Great Trailer! I thought the sapphic romance in DD1 had a lot of potential, I'm curious if their is any more in DD2 and if it's beyond one canon pairing?
We're still in the midst of writing all the bonds so I can't say definitively on this just yet - but there are far fewer pairings overall in DD2 as we scaled back the cast to deliver a higher quality main story, so it likely won't be a focus. We are leaving a lot of the bonds open ended in terms of romantic implications so that the player can decide for themselves whether they think something goes down with it or not. With a smaller cast and lower amount of pairings I think it works better this way.
There better be some more advanced tactical decisions with this game compared to the first. The original barely had anything beyond braindead body blocking and rock, paper, scissors style yawn inducing AI exploitation. It was a massive step backward even compared to the original FE games. Hopefully the creators will have improved from their first lackluster showing and finally learn from games that came out decades ago.
