I want to see a video called “The Origins of Minecraft” where it’s just MatPat tying all these theories into a full story about why Minecraft is the way it is
Or the Golems are just Guardian spirits made from the minds of villagers and magic. They posses an Iron body Iron because it is strong and snow because it is abundant. It would explain how Steve can make one with only Iron and a pumpkin.
You know, I thought about something a while back. In the video where MatPat explained that the endermen were, at one point, humans, he said that if you look at one’s eyes with a pumpkin on your head, they won’t attack. Then he said that this might be because it reminds them of a simpler time. But I have a different idea. What if the reason why they don’t attack you is because the pumpkins you are wearing reminds them of the iron golems they had created with the ancestors of the villagers, which fills them with regret that they didn’t join the villagers. If they had, then they would have never had to travel to the nether, never tried to study the power over life and death, never created the wither, never had to flee to the end, and never would have become Endermen It’s amazing how much one small decision can make sometimes. For them, their one decision could have resulted in something very different, and whatever they built that the wither destroyed would have still been in the overworld
@@frecklecraft I think that blazes, unlike wither skeletons, were original denizens of the Nether. Same for ghasts and striders. Piglins and hoglins might be evolved forms of pigs that were brought to the Nether as a source of food, but when the builders died out, the pigs evolved in two different paths to better suit their environment. Magma cubes are probably evolved forms of slimes (I don't know, maybe they brought some to the Nether for a slime farm?). Actually, as I was typing this, I remembered that blazes spawn primarily in Nether fortresses, especially using blaze spawners, which were likely built by the ancient builders. Plus, blazes sound very robotic/metallic, especially when they get damaged. So perhaps blazes are like guardians, robots that were created by the builders to defend their structures. Ghasts and striders were probably originally from the Nether in the first place, though.
@@KingNedya yeah the sounds that blazes make when you hit them sound very robotic. They emit large smoke stacks like factories. They're probably similar in origin to the Iron Golems, just in the nether instead
@@luxoliss Yeah. And by guardians, I meant the mob, but guardian of the fortress works too. So blazes, ghasts, and iron golems were all built by the ancient builders as defenders.
@Autumn Dye Oh yeah, I forgot about the snow golems, thanks for reminding me. Actually, now that I think about it, perhaps that explains why enderman don't attack you if you look at them while wearing a carved pumpkin. Iron golems are crafted using carved pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns, but they're head doesn't actually look like that, whereas the snow golem does.
Perhaps these are the descendants of the rogue builders who experimented with Nether substances and brought mushroom contamination to the Overworld. They keep making tech and doing magic, capturing automatons for research.
Never said they didn't have hands (though as Minecraft characters it would be creepy to see them with _actual_ fingers) they specifically said _arms._ ;3
Two things I was missing here: 1.Illagers sometimes have captured Iron Golems at their outposts in cages. Never got around to releasing them to cause mayhem yet. Why would Illagers capture Golems instead of destroying them? 2. Steve is capable of constructing Iron Golems , too. And if Steve does that, the Golem never turns hostile, even if Steve hits it directly. It just takes the punishment. And let’s not get into the implication of Villagers summoning an infinite supply of Golems when scared by a zombie or Illager which no one ethical mind would ever exploit for endless iron resources…
The last one can be simply gameplay mechanics, but there's potential lore implications. Steve is capable of doing so since his ancestors were the ones who literally invented them, why wouldn't he be able to as well? Plus it could be simply a metallic construct being enchanted with minimal magic, that's why it doesn't drain EXP whenever you summon any of the golems.
I think the illagers are just extremely bad with technology. They have fake replicas of end portals, fake map rooms, and other ritualistic structures that show that they’re trying to emulate technology, and aren’t advanced enough to replicate it, but Iron Golems are living breathing machines that have a purpose, so I’d guess they studied those to actually try and create something new (the ravagers)
@@theirishman8579 actually, scott had all of the lore planned before the game, this might have happened to some old games like fnaf 3, but know, scott is creating games with the lore planned before hand
I think that maybe the villagers didn't build them, but maybe helped the ancient builders gather materials and the builders made the Golums look like them so they could appear friendly. 🤔🤔🤔 I think that yes, the builders had pride, but personally...... in short, I prefer the explanation given in the endermen and wither vids.😊😊😊 MatPat explains in the Enderman video that it's as if the Player and Villagers are almost.... "a different species". 😄😄 But anyway.
MATPAT! Here's a crazy theory for ya on the origins of skeletons. Your zombie disease video makes sense, but doesn't explain the skeletons. No disease is going to keep a pile of bones floating around. You'd need magic to do that. Here's a quote from the Mobestiary, " Some have proposed that skeletons are ancient adventurers raised from death by an evil sorcerer." In the game Minecraft Dungeons there is a group of ancient necromancers who live in a desert temple. They have blue glowing eyes (the color of souls) and when they summon skeletons, you can see small blue souls float away from the summoning area. They even shoot soul fire blasts! But why are they themselves undead? Maybe because when they (or some other humans) summoned the wither, they noticed that it doesn't attack undead things, and they turned themselves undead to protect themselves. I hope you read this!
Or, here's my theory, during the rampage of the Wither, due to its wierd nether properties, since it's made from Wither Skeletons and Soul Sand, anyone hit with the decay of the Wither turns into a skeleton, since there isn't soul sand in the overworld, the souls would stay in the bodies, hence why they don't turn into Wither Skeletons.
@@kharanraj6546 I initially thought that the Wither was the cause for the existence of both Zombies and Skeletons, but this makes more sense. As this is the Overworld and not the Nether, the Withered effect doesn't hit the decaying skeleton.

Man, castle in the sky is a beautiful peace of art, it really got some emotions out of me 🥺, also side note I've been wondering why are the Iron golems eyes derped out? I feel like they would be more menacing if they were looking forward rather than looking both left and right at once😂
I just realized something Guardian - Security of the sea Blaze - Security of the fortress Shulkers - Security of the end city Edit: Matpat plz approve or smthin
The Blazes seem more like farms rather than fortress defense to be honest, almost as if they're held there like they're livestock. No wonder they hate us players so much
@@theshermantanker7043 I don't think you've actually seen a Nether Fortress before. Those Blaze spawners are completely out in the open (unless they get buried due to procedural generation) where they can fly off, and not only that, but they look _very_ artificial compared to anything else you can find in the nether.
My theory is that villagers do have arms and did construct the golems themselves, and they conceal their arms because of a law or a religious reason however are only allowed to reveal their arms when they are building. Pillagers are outcasted villagers, I'm pretty sure, and therefore they don't have to follow the rules of the villagers, and thus they can reveal their arms.
Quite makes sense, see how the only kind of villager that shows the skin of their hand are wandering traders, out from the villages so they didn't need to follow much laws
I'm thinking some form of religious or moral reason as well, since they can make weapons (it's not like they just 'poof' weapons into existence, they do make them, just when we're not around). They have weaponsmiths and armorsmiths, after all, so they're able to produce items for war yet don't use them. Maybe it is just a tradition in honor of the ancient ones who could create and enchant items (explains why some stuff they make is enchanted), yet they could still be used by someone if needed. Even in this world we have crafters who create swords and armor for such reasons; like a tradition.
Last time there was a society of builders, they all disappeared. So I'm sure them being banned from openly constructing whatever they want isn't too farfetched.
How do you know that’s their religion if they even have one? Did you just compare their outfits similar to those in Afghanistan and assumed they would have the same beliefs as them? Also theirs more proof against the idea that villagers build golems.
I'm loving these minecraft theories everyone is just such a satisfying answer to all the questions in minecraft I love them keep doing what you're doing
Reminded me of my english teacher she wanted a 4 page report as to why the bloody curtains were blue in a poem and got mad cuz i put down that theyre fav color was blue lol
When you come across pillager outposts, you can find iron golems that are trapped. What if, after being outcast, the pillagers are trying to reverse engineer the iron golems to do their bidding and make more?
One thing that I'm confused about is blacksmiths: they build weapons, but the only one who can use those weapons is the player. It is likely just a game mechanic but it really does throw a wrench in the lore.
I mean it could be an hobby for the villagers, but once they realise that there are people (player) willing to buy those, they sell them, like I don't think they have completely forgotten everything since they can still build and craft things, they are just not interested to do that and have enforced some form of culture of pacifism and so kick out anyone who goes against that (eg- illagers).
I feel what Mat meant is that Villagers have forgotten advanced crafting like building golems but still know everyday things like hoes, swords, books, etc because they are often a necessity.
I kinda just assumed they can use them, but don’t, since Illigers and Pilligers can use weapons, and Evokers can alternate between the sleeves together and arms in the air. They also seem to use simple tools like axes, pickaxes, and hoes on a semi-regular basis, considering that they have farmland, and houses with stone used for construction. Also, why would you take up using a sword when you have an Iron Protector that never sleeps, and keeps you safe? As soon as the player shows up though, they have a reason for making swords again, which is why you initially can’t buy them from a blacksmith most of the time. You can buy an axe, or some supplies, but swords aren’t unlocked until further transactions. Edit: I wrote this before I watched through the video, and I must say, I’m kinda proud
Also when enchanting Lapis is needed which could mean lapis helps power the items you’re enchanting. Which is kinda like the blue crystal in the Castle movie.
I kinda feel like the Minecraft team themselves doesn’t actually care about the backstory and we may never get it, but I like this story and it’s my head-canon so thanks for sharing.
I would say they keep/kept it vague, not much connected. It sure started without one, but do we know if along the way they hadnt created official one and started working towards it?
Daniel Wordsworth I agree, but that’s what I mean. I think it will always be vague and that the actual all points connected will always be “just a theory” 😜
A question I had was that the Iron Golems still attack Endermen which are just the builders, but this makes sense in the context of Minecraft's lore. Endermen are a farcry from the builders and the Iron Golems are unable to correctly identify them.
Since so long, again a miencraft theory -and it's that bad?! Wow, I am dissa-point-ed. This Channel needs to update it's existing Theorys anyways. And i'm not talking about 'more', like Beds exploding in the Nether, no, i dont even mean that.
Theory makes no sense. As i pointed out before, the villagers are also lifeforms. The Wither would not spare them - why would he? No matter if they descend from the Builder Race or not, the whole Wither-Calamity-Event makes no sense whatsoever. Cause apparently all Villagers and Animals survived. And what Steve is, is a whole other question unsolved. And that's not even all. This Theory is debunked by simple logic as it comes out.
Two words: Mossy stone. (by that I mean, that kind of stuff would indicate an old stone, but can quickly be done by crafting. Villagers could have added vines on the golem just for _a e s t e t i c s_ )
@Dinoboy Skittles Fanciness? The Mobestiary already tells us the face of the golem is due to a conscious choice by the villagers, soo basically the same level of "practiality"
I think my favorite game theories are the ones about Minecraft. He always seems to connect it to the coolest things. From castle in the sky to the cults created by lonely Islanders. Even his creeper episode in which he connected creepers to an actual exploding plant is amazing!
I wouldn't say that it would be 100% exactly the events but the concept of world around with basically it all being player(but with only one life) existing

Going to write this out one more time: Ever wonder why it is that zombie villagers exist? Also, ever wonder why throwing a weakness potion at one and then feeding it a golden apple converts it into a normal villager? What does that mean for regular zombies? That couldn't work on them too, right? But what if, and stay with me here, it did and you as the player are living proof? Notice how every regular zombie wears the same shirt and pants as default skin Steve? does. What happened there, you ask? Well, even though villagers can't fight, they can still create potions and do blacksmithing. So one night an alchemist and a blacksmith cornered a zombie, the alchemist threw the weakness potion and the blacksmith fed the zombie the golden apple and then ran away before anything could happen. As luck would have it, the sun was just about to rise; and when it did the zombie got converted into you, the player. If you were still an unconverted zombie, the sun's rays would have made you burn up and die from the damage. Multiplayer servers prove the process is repeatable and dependable, but only in limited quantities. BUT HEY, THAT'S JUST A THEORY; A GAME THEORY!!! THANKS FOR READING!!!
Zombie Villagers look a little different from the regular Zombies. Like, they have some spark of intelligence and life in them, while regular Zombies do not. (look at the eyes) Nonetheless, it was a nice read, thanks.
@Corona Virus Good question. Remember how I said near the end about how it's repeatable and dependable but only in limited quantities? That's because, depending on if you're playing a single player game or a multiplayer server, the effectiveness of said weakness potion and golden apple combo on a regular zombie varies from either one in a sextillion (single player) or one in a million (multiplayer). But hey, that's just a theory addendum; a game theory addendum. Thanks for reading.
I like how this theory adds more to the theory of the illagers. They could be a culy striving to be like the ancient builders, the split group from their ancestry. Their obsession has led them to turn on their brothers and use them for their experiments. They were able to figure out some of the things like the totems but couldn’t figure out traveling dimensions
1 proof that the Golems are really old: look at their skin. When they got first build, the skin was Smooth. But rn the skin of the Golem is "rusty" and with Moss on it
Well if you can see the wepen Smith sells you wepens so there is no reason to fight with the wepens they had like matpat said so they would have to sell the wepens!boom thats a theory A GAME THEORY

They barter and Trades. You wonder why there is Food and Weapon in nether Fortress or buildings
My guess is that while MatPat went too far saying they absolutely cannot craft or build at all, he's only half wrong, because while they can still build and craft, it would be ridiculously difficult for them since their arms are different from ours
@@theshermantanker7043 I think i'ts more accurate to say that they don't know how to fight, or aren't strong enough. Clearly they are capable because witches, evokers, and vindicators are as far as I can tell, all the same species.
It's possible that they are by tradition pacifists but make weapons as a form of art-style or hobby rather than a desire to fight. Look at our civilization: we still make swords and such, but most of the people that still know how to make them Ye Olden Way do it as a hobby or just to make money. Most of them probably don't know how to actually use a battle axe or a combat scythe.
Yeah the villagers, pillagers, illagers, are all the same race of people, and they can build, the mansions are obviously built by them and so are the outposts, villagers have trades like blacksmiths, who have to be able to craft to make there wears
maybe when they got to the end, they got attacked by the ender dragon (which is the last of its race as far as we know). and it told them it would spare their lives if they made it immortal. and the builders made magic crystals on high obsidian pillars that no one could reach that would keep the ender dragon alive until they were destroyed. but the dragon didn't let them leave and kept them there as servants/spies in the over-world. they built many city and survived on the fruits of the end until, generation by generation, they changed. and (just throwing it out) maybe steve grew up in the end and found a way to go to the overworld. the pillagers saw him get out, and tried to recreate steve and the tings he made while not understanding what they did. (maybe making accidentally making herobrine, a steve clone, in the process).
That may have been the master builders attempt to escape the end. They may have attempted to summon a portal to bring them back to the overworld, but instead suffered the same tradgedy that happened with the wither and just ended up summoning the ended dragon;sealing their fate to stay in the end
Actually I was just gonna touch on this. Digging around with NBTExplorer. It shows that my fresh Minecraft world has seen the Ender Dragon 1 time. And has killed the Ender Dragon 1 time. So clearly I’ve been there before. As what happens when you beat the game? It sends you back to your spawnpoint.
If the Iron golems are ancient automatons, built to protect society, and awoken to defend the villagers, it would make sense that they are mossy from years and years of inactivity.
I wonder why Game Theory has yet to talk about the fact that ghasts don’t actually belong in the nether, and in fact come from the over world. You’re even supposed to “Free them” I’d look into it more.
@Raihan Iftekhar yeah, on the surface, but in one of the Minecraft guidebooks they're mechanical on the inside. Pretty cool when you think about it lol
Imagine this: The Ghasts and Iron Golems are actually from a literal castle in the sky- a moving, airborne biome (perhaps eventually seen in later game updates), built out of the technology of the ancient builders. That's why we don't see the Iron Golems lying around underground for villages to pop up and awaken them- they are literally dropped from the sky when the ancient technology detects a village with enough villagers to warrant protection (much like is seen in the referenced movie Castle in the Sky). The Ghasts that were native to the overworld originally were sky mobs that lived peacefully with the ancient builders (or more likely, they were created/modified by the builders considering the circuit boards and cannons seen in the Mobestiary) . That's why the achievement to take one to its "home" in the overworld and then killing it is labeled "uneasy alliance"- the concept of the alliance being that between builders and Ghasts (until Steve guts him for those sweet sweet tears- maybe the overworld Ghasts actually produced their magic tears while still alive, making them useful to the ancient builders, who decided they'd be way cooler with CANNONS). But when the builders started exploring the Nether they took Ghasts with them for protection... they just never brought them home. Is this all just because I want more Castle in the Sky references in everything and love the concept of seeing a sky biome someday? ...yes. yes it probably is. >_>
How has no one offered MatPat a job as a writer? He legit takes these half-stories from all these games and is like, okay, let's sort out this mess of a plot and give it some context, flesh out the history, tie up the holes, and there you go. Lore.
I like this theory involving the split between the villagers and the builders, and it might explain the rise of the Illagers as well. At some point after the ancient builders disappeared, some villagers not content with their daily routine would probably have sought out something new and ended up discovering something about their ancestry, which would eventually lead to their banishment of the villagers wanted to avoid the same mistakes made by their ancestors. That would also explain the Illager's cargo culting.
I wanna expand on that theory a while back about Vexes... What if the reason Vexes attack you is that they're being controlled by Null, one of the various Minecraft Creepypastas! They don't seem to be controlled by Herobrine, cause he doesn't seem to smile a lot. Null, however, does...

What if villagers when they chose the simple life they started developing a religion based around no longer building and so they keep their hands hidden
Here’s something y’all might not have thought of involving the rooms in the Woodland Mansion: Each room in the Mansion is based off of an update in Minecraft. The map room: exploration update. The arena room: combat update. The room with a cat statue: Cats and Pandas. The room with the illager statue: Village and Pillage. Etc. So ya think about that for a minute. And some rooms might be showing future updates.
I wanna throw in some RUclipsr lore here as well. Do you guys know Dr Trayaurs? I probably messed up that spelling but if that name doesn't ring a bell let me explain. Dr Trayaurs was a villager friend of a very popular RUclipsr DanTDM, he was "written" as a scientist but his variant was a librarian. He, like I said, was a scientist, a creator, he went against what the villagers believed in, being happy with what the builders left and no need for more creations. Dr Tray (which is now what I'm calling him) saw that fact and left. He met Dan and started living with him. He never (from my understanding) went back to his village because he was ashamed. Ashamed of leaving, ashamed of betraying them. He stays with Dan till this day and enjoys the freedom of being able to create whatever he desires. I don't think any of this is confirmed but it still seems enjoyable to me.
"Castle in the Sky" is a wonderful, epic movie. Props for Mojang for referencing it. Yeah. BUT they never build upon these, didnt they?. Even though the 'Robots' in the Movie have a deep, deep history and are very plot-relevant, the Minecraft-Golems are sooo plain... so plain...

Mini theory: why does soul sand under water create an upward push when it should be that the souls are pulling you down? Corollary: why do magma blocks under water create a downward pull when it should be that they're warming the water, causing it to rise?
Water is a purifying force, when the solsand is place under water it begins to release those souls at a rapid rate, no longer being pound to the soil they fly up and out creating boyancy and bubbles Magmablocks being a hellish lava infested netherrack boils and absorbs water causing vortexes (If you listen to the new sounds of Netherrack in game it sounds fleshy thus it would need sustanence)
The magma block just releases hot steam, it makes bubbles that evaporate quickly and don’t leave time in order to actually push something. The soul sand however, releases screams. Tormented souls now forced to drown for eternity as each last breath is pushed out of them, a much stronger force than just normal bubbles.

so I have some connections i noticed. So we believe that the villagers and ancient builders were the same once, but to go deeper, we also know that the iron golems can be created by putting 4 iron blocks in a T position and putting a pumpkin on top. And we also know that if we wear a pumpkin on our head endermen won't attack us. Which starts to prove that the endermen might be these builders. And the fact that the endermen don't attack villagers just make it even more clear. which i believe makes it all the more clear that mat is correct
1 detail that supports mats theory, you can see that greens have grown on them (Not sure if it's moss or something,) but point is that means they have been standing still, for a long time. Meaning that they were probably just sitting there, ready to be activated just as mat suggested.

Matpat: The wither was stronger than even the Iron Golems Actually, if this theory holds any amount of water, the Golems would actually be enough to take the Wither. 100 of those things would wreck the Wither. If "Legions" of the golems were built, the Wither would be demolished by all of them
Is that true? Cause I doubt the Wither which can fly and literally bomb entire cities from the sky would lose to a simple golem who can only attack on the ground. It's kinda pointless to have an army of surface fighters when the enemy is not on the damn ground.
@@AlexPastGreyI don't really think so though, the Wither has so many things going for them. It can fly, destroy blocks, cause literal decay to any living being through the wither effect. The Iron Golem only is really strong in melee range and have relatively high health. Trapping them in a cave is not really viable when it can easily break out and fly out of range.
@@AlexPastGrey The Wither could quite literally withered away, since it's existence relies on the magic the soul sand initially provided. Since the actual game takes like centuries if not millennia after the so called story of the game, the wither could've run out of power and collapsed and decayed itself.
As a memorial maybe I dunno Or maybe they can still build, like there’s one person or two per village, they just don’t hold it in as high regard. Main part of the theory still stands. Also, maybe they use it as like a sign to say who does what.
those crafting tables were there before they lost their ability to craft and build but they never got rid of those crafting tables so theyre just there lol
Following this logic, it makes sense that the endermen don’t attack you with a pumpkin on your head. You would appear, to them, like the golems they built to defend themselves.
I think Iron Golem ignored Creeper cuz creeper is neutral mob not hostile. Creeper only become hostile when it close to a player and doesn't explode to other mobs, so yeah
Mojang: the villagers are dying quickly let’s just add this iron thing to protect them Game Theory: oh man oh jeez oh wow this is some serious lore shiz
theory: the new warden mob is a descendent to the iron golem, being trapped so long deep underground their vision shut down being no longer needed, with the fungus skulk block attaching themselves to the now blind and trapped iron golems. soon entwining themselves into the iron golem as a defense mechanism if anything fell down and damaged the fungus.
Wait what if the warden is how an iron golom is made their is iron in caves so maybe the iron coming in and the villager have found the and took a pumpkin so they somehow made one ink i just type what am thinking
That doesn't really touch on why they have almost same -if not the same- color palette as certain end blocks though... Maybe wardens or sculk in general has something to do with the "ancient end" that uses the old color palette, maybe the old endermen that has green eyes can add up to this.

What if the reason why they don’t attack you is because the pumpkins you are wearing reminds them of the iron golems they had created with the ancestors of the villagers, which fills them with regret that they didn’t join the villagers. If they had, then they would have never had to travel to the nether, never tried to study the power over life and death, never created the wither, never had to flee to the end, and never would have become Endermen
It’s amazing how much one small decision can make sometimes. For them, their one decision could have resulted in something very different, and whatever they built that the wither destroyed would have still been in the overworld

The Minecraft novel "The End" explains it all.
coming soon: the lost history of minecraft's Blazes and Snow Golems
A blaze theory would actually be super cool.
This kinda makes sense when you consider the Illagers. Trying to keep building, creating life, instead of trading, so they got kicked out.
History repeats itself
But you never really see the illagers actually build anything though
James Lipscomb maybe the pilliger outposts? We don’t know if they built them but it’s a small guess
Perhaps these are the descendants of the rogue builders who experimented with Nether substances and brought mushroom contamination to the Overworld. They keep making tech and doing magic, capturing automatons for research.

Two things I was missing here:
1.Illagers sometimes have captured Iron Golems at their outposts in cages.

@@Bleepbleepblorbus Ah right sorry, I'm used to many games calling it EXP.
As for number 1, maybe the Illagers want to reprogram the iron golems?
I think the illagers are just extremely bad with technology. They have fake replicas of end portals, fake map rooms, and other ritualistic structures that show that they’re trying to emulate technology, and aren’t advanced enough to replicate it, but Iron Golems are living breathing machines that have a purpose, so I’d guess they studied those to actually try and create something new (the ravagers)

I think that maybe the villagers didn't build them, but maybe helped the ancient builders gather materials and the builders made the Golums look like them so they could appear friendly. 🤔🤔🤔
I think that yes, the builders had pride, but personally...... in short, I prefer the explanation given in the endermen and wither vids.😊😊😊
MatPat explains in the Enderman video that it's as if the Player and Villagers are almost....
That makes a lot of sense
@@thepredatorita3945 thanks
This theory also makes sense considering that in the 1.16 update, skeletons spawn in soul sand valleys, connecting the 2 even further.

Interesting stuff, I’m too dumb to come up with a theory myself. :)

Moral of the story: if a person is offering you is giving you bad trades, don't punch them, specially in front of the cops.

Yeah the villagers, pillagers, illagers, are all the same race of people, and they can build, the mansions are obviously built by them and so are the outposts, villagers have trades like blacksmiths, who have to be able to craft to make there wears
Do a theory on the End dimension pillars, the obsidian ones. They're clearly man (?) made, and even the magic parts are craftable.
OMG......
ruclips.net/video/FSSFgWlDbJU/видео.html
They were probably made by the endermen
maybe when they got to the end, they got attacked by the ender dragon (which is the last of its race as far as we know). and it told them it would spare their lives if they made it immortal. and the builders made magic crystals on high obsidian pillars that no one could reach that would keep the ender dragon alive until they were destroyed. but the dragon didn't let them leave and kept them there as servants/spies in the over-world. they built many city and survived on the fruits of the end until, generation by generation, they changed. and (just throwing it out) maybe steve grew up in the end and found a way to go to the overworld. the pillagers saw him get out, and tried to recreate steve and the tings he made while not understanding what they did.
Honestly, the robot guys in castle in the sky were so cool and wholesome. I loved them sm
If the Iron golems are ancient automatons, built to protect society, and awoken to defend the villagers, it would make sense that they are mossy from years and years of inactivity.
yessss
Thinking the same thing
So I methodically killed hundreds of benevolent ancient machines to get a little bit of iron.
I'm pretty sure the moss covering them is just another nod to the robot in Castle in the Sky, considering it was also mossy
But when you make one yourself from scratch they are also mossy, despite just being freshly made
I wonder why Game Theory has yet to talk about the fact that ghasts don’t actually belong in the nether, and in fact come from the over world.
You’re even supposed to “Free them”
I’d look into it more.
True

This would explain why crafting tables are only in libraries, they're ancient artifacts put in a museum...
"Castle in the Sky" is a wonderful, epic movie.

Mini theory: why does soul sand under water create an upward push when it should be that the souls are pulling you down?
Corollary: why do magma blocks under water create a downward pull when it should be that they're warming the water, causing it to rise?
Maybe the souls underwater died from drowning and are releasing their breath for eternity similar to how they die
Water is a purifying force, when the solsand is place under water it begins to release those souls at a rapid rate, no longer being pound to the soil they fly up and out creating boyancy and bubbles

According to the achievement "uneasy alliance", Canonically ghasts are native to the overworld. This might make sense why they are always suffering, because they are trapped in the nether somehow.

Aside from farming but they just kinda stare at the ground and "poof", new plant
so I have some connections i noticed.

Matpat: The wither was stronger than even the Iron Golems
Actually, if this theory holds any amount of water, the Golems would actually be enough to take the Wither.
@@Jgamer-jk1bp If they can force the wither into something like a deep, deep cavern, the golems would win out
@@AlexPastGreyI don't really think so though, the Wither has so many things going for them. It can fly, destroy blocks, cause literal decay to any living being through the wither effect. The Iron Golem only is really strong in melee range and have relatively high health. Trapping them in a cave is not really viable when it can easily break out and fly out of range.
@@Jgamer-jk1bp That's fair enough, but if that's the case, how are the golems still around?
Hell, where's the original wither?
@@AlexPastGrey The Wither could quite literally withered away, since it's existence relies on the magic the soul sand initially provided. Since the actual game takes like centuries if not millennia after the so called story of the game, the wither could've run out of power and collapsed and decayed itself.
Hold up.....
Villagers have crafting tables in one of their house
Right?...
Yeah I think he messed up
And blacksmiths, who make stuff and have furnaces
As a memorial maybe I dunno
Or maybe they can still build, like there’s one person or two per village, they just don’t hold it in as high regard. Main part of the theory still stands.
Also, maybe they use it as like a sign to say who does what.
those crafting tables were there before they lost their ability to craft and build but they never got rid of those crafting tables so theyre just there lol
it the libraries that have it right
