    I am a vegan and there is only one high K2 food for vegans which is natto and I consume it daily. Natto is not a normal food for most westerners but it is excellent for health. It has more K2 than any other food and should be included in any video on the topic.
    I prefer to get K2 from food than from a supplement but better to get K2 by supplement than not at all. The other great thing about natto is it has the best form of K2 which is called MK-7 and it is the most bioavailable type.
    K2 is not a mineral as you said. It is a vitamin and it is created by bacteria (similar to how B-12 is formed by bacteria). Minerals are inorganic elements such as iron, calcium, or zinc. Vitamins are organic molecules. I am studying to be a registered dietician.
    Lastly, Westin A. Price did come up with his factor x and deserves credit for being on the correct path for K2’s role. That said, K2 was discovered in 1929 by Henrick Dam and Edward Doisy. They won the Nobel Prize in 1943 for this discovery.

    Thank you for this great info. I take a calcium combo which contains cal, K2, D3, some mag, & C. Seems to be helping the osteoporosis, along with annual Reclast infusions. Would be nice to get through the rest of my life in one piece.

      I take them separately because I don't believe that "one size fits all".

      @@tnt4648 My BP fell dramatically, something like 40mm in two months. The K2 removes the calcium from the arteries walls and puts it where it belongs.

    K2 has different types (MK-4, MK-7, etc.) . What are the complete list of K2 types. I am not sure but somewhere I read the MK-7 is highly bio available meaning its absorption is much higher than the rest. Please comment on this.

      Meat has MK 4 and because it's not synthesized the body absorbs it perfectly.

    Cooking with organic ghee is high in vitamins A D E K2, so no need to supplement with D either. Please sit on your hands it's very distracting.

      @@drstevenhulme Nothing but nothing PREVENTS cancer. Preventing cancer is a dream. You can get cancer from a cosmic ray and it will be no one's fault. Stop saying that it can be prevented. It can't. A person can live the cleanest most "cancer-resistant" lifestyle in the world and a cosmic ray can give you untreatable, malignant cancer. It's God's way of eliminating humans who have no use for Him any longer. The trick is not to exacerbate an already deadly situation. Don't smoke or drink or do drugs. Don't risk HIV. Don't drink tap water, only steam distilled water. Eat the finest foods available. Breath fresh air. Pray and meditate daily. That's it. After 40 get checked for colon cancer. Vote Republican.
