The moment you said you already almost finished your tbr, while i haven't finished anything that's on my May tbr yet. I've started many, but haven't finished them yet. But there's two (Dreaming the Eagle by Manda Scott and A Murder is Announces by Agathe Christie) and i could finish either one of them this weekend. Finishing both would be a stretch though. I'm really enjoying both
I always fly through Abby Jiminez! Except for Just for the Summer because i started it and decided i wasnt in the perfect headspace for it because work was taking too much brain power. im hoping to go back to it this weekend if all goes well ❤
I do not normally comment, but I love your videos. 🏖 I am glad you liked Just for the Summer. Sadly, it worked less for me :) I do have that Emma bagage, so this book was way heavier for me than I want a romance-ish book to be. It was this weird paradox that I saw a lot of my own in Emma, and still I found it hard to be sympathetic towards her. She did not come across as a realistic human to me, nor was her childhood an excuse for her behaviour towards others. Idk why Justin liked her or why her best friend cared so much. It was a lot of telling for me and not enough showing. But I am probably in the minority, so I am just happy for others that this book worked well for them. 🤷🏼♀️❤
The wolf is a pretty good beginning, this year I finished the whole trilogy and overall I'm satisfied. It's more an alternated history than fantasy, liene's library has some good videos about it. I would recommend it if you are interested in the anthropological aspects of world building, nonetheless it's intriguing and has some good characters. Not perfect but good and underrated.
Just for The Summer was so good that I’ve already read it twice. Loved it! Emily Henry has a very similar style. I’d recommend Book Lovers or Beach Read if you’re going to give her a try.
I love the little afterwards in Bloodchild. I wish more authors did that. I've been watching the Interview with the Vampire TV show and have been enjoying it. ⛱️
Glad I wasn't the only one who devoured Just for the Summer in 24 hours, I have zero regrets lol. Speaking of bingeing, it's taking me all my self restraint not to inhale the 4 new Bridgerton episodes in one go, I need to savour this joy lol 🤣😍
I just finished a trilogy that I think you would really like! Scarlet Odyssey by C T Rwizi. It is an African inspired sci-fantasy with magic fueled by the moon and sun but also involves creating an axiom that is like coding. It also has robotic like creatures. It explores themes like the cost of power and power dynamics. Great characters and great plot. Highly recommend!!!

You have me even more eager for my library hold of Just for the Summer to come in!
Yes!! I also read Just for the Summer in under 24 hours. It's just one of those books!
Truly!

I always get such bad fomo when I miss out on the Good buddy reads. But I need to make a better dent in Labyrinth's Heart first.
🏖️ I vote for The Will to Battle!! 🏖️

So glad you had such a good time with Just for the Summer! I had the same experience of just devouring it and not wanting to put it down.
Completely consumed my life for 24 hours 😅

Currently reading the veiled throne by Ken Liu❤☀️ Dandelion dynasty is making its way to my top 2 favs❤ 😍
I’m finishing Wall of Storms this week and I had my doubts in book 1 but book two is coming in clutch! ❤
Just for the summer was seriously amazing
She cannot miss!
⛱️ Womb City is something else. A lot of the things you mentioned is what I thought, too.
My prediction is turning out to be partially right but not loving that 😅
