This is probably the best Western artist I've seen doing something close to Japanese style art. I wouldn't have known it's not a Japanese game if I didn't know who's behind the game
I really love the concept behind this game and love both the similarities and differences from Fire Emblem. I know this is a lot to ask, especially this early, but is there any chance for it to cost under $40? If so, I’m buying this the day it comes out!
I love this. Also I hope they include the "Danger Zone" from Fire Emblem. The Danger Zone basically shows your enemy's movement and attack range and it is SO helpful with strategies.
I'm not a big fan of the HD character art in contrast to the in-game pixel art which in my opinion causes inconsistency in the overall graphic style. Simple pixel art characters like in the FE GBA title would have been much more appealing to me personally.Octopath Traveler for example has a very simple and consistent art style and it's still epic. Regardless, I'm very excited for this incredible project and will definitely buy it when it's out.
The physical animation could use a little more work like the enemy could flinch after being hit would be sick..spell animation and effects would also take it up a notch.

The voice acting is both in and out of combat, but all within the actual gameplay, not the story

Those are some chunky sprites! The style of the artwork looks like geneology, but the fluidity of movement looks like GBA. Best of both worlds!
