idk what it is but i feel like everyone is in a slump these days!
I think it's maybe because they read so many so fast and all of them read the same/similar books. I think it ruins the joy of reading. Also I think having a tbr for the month might be too restrictive as your mood might not match the books that are on your chosen tbr that month.

Don’t force yourself to read because you want to get through your physical tbr! If reading becomes a chore you’ll resent it. You could always donate some of your physical books to goodwill or sell them or do random giveaways on your Instagram! Life is short, don’t read books you don’t want to 💕 :)
The representation of avoidant attachment is also why I ATE Just For The Summer for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Abby is so talented & her books feel like therapy

idk what it was about this month, but i felt like most of the books i read just fell flat and now im in a slump where everything feels equally disappointing....hopefully next month we'll turn it around bestie!!! love the vid!!!!

the bergman brothers!! tbh i had no motivation to read any other book because i read "everything for you" and it was so good and non of the other couples came close to them for me :'))
The second book in the Bergman brothers series is soooo good

I too had a reading slump when I tried to read books from a tbr rather than whatever I wanted at the moment. I just embraced being a mood reader, who cares if i own books I haven't read? They look nice on the shelf 😂

The comment about audiobooks when you just cannot physically read! that was very much me in April, audiobooks are a total game changer!. so many of these are on my TBR. So glad you loved IWWV, I read that at the start of the year and adored it, will have to check out the secret history...
Have been trying to get into The Secret of History for a couple months now, just checked my Spotify and the audio is included with premium. Will definitely try with the audio!
hi Heather! I recently discovered Chloe Liese and while I haven’t read the Bergman brothers series yet, I have read the book mentioned on the front cover ‘Two Wrongs Make a Right’ which is book one in the Wilmot Sisters trilogy. The second book ‘Better Hate Than Never’ was my personal favourite and the third book ‘Once Smitten, Twice Shy’ is releasing Jan 2025. They’re technically interconnected standalones but I read both in the published order as the found family story made more sense and might spoil. I highly recommend! 🥰
Funny Story is also now my third fav Emily Henry Book! I still have to read Beach Read but my ranking is Happy Place, People We Meet On Vacation, Funny Story, then Book Lovers. I think HP & PWMOV stand out to me more due to the split timeline narrative but Funny Story was cute!

Question- I liked The Silent Patient and The Maidens by Alex Michaelides, will I like The Secret History and If We Were Villains?
there is one book called Navigating through time by an American author Named Eric jones the book is quite expensive but it isa mind-blowing book the ebook costs 490 rs but every penny was worth spending i am a book lover and this book blows my mind importance of time time management time i have never read a book better then this one on time management ONE must at least Once in life read it read it once in life man
i devoured babel by rf kuang last month and ever since i can't bring myself to finish another book lol like i got reading burn out or something... maybe i shouldve paced myself with that one 😅

The books I physically own, I find a lot on Libby. Being a mom of 4, the noise level says nope! So, Audiobooks, it is! I listen to a lot of books while I am working. If I do not feel the book, I'll soft dnf it and come back to it later on in the month or I'll dnf it completely. I ain't got the time for shitty books.

Heather, do a horror reading vlog!!!! I believe you’d be more relaxed to have a free tbr month where you can pick anything you’re in the mood for at the moment, which means less chance for experiencing another semi-reading slump and you can make various of reading vlogs/day pf life vlogs since it’s a free tbr month 👌✨✨✨
