You gotta watch the movie! The music is incomparable. The band was all the true blues greats in 1979.
Possibly the greatest soundtrack ever.
the Blues Brothers, the greatest musical ever. Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Scatman Crothers, and so many more.
Totally agree!!!
No Scatman Crothers
You forget the King of the Blues, John Lee Hooker!
Don't forget Cab Calloway
... Henry Gibson, John Candy, the Saturday Night Live backing band, Chaka Khan, Steve Lawrence, Twiggy (stood-up date), Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Hermann), Joe Walsh, Frank Oz and Carrie Fisher as the snubbed girlfriend. However, I believe you mentioned Scatman Crothers, but you MEANT Cab Calloway.
I snuck into the theater with my buddies to see "The Blues Brothers" movie when I was 13. It changed my life -- at least it broadened my tastes in music. Featuring performances from Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, James Brown, John Lee Hooker, and Aretha Franklin, with legendary Stax musicians Steve Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn backing them up throughout. "Shake a Tail Feather" was a top forty hit for James & Bobby Purify in 1967. Ray Charles is a legend - "Georgia On My Mind", "Hit the Road Jack", "Drown In My Own Tears", "Unchain My Heart", "What'd I Say", "I Can't Stop Loving You" ...
Ray Charles..what a voice, what a song writer..this man had so much soul ..a Legend larger than life..some beautiful songs..go down his rabbit hole..he has some soul reaching songs..he is blues and soul all the way
Hey Dee how are you?
@@LanceG24 I'm good Lance, how are you? And thank you for asking ❤️
@@deewelch6013 I'm great
@@LanceG24 great to hear❤️
Wait until you see Aretha Franklin scolding Matt "Guitar" Murphy with "Respect". It's awesome. Great musical and film choice with this one.
its great
That sequel performance was great, but the "Think" scene is from the original

What Demario said. 👍
'The Blues Brothers' is a movie you might consider doing a reaction to, if you ever get in that kind of mood. Lots of humor, stunts, and great music.
You bet that its Ray Charles!
I Love this film!
The Blues Brothers is one of my all time favourite films
The Blues Brothers movie is fun fun fun. Lots of great classic rock music.
Aretha Franklin is in the film to♥️♥️♥️
The first blues brothers movie was awesome. So many great perfromers still around at that point. A great example of musical history as well as a very funny movie.
The Blues Brothers (1980) is chock full of musical giants! The stand out is James Brown (as a Reverend) leading his church in "That Old Landmark" with Chaka Khan in the choir! Aretha Franklin also shows up singing "Think" in a Soul food restaurant. You can watch those clips without spoiling the movie.
Was Chaka Khan in the choir in the first film? I thought they only were in Blues Brothers 2000.
@@lavrentivs9891 Yes. She's briefly seen vocalizing toward the end of the number.
THE BLUES BROTHERS will Blow your Mind! IN ADDITION to the Greatest R and B LEGENDS doing Cameo's and Singing, The Band Itself has the Top Performers of it's time Playing... Including Donald "Duck" Dunne and Matt "Guitar" Murphy!
I Know doing Movie Reviews isn't your Thing, But IF YOU COULD for just this One Movie, it would Rock our World!
The Blues Brothers. Packed with stars!!!
I have commented before, I truly enjoy your authentic reactions. They are reflection of your outlook on life. And I am a fan of your ever changing hairstyles, make up and hair. You are a goddess, And absolutely authentic human being!!! And girl you so fine❤❤❤
And don't forget Cab Calloway doing "Minnie The Moocher" loved that scene.
My favourite film
The Blues Brothers
The church scene with
James Brown is superb !
The movie critics just hated this movie and trashed it. But the movie goers loved it. Dan and Jim (Blues Brothers) are credited with reviving lost music of R & B, blues and Soul and saved some of the aging musicians careers and introduced young people to great music
The whole movie is a vibe! You have to take yourself off and watch it.
It doesn't only feature Ray. Aretha, James Brown, John Lee Hooker, Fats Domino, and many more.
Go shake your tail feather Jayy 💜
Fats Domino was not in the movie. Cab Calloway sang Minnie The Moocher
Great classic movie. A must see !!!! 🎸🤙
Yeah Jayy, Now you're cooking with gas!!! This movie is definitely a classic that never gets old & you should absolutely take some time to watch the entire movie because besides all of the great music it is also a hilarious comedy!!! Ray Charles & The Blues Brothers delivered a great one here!!!
Blues Brothers was such a cool movie. I saw it when it came out. So many classic scenes.
The Blues Brothers film from 1980 is one of the most entertaining movies ever. And your constantly tapping your feet to every awesome song in the film.
Great selection, great movie
Haven’t seen it but I want to
Hey Demario!
A Saturday Night Live production, it's a musical featuring a cast of singers and comedians. Featuring Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, James Brown, Chaka Khan, etc
@@THEJAYYSHOW oh Jayy you gotta, let us know what you think, you will be amazed.💯👍🤗
Love ray Charles. Btw your hair looks lovely. ( blues brothers is a great movie)
The Blues Brothers! With John Belushi and Dan Akroyd...1980, or so...ya gots to watch it, one of the best movies ever!
The Blues Brothers movie..... you really need to watch the whole movie... Ray isn’t the only special guest... Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Cab Calloway.... some real blues icons... it’s a must watch!

The Blues Brothers, And of course you have to dance to that music
Like everyone said, you have to go watch the Blues Brothers. Awesome movie. Thanks as always for your hard work, bringing us such quality content.
LOL...I was working at a Drive-In when this movie came out. So I was out watching it every night while I sat out by the exit gate during the movie. Can't even count the number of times I watched it. The movie is *The Blues Brothers.*
You got to watch the Blues Brothers. One of the best movies known for its music.
Such a great movie...with an outstanding cast and soundtrack
My high school friend and I went to see this movie when it came to theaters in 1980. I was 19 then. The movie is called The Blues Brother’s starring Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. James Brown and Aretha Franklin we’re also in this movie.
Get the Blu-Ray DVD , put it in your player and sit back and watch The Blues Brothers, it will be one of the best experiences of you life. Guaranteed.
As everyone else is saying you really should watch this movie and please post your reaction!
I would love to see that!
☮️➕💟
You need to see this epic movie! Btw: The Blues Brothers are REAL and not just a movie-band! In 1978 they released their first record "Briefcase Full of Blues"..! The movie was released two years later! :-)
Those are all famous musicians in this scene. Many were not only members of The Blues Brothers, (which was really an early supergroup), but they played on tons of famous blues albums and songs. Just Duck Dunn alone played with Booker T. and the M.G.s, Sam and Dave and Otis Redding, let alone all of the others. That's a movie where it's worth researching the musicians.
One of my favorites is a very young Matt "Guitar" Murphey in a black and white video of him playing his Murphy's Boogie with some of the older greats. His facial expressions and those gravity defying eye brows as he plays.
The Blues Brothers (1980)
Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi
Great movie starring Dan aykroyd and Jim Belushi The blues Brothers and that's actually a real band
His brother, the late John Belushi
My bad John Belushi. What was I thinking duh
@@rogercaruso9337 they do favor
Saw this at the movies. The mall scene is the best ever. I'm told the mall is still there too.
So many legends in this musical movie, James Brown as preacher with Chaka Khan in choir is fun one too.
Go Girl, everybody needs to shake a tail feather from time to time
You GOT to review the movie, Blues Brothers, Jayy! It's a comedy and musical classic! 👍🤣💕
This whole movie is crazy good! Ray Charles was King! He’ll get moving! The movie was “The Blues Brothers”
Hey Jayy, you need to SEE the whole movie. It's hilarious and full of these little mini-skits.
Awww this takes me back, myself and clubbing mate Deana used to dress this way sometimes for saturday nights in camden in the 80's ... even down to the white socks and trilby
The Movie is titled: "The Blues Brothers"
Movie was awesome
Love watching you suddenly bust a smile at Shake Yer Tail feather and get into it
Man, every time I hear this, the thing that jumps out at me is Donald "Duck" Dunn's outstanding bass line. This movie is one of the funniest films ever made, while also boasting some of the greatest music as part of its score. I love when Ray says, "As matter of fact, I'll throw in the black keys for free!"
One of my favorites, hope you're doing well have an amazing day
With 110 comments and counting you obviously discovered by now that the movie is called The Blues Brothers, starring Dan aykroyd and the late great John Belushi. I will second the idea that it is one of the greatest American musical comedies of all time.
With the amazing musical talents of not only Ray Charles but Little Richard. James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha, and the musicianship of bass guitar legend Donald "Duck" Dunn, guitarist Steve Cropper and just an amazing array of artists/musicians The Blues Brothers is one of those movies every music fan should watch at least one time. Not to mention fans of American comedy movies. Oh, and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia in the original Star Wars films) is in it, too.
You owe it to yourself to see the whole movie. YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF.
Greatest movie soundtrack ever.
This film is one long love letter to Black music. I love this movie so much
Best movie ever.
This is from the first Blues Brothers movie. Aretha Franklin has an appearance in it as well! Great movie!!
The Old Landmark is a must from this movie.
Classic comedy called the Blues Brothers. Shot in the 70s in Chicago
Agree with all. Awesome music in this movie
The movie is 43 years old. It came out in 1980. John Belushi died in 1982 and Ray Charles died in 2004 the same week that Ronald Reagan died.
Ol Elwood and Jake. ❤️❤️❤️💯
Aretha Franklin did "Think" in this movie and it was great
Check out Cab Calloway doing Minnie the Moocher from the same movie. Fantastic!
The 2nd best soundtrack, best being "The Commitments"
Don't forget cab calloway singing Minnie the moocher and Carrie fisher (princess Leia star wars) trying to kill one of the blues brothers.fab film a must see!
Name of movie is The Blues Brothers check out scene with Aretha Franklin and James Brown!

Aretha Franklin does a killer version of "Think" in this movie, also!
