👍👍👍
Anybody ever tip these with fish bites?
Yes, shrimp too. I've also seen people put a dab of Pro-cure on them. amzn.to/3JnkjF8
@@RadReelingFishing Thanks JC! Keep em coming. I'm aiming to get some pompanos on banana jigs down here in Jupiter with the big loop / teaser rig in your video
