As a daughter of a Karen, yes. She is blissfully unaware that she is ever in the wrong and will start getting mad if you prove to her that she is, in fact, in the wrong.
I can second this. I loved my mother dearly, she’s passed away, but she was a Karen of monumental proportions and blissfully unaware of how her behavior affected others. They are very conscious of how people treat them, but aren’t to concerned with how they treat people. Also, it seems like the worse they are the more unaware.
Yours too huh? She doesn't know what a Karen is either. You literally cannot argue with her. 5g isn't real. Her neighbors are trying to be annoying intentionally. She's just... uh. Love her to pieces, but sometimes I want to return her to Boscov's.
Narcissistic personality disorder... It's the only thing I can rationalize their behavior by... Otherwise, we shall have to alert the church, and let them know one of their demons escaped to the mortal realm again... My mother was/is the same way... I haven't talked to her in almost a decade as she was just too toxic. I am happy to have done so... She was a shitty assed parent... Good luck!
I literally clapped when she threw the cup back into her car. Thank God I'm out of the food service industry. Mad props to y'all for dealing with this bs
I love how customers think they can talk rudely to employees and get away with it. And a lot times they do because we’re not supposed to say anything back. A few years ago I was working at Walmart part time for some extra money and I witnessed so many Karens pulling this. One time I was giving the door greeter a break and an older couple set off the alarm. I was as nice as I could be, saying that the cashier probably didn’t deactivate the security tag. The woman stood there and cursed me the entire time. The husband stood to the side and didn’t say anything. She had bought a broom and I had to take it out of the cart to get to some of the bags. After I deactivated the tag, I handed the broom back to her and asked her, “Do you want to carry it or ride it out?” She stood there gaping in shock then her husband very calmly told her, “Well, you asked for that one”. I walked away figuring I would be fired but nothing ever happened.
If you were one of my employees and I saw you do that, I would bust out laughing so hard and when she demanded to speak to a manager, I'd just point to my name tag and then the entire team would have a great laugh.
I love how everyone came together to mess with Karen for Tom. Then, Tom getting the ultimate payback. I love it so much. That's my kind of petty. A group effort. 😂😂😂😂😂
Having worked in restaurants the deal is after an establishments closes, it takes approximately 1 to 2 hours to package and label all food, possibly prep for the next day, clean, and possibly set up tables if you're a breakfast place. SO Karen, we don't get to leave until 10ish after we close at 8pm. Thank you for saying you'll never come to our restaurant again, we sincerely appreciate that you're never darkening our establishment again!
I don’t understand how people think they’re entitled to demand service at an establishment that has just closed. I worked at an ice cream shop as a teenager and that wasn’t terrible if people came in at closing. But we didn’t cook food or have a whole kitchen to clean or inventory. I’m sorry some people suck.
Can we give a round of applause to all the bosses in this who stood up for their employees? I've had both, and I can tell you that It really sucks when you have one who does not
As a former hairdresser I am so fkn proud of that stylist for sticking up for herself and her assistant!!! If I had had a boss like that when I was apprenticing I might have stayed in the business.
Yeah the customer was in the wrong but I don't see the problem with wanting a specific stylist & then being upset at being passed off to a different one. I know I'm very picky about who I let touch my hair.
That hair dresser was BADASS, thats how rude people need to be spoken to when disrespectful, just bc you're paying someone to do something for you doesn't mean to get to be the C Word.
Before the elbow incident, I don't think Robin was in he wrong. She booked in with the qualified hairdresser and then she was *told* the apprentice would be doing the rest of the colour, rather than asked if she is OK with that. And if she is not OK With it, the business should respect that and deliver the service that was booked! Instead, the hairdresser was being condescending and aggressive herself. So wrong.
@@MsSilverTulip As a ex-Hairstylist of 25yrs, the apprentice would only be shampooing her hair, most high end salons have them. Trust me, we’re wayyy too fussy to be letting the apprentice’s do the technical stuff that could go horribly wrong. In the end, it’s our name on your head don’t forget. I’ve had my share of Karen’s, we all have. It’s a dirty job but someone has to try to do it. Thankfully I was extremely busy and could always be conveniently too booked to do their hair when they called. 😘
@@MsSilverTulip it might seem that way from the clip but when you hear the full explanation from the hairdresser Robin didn't want the assistant because she is Hispanic. So Robin was just being a rude, violent racist
@@Dove96 the way this started was because the customer was being racist to the assistant and the hairdresser was defending her employee so no that’s not what was happening
The couple at McDonald’s ASSUMED they would get something free because they had to wait. A freebie is a COURTESY, given at the discretion of the restaurant. They acted like entitled snots and he matched their behavior and it was glorious.
I'm ashamed they are British! It's quite common to have to wait if you order something off the standard menu. The drive-thru has waiting spaces and notices just for that. I don't know if the waiting time they said is correct; it's generally less than 10 minutes. The server is a legend!!
My older brother does this. He’ll even claim things are wrong just to get free things. They usually give in because he appears intimidating. It’s so embarrassing going anywhere with him.
I remember one time I took my daughter to Red Lobster for lunch. She and I ordered quite a bit of food, and spent some time waiting. I didn't mind, she and I were having a wonderful conversation. Our food came, we started eating, and the manager comes up to our table. She said "Ma'am, I want to apologize for it taking so long for your food to come out. Your entire meal will be free." I never once complained or made it seem like I was frustrated, because I wasn't. It was a $70 meal and they gave it to us for free. I wasn't expecting it at all.
and literally they expected a minimum wage worker to give them free shit... I'm sure he works an insane amount of hours and honestly I would have ate their food too.
The one time that I got free stuff was when my dad and I were at McDonald’s and the staff accidentally deleted our order. We just asked where our food was, showed the receipt, and they apologized and gave us extra fries for free with our original order. No yelling, no freak outs, just politeness
When Charlotte said, "Throw it back, throw it at her!" Best bit EVER! This keeps me sane, knowing I'm not alone in my abhorrence of the raging, selfish behavior of these so-called human beings. I'm surrounded by them in Georgia. Thank you for the hard work finding and putting together these pieces.
The man who threw the cheeseburger in the window at that entitled girl is my absolute hero LMAO. Also the girl that kicked Robin out. I hope her hair was completely ruined lol
I hope all the salons in the area put her on blast so no other salon professionals have to deal with her awfulness. Let her stay home with a box of Miss Clairol and a Flowbee!
Except they said in the McDonald’s burger video, they said they had waited for 25 minutes for their food……not sure if I’d be that happy waiting for a drive-thru burger and fries either. Unless that food came out piping hot, I would refuse it. You go to a drive-thru, you expect to take maybe 5 minutes to pay and drive off with your food.
@@dawnchesbro4189 In my area, we have McDonald and every day there is a line for about 30 minutes waiting in front of the drive-in. You said what you want, then you park your car, and you wait. Depending on the number of orders they have to treat, you can wait 15 to 20 minutes and no-one never complain and turn to a Karen. Those girls were bad educated, that's all.
@@yazdhenab. yup same here. 25 minutes isn't long if you consider they might have been understaffed due to covid. Behaving like a bitch just because you had to wait a bit, jesus, get some patience woman
@@NHarts3 happens here too wait times at peak hours are bad enough but then you factor in social distancing in the kitchen limiting the number of staff and the fact that people can literally drop a "I have to isolate until I get a test, [insert person in household here] just tested positive" hours before their shift (happened today for us) it's not like the food was sat about waiting either - with a 25 minute wait time that means the kitchen is backed up and the food probably just finished cooking sixty seconds beforehand
@@LeonieJMerry That is EXACTLY why the camera was there and rolling. As an ex Hairstylist of 25yrs, that’s not her first run in with Robynn and she’s the reason the camera is there. Good for her, no need of putting up with that BS, half a colour on and all!! ❤️🤣
What gets me is that she did this when she was in a position of need. The reason most Karens behave the way they do is because they believe themselves to be in a position of priviledge. Disrespecting someone you urgently need help from is the paradigm of stupidity. (unless you don't know the culture and you didn't know it was disrespectful. just saying.)
The reason that whole issue started was because the customer was being racist towards the assistant - if I remember correctly. The video is pretty old but I still love it
Shit was hilarious!! Other than being a decent human being with respect and manners, I'm also afraid that they would mess with my food/kick me out with half done hair... Like how do they not think of that when they're raging on someone that is serving them... It truly blow my mind
The phrase actually goes "the customer is always right in terms of TASTE" as in, if you like it, it can't be ugly/tacky. That doesn't mean the customer can demand whatever and it must be given to them.
I am SOOO happy that people are starting to clap back when treated with disrespect! Also, most businesses will work with you if you are kind, patient and understanding and respectful. Shocking, I know. 😉
Yeah honestly. I work in retail, today a Karen cussed me out and I said something back, it felt so good and I’m not going to let these bitches walk all over me anymore.
I remember years ago going to pick up the pizza I had ordered. The young person went to get it and came back looking terrified- they had forgot to make it. No biggie, they did it quick and I waited. Things happen, and as a child I witnessed my mothers rages at staff and have no intention of ever being like that.
@@Chahlie I have had situations where the business screwed up. If they come back with an apology and a solution to the problem (like they made your pizza immediately) I am happy to work with them and give them a second chance. It does not pay to go Karen on them. If their solution was not acceptable, just don't do business with them again.
I recently went to dinner with my husband and his sister and parents and we had some of the worst service. We met there at 6pm, and the place was pretty dead. We had a younger waitresses and another was near by at times because it appeared she was still training her. All kinds of issues ensued. When she brought my water she poured it all over my purse and the table. I was gracious and didnt get upset. She gave my father in law a bottled beer instead of a draft, then later gave my sister in law a draft instead if a bottle. Neither complained. We ordered 2 hors d'oeuvres and the first 1 came and it didnt look exactly like i thought it should/would but shrugged it off and we all ate some. Then maybe 10 minutes later they bring the 2nd plate of appetizers and the waitress spills the food all over the table (it just all slipped right off the tray when she tried to set it down.) For a second she tried to scoop it all back on and then said "you might want to do that." and left. I did and said nothing, but after she left everyone refused to eat it since it had been on the table. (My husband worked as a manager and bartender for many yrs and said he knows how well tables are cleaned and hes not eating it.) We sent it back and said just take it off our check. Then awhile later (just before we finally gout our main course) the waitress brought another tray with food, and it turns out she had brought the wrong appetizer the first time. (The 1 we were eating.) Which is why it didn't look right to me. Lol. Ironically none of us would have realized if she hadnt brought the correct one. (We waited 45 minutes before we got our first appetizer btw.) And then about 30 minutes after that we finally got our food. And remember the place was dead. Its not like they had a ton of orders. Anyway we eat and about 5 minutes after getting our dinner the waitress brings the check and lays it down. None of us had reached for it because we had jist started eating. Then about 5 minutes after that the waitress appears and says "Are you guys ready to pay?" 4 out of the 5 of us still had forks in our hands eating and we all stop and just look at her in confusion. (Ive never had a waitress do this before. Specifically when they see were still eating. ) Finally my husband , who was done eating, said "theyre still eating....." She just says Oh.... ok. And walks away awkwardly. It was the weirdest thing. But even so, none of is complained once. We realized she was new and businesses are having a REALLY hard time hiring help. They cant keep anyone right now since the govt upped unemployment benefits. Everyone found ways to get fored so they could stay home and still make money. So anyway we understand how hard is. Its that way everywhere around where we live.
My heart feels full knowing that everyone had Tom’s back. And you gotta be next level karen to throw out someone’s 60th birthday cake. 400€ = $600 CAD!!!!!!!!!!
“You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar!” Unfortunately, Karens know damn well you catch even more with manure, and they’ll double down on that shit.
That's not true, in a literal sense. Rotting fruit contains the chemical that gives vinegar its pungent smell, so flies think it is food, whereas honey is just sugar and they can't smell it from as far away. Mix one part apple cider, red wine, or malt vinegar with one part water, add a drop or two of dish soap (to break surface tension so the flies fall in), set it out in an open container and I promise you'll catch more flies than you would with honey.
Love this for us! The hairstylist one I’ve seen before. Robin was being racist against the hairstylist’s assistant. She didn’t want the assistant to do her hair because she was Latina. The hairstylist was absolutely in the right to throw her out. She’s much more patient than I would’ve been.
Big oof for that one. It sucks that a ton of people go into work every day only to be faced with racists and bigots that get away with their shitty behaviour because of the “customer is always right” argument. That hairstylist deserves to go far, she definitely cares for her workers.
I was at IHOP yesterday and my order took 20+ minutes longer than expected. When I received my order, I said thank you and left. It is a privilege to be able to order food and pick it up.
Right? Estimates are only estimates. I'd get annoyed if it was a really really long time over, but only then. If time is tight, I probably wouldn't be ordering food that might take a longer time - my time management is my responsibility.
Exactly, eating at a restaurant is a privilege. Even when the service is awful I'm polite, and simply don't go back to that establishment. The wait staff would probably have to slap me in the face before I got real attitude lol
I ordered pizza and pop for delivery one time and the driver didn't bring the pop. I was understanding considering they were busy and he ended up driving back with our pop which only took another five minutes. I don't order from this pizza place anymore cause of another incident now.
If a customer hits you with any food item that can be considered assault in most places. Get the cops involved. Don't throw food back, but get them in trouble with the law. Get them banned from your store or fined for assault. Be above them.
But they’ll be gone by the time the police come anyway. Are the police going to hunt down the person based on license plate and then what? They get fined? Not worth the effort.
I worked at Olive Garden and one night about 10:15 pm after we close this lady started to bang on the glass door. So I went to let her know we were closed and she said she had a reservation at 10 for 22 people. Eventually she smashed the glass door with a rock and tried to sue us for a cut on her hand and arm.
How do you know that ,Addie? If she wasn't arrested for smashing the window, the restaurants legal council would refuse to sue her, as they lack the elements necessary to win the suit hence it wouldn't get filed. Lawyers have a code of ethics they must adhere to lest they risk sanctions.
@@kevincinnamontoast3669 Most restaurants have hidden security cameras. If they have video proof of it they can absolutely sue the lady for vandalization and destruction of property.
@@kevincinnamontoast3669 they'd have all the legal proof they need, if the restaurant reported it right away; there's a door broken broken from the outside, possibly fingerprints on the stone/glass, the woman's bloodied arm, and probably her blood on the glass from the door she'd cut herself on. That's an open and shut case and if you think a franchiser wouldn't counter-sue for damages to their building, you're dreaming.
@@striderm8389 I learned it from Dr. Rashad Richey who comments often on Karen videos involving white supremacists trying to exclude black folks from places. Ugh, the racist Karens are the worst!
I do hope that server wasn't fired, or treated badly, because of that woman, throwing it back was absolutely the right thing to do as Karen could have said that the server didn't give her what she asked and paid for, and she got what she asked for!
I worked for 15 years at a store whose favorite saying to irate customers was "Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya". It was an almost daily event and we never lacked for customers, in fact when it happened it was normally something other customers enjoyed watching. I was told that before I'd started working there that this was told to an irate customer, Davy Jones of the singing group, The Monkees. (R.I.P.)
I used to watch their show when i was a teenager. ( reruns. Im not that old. ) I was in a bank in Florida one day behind a short man and he was pitching a fit about having to wait in line behind 3 other customers. "Don't you know who I am???" The young lady behind the counter replied " Should I????" His face turned beat red as he complained loudly how" Davi Jones doesn't wait". That little lady ( bless her) said "Well today he does! NEXT!" I always made sure to be in her line everytime i had to go to the bank after. Sadly he totally killed my view of the monkees. Could never stand their show after that.
If I remember correctly, that situation in the salon started because Robyn didn't want the HISPANIC assistant touching her hair... Kudos to the boss/owner for standing up for her employee & putting Robyn in her place! 👏🏽
When I worked at Safeway as a cashier in college (by the way this was during the worst time of COVID so everyone was fighting each other for toilet paper like wild animals), there was a Karen who insisted that I check her groceries out AFTER I had put up my closing sign. I was checking out my last customer and she came and started yelling at me because I told her it was the end of my shift and my sign was up BEFORE she came. She tried to lie to my manager about me putting up my sign but thankfully some customer standing two clerk stations down was like “NO SHE HAD HER SIGN UP WAY BEFORE YOU SHOWED UP” that customer fought a Karen for me and I hope she is having a great life right now. Also at this time I was working two jobs and struggling to finish my degree while remaining physically alive. Stop causing stress to customer service workers @ the Karens
I loved the hairdresser who stood up for her staff when Karen was berating them. I always give tips to the staff who wash my hair or sweep the floors of hair. They are an essential part of the salon experience.
And the hairdresser was really reasonable too. I admire her being so calm and collected yet making an obvious statement and standing up for her staff and herself. The fact that she even told her "we're going to have to reschedule" instead of "You're not welcome here anymore" shows how good of a person she is.
@@loretta2750 It’s not that she didn’t want a assistant, she didn’t want *that* assistant because she is Latina. It was a simple root touch-up, that the main hairdresser did, then the assistant was going to “finish” aka rinse and style.
When I worked retail I overheard people talking as they were entering the store like 10 minutes before closing. "we are in so now they can't close we can take our time shopping". Nope, your wrong, we make announcements letting you know the tills are closing and can close the till so the register isn't useable and you will not be able to cash out.
I work in a supermarket but in the cafe, (I'm in England) but during covid worked downstairs for a little while, Sundays were fuuuuun 😂 Store closing at 4, but people still coming in 10 mins before to do a huge shop thinking "nah they won't kick us out now" we literally had to go round telling people to go pay now or they won't be able to pay and take their shopping, people were not happy but the times are there for a reason or we would be there forever 🤷
Years ago I was the manager of a shoe store when someone rang to check when we closed and wasn't happy we weren't open longer. Just as we were closing two kids rushed in. As we went to escort them out of the now locked door, along comes their mother. She of the phone call. We open the door and she waltzes in and goes straight to the shoes she wanted to buy despite our protests. We escort her and her shoes to the till where she proceeded to complain to the three people now held up by her about our lack of customer service. I just write down our regional managers name and phone number, gave it to her and told her she could ring him and tell him she wasn't happy with the service she received when the store was closed. Oh and to not forget to tell him that she had now made one of us miss her bus and I would have to drop her home and be late picking up my daughter from after school care. She looked like she sucked a lemon. She never made a complaint.
When I worked retail I was closing manager one night and literally had to kick two women out of my store because they kept wanting to try on clothes. We closed fitting rooms 30 mins before the store closes, so fitting rooms were already closed, and they just would not leave. Kept wanting us to get them shoes to try on etc. We had to keep telling them they’ll have to come back in the morning to finish their shopping and they were not listening and getting pissed. I actually had to get kind of stern with them because they were not getting the memo. I offered to hold their items behind the counter overnight for them though lol. The mall security was also really strict and would get very angry if you did not open or close on time and if it got back to the company you opened or closed late oooooh boy you’re probably getting fired. Had to open on time due to contractual obligations obviously but closing late can be a really big safety hazard to retail workers-especially in the area I live because it’s a high human trafficking area and they need to have the mall closed at a certain time.
My favorite moment was when the drive-thru cashier threw that huge drink back at the woman and totally nailed her and soaked her. The shocked look on that Karen's face was awesome. Why do people have to be pricks?
Because they view workers at fast food restaurants as pseudo slaves. They view them the same way they looked at black people in cotton fields and don't consider them fully human. They do this to make themselves feel better. 'no matter how bad my life is I'm better than them'.
Having worked in retail for 14 years, I found those who say "I'm never coming back!" after not getting whatever was desired, mostly end up coming back. Especially in the store where I worked (video retail store). Had lots of them say that, and a few weeks later they came back. Yeah, uh huh, whatever Karen...
When they threw the drink back at the Karen - I almost wet myself from laughter. I can imagine they got into trouble for that, but it was much deserved, bravo! 👏🏻
Bein’ real with you as a manager, if I’d been that girl’s supervisor at the time all I’d have to hear is “She threw the drink first.” for me to tell that woman to leave and we would never serve her again.

I've called service hotlines being upset, and if I know I'll sound upset, too, I'll let the person on the bed of the phone know that I'm sorry if I sound mad and that I know it's not their fault. I never yell at them or anything like that but sometimes you're so mad at what someone else in the company did, it can be heard in your voice. That helps just as much, and usually after telling them what's going on, they can help me, I can calm down and we'll have a nice chat - no hurt feelings, even if you manage to be like me and have a voice that clearly betrays your emotions.
The best customer service I got from my internet service provider was prefaced by me saying, "I want you to know that I'm upset and frustrated with these problems, but I know it's not your fault and I'm not blaming you." She seemed relieved to have our conversation start that way, and my long-running issues finally got resolved. We were both interested in finding a solution, and we were both relieved to know no one was going to be yelling at anyone. It was great.
@@sylverscale I do that, too! You’re absolutely right that it can be difficult to hide. I was at a Carl’s Jr. once waiting for food. I swear to anything this Karen starts getting her drink and realizes there is no ice in the machine. My BF was head chef at a restaurant, where a male Karen ordered his special of the day - chicken curry. The curry was served in a little 3-legged pot, on a platter, with a bowl of rice & accountrements. So the customer poured all the curry out the pot onto the plate, and spilled it ALL over his suit and tie. He went bananas, swearing at all the waiters and the maitre'd, intimidating everyone, causing a scene, and insisting he'd need his suit replaced. So my BF went over and asked him how old he was, and if he needed instructions on how to eat a curry. His girlfriend was falling off the chair laughing at his stupidity - or maybe from embarrassment.
I was having fun at first. Starting at the McDonald's one, I started to get stressed as I always do when on Karen-overload. I have to remind myself to breathe deeply! Karens are deeply upsetting, even when it's fun watching them get their just dessert.
It happens to me too. I get so anxious watching those videos. I haven't seen a karen in my life yet (i've seen entitlement but not karen level entitlement) and i fear the day i meet one
I just found you and love this channel! And the Cakey-Karen story was preciously perfect. Its great how everyone bonds over a common enemy! I would've love to have heard her declare defeat and tell Tom and his friends, "Let them eat CAKE!"

The throwing the drink in the drive-thru was so great. I had a similar situation many decades ago. It wasn’t exactly a Kevin situation, but maybe it was a little. I worked the closing shift. One night, 10 min before closing, a drunk delta-bravo pulls in to order. He was so drunk he could barely get his order out. He was also abusive and the girl taking the order (that we all treated like a little sister) ended up in tears. One of the guys took her place confirmed the order (cheeseburger, lg fries and a lg soda) and got D-B’s money. We threw a patty on the grill for 30 sec, dropped the fries into the fryer for 20-30 sec, and filled his soda halfway with pickle juice. We used 4x the condiments on the burger. We bagged it all up and passed it out the window. As he drove off, we got his license # and called the police to report a drunk driver. I don’t know if he enjoyed his meal or not, but he didn’t come back.
I wasn't sure about the McDonald's one at first. Then I remembered that restaurants usually only have employees bring a customer's order right to their car when they're super busy. That poor guy must have been so tired and stressed. I'm glad he got some revenge. 😌
@Sir Reginald the third what what it didn't actually hurt her, so getting fired is probably the worst that could legally happen. You're right though, he could've handled it better, but then we wouldn't have such a satisfying clip. 😉
I guess the guy was having a bad day and those 2 Karens pushed him over the edge. Not sure it's good move for his employment but I'm sure he didn't care anymore at that moment.
Tip for hairdressers: Keep a spray bottle of diluted hair-removal gel in readiness for Karen customers who abuse staff. Also: A container of Tom's 'fish soup' should have _accidentally_ been left in the Karen's office. Near a heater, but hidden.
I love how people that have never worked a day in the restaurant industry. Expect people to kowtow to them and then think restaurant staff is below them.
I LOVE when people think that the kitchen isn't being cleaned, the grill is off, and we are finishing the last dishes, by the time we close. We do not want to stay after closing for an hour to clean up your Burger mess.
Playing devil's advocate here, but if you advertise you are open, but you aren't serving, isn't that false advertising? Yeah, showing up literally at closing is crazy, even for fast food etc. You should give prep time so it is done by close. Just because you expect it to be quiet and get a head start on cleaning and that is your normal procedure doesn't necessarily make it right. I understand the desire to get out of there asap though. Does a craft store tell customers that they won't sell them anything just before close because they have already organized and counted the till? Hmm, come to think of it, the major retailers used to announce and give a count down to close, *then* lock the doors, usher people to cash and get them on their way, not shutting down before close. I understand the frustration, but isn't it normal to have that time after closing scheduled for the "reset"? Perhaps, like many drinking establishments with kitchens, there needs to be an advertised schedule. We are open until blah, but the kitchen closes at blah. I do phone tech support and know the angst of the last few minutes before shift end when sometimes I get the long call just before hanging up the headset. My record so far was about 2 hours overtime. However, I can't just quit taking calls 15 minutes before the end of shift!
@@patrickbuick5459 you do realize that it's the owner and managers that will not allow the employees to stay long after to clean up right? They expect you to clean AND prepare food in the last hour or so of open hours. They do NOT want to pay employees for hours of work that they are not profiting! Which makes complete sense. Employees could easily take advantage of this and clean very slowly after closing. If the restaurant closes at 8 then your shift is prolly like 12-8 or something. The owner/manager isnt going to play that kind of game when you are consistently getting paid for an extra hour every night. I'm sure on busy, slammed nights every once in awhile they'll let is slide, but that's honestly a waste of time for one HELLA ENTITLED customer. If a restaurant says it closes at 8 then no other customers are coming in! So you expect an entire staff and kitchen to stay open for ONE entitled b*tch?! What if she decides to take her sweet entitled time too? No. Just no. Also the staff have lives of their own, so if they know their shift ends at 8 then they may have made plans or have families of their own to make it home to! Plus servers generally don't even make minimum wage, they make servers pay, which is only like $3 or less per hour! They bank on running multiple tables at a time and collecting tips to make a living wage. If you don't understand this stuff you should prolly not speak on it. A restaurant is way different then a tech support workplace. Tech support has no overhead or multiple employees needed in order to serve A SINGLE customer. This wasnt a scenario of a customer showing up at 7:45 and being turned away cuz they close at 8. She showed up AT closing time. They're closed! It's a different story if the customer is already there with their order in and staying a bit after close, which most establishments will accommodate.
@@patrickbuick5459 yes I read your entire rambling post. You obviously didnt understand the scenario presented by the entitled Karen. No one was talking about closing 15 minutes early but that's what you keep insisting the conversation is about. I'm not a waitress at the moment anyway. I hope you have more tact then your post implies you do ✌
I worked customer service at a Casino. We had different levels of customer loyalty. Ever time a player said they would go somewhere else. My response was if that what you want to do. Dead silence than I thanked them for calling.
Tears of laughter came to my eyes with that last story. I can only imagine what I would have been like if I had been there. I would have been the one hardly breathing from laughing so hard, holding on to the wall with my legs crossed tightly shouting I’m going to pee myself. Absolute legend that Tom is.
The second Karen is one of the reasons why I parted ways with hairstyling. Other than that, it's so hilarious how they overreact when they don't get their way. It's also satisfying for me. 😂
Seneca, I’m so sorry you had to change careers because of “Karen’s” most hairstylist I know absolutely love what they’re doing and would hate to have to change so I know it probably offended you and affected you greatly. Again I’m so very sorry.
That salon owner was wonderful, and appears to be very good at what she does. That Karen is a very ugly woman on the inside AND the outside, but her hair looked good, healthy and not over-processed and she can thank an excellent professional stylist for that. Good luck finding one this good who puts up with Karens! The local salons should post a pic of her with instructions to not take her business (or her Caucacity!) Ugh, she looks like Mitch McConnell with blond hair!
@@robertcohen1888 No worries. I'm grateful that I made the decision to go back to college. I'm pursuing a degree in the education field. I'm doing better than ever.
I've waited 20 minutes for food at mcdonalds before. ofc I was complaining about it the entire time but when they brought it to me my attitude instantly changed and I said thank you. They were busy and only had 1 employee in there and you best believe that food was the freshest I'd ever had. usually when it takes so long to get it, its because they're making it fresh right then.
Spill it under her desk so the smell lingers for ages. Oh, and find out about the air circulation. Put dirty gym socks in front of the vent that leads to her office. Get the whole gross fish and gym socks aroma going😂😂😂
I have to admit, when I see fast food employees giving it back to the Karen's, it makes me happy. I'm seeing it more and more because of anti maskers and they just dont get paid enough to put up with that disrespect. Good for them.
It's actually happening in every aspect of business. People have had it! COVID-19 has really put the world into perspective. Life is too short to live it miserable. Jerks who underpay and abuse employees can't find people to hire. It's about flarfing time.
Karens are everywhere and multiplying. We should make a Karenville where every Karen can live out their dream of arguing, belittling staff, and generally just trying to make a bad day for everyone.
I used to work in a franchise fast food place. A customer lodged a complaint with corporate about us not unlocking the doors and serving them 30 minutes after we closed and also demanded that everyone working that night be fired. Please note: the hours are clearly posted on the front door, the doors were locked, and the exterior lights were off. Corporate ordered our franchise owner to appease the customer and punish us. Our franchise owner gave them some gift cards ($1 each card. not good with any other discount/sale. cannot be combined with other gift cards. no change given if partially used. only valid at the franchise location WAY outside the city. etc) and gave the entire staff a "verbal warning" in the form of a pizza party.
Years ago, a friend that worked as a car hop at Sonic was delivering a Coke to a vehicle. The customer had his pants down and was exposing himself. She just blushed and threw her head straight up and got away as quickly as possible and continued to blush for twelve hours. I told her she missed the perfect opportunity to "accidentally" dump that Coke into the guys lap.
That would have scared me too! Your poor friend. 😡 I was waitress at the local Ramada Inn restaurant, awful job! Paid $1.80 per hour and tips, when I got tips, they were usually a coin or two. For some reason, most people didn't consider it a real restaurant even though it's a sit down place with menus. Women in business suits were the worst, very demanding Karens who didn't tip more than a quarter. I got lots of creepy men acting like I was on the menu too (mostly married men traveling without family), and would give me their room numbers and say disgusting things to me (I was 17 at the time, so that would be a crime, and GROSS!!). One guy grabbed me by the arm and refused to let go until I gave him my phone number. I had memorized our local police non-emergency number so I gave him that. Heehee! I had a favorite customer, though. She would only get pie and coffee, usually before she went to work at a nearby jazz club where she sang and played piano. She ALWAYS left me a $5 tip, more than pie and coffee cost. I went to see her a couple of times after I turned 18 (legal age to drink in TX back then) and loved her music and sense of humor. This was 1978 and she was the first trans person I ever met. I've had positive opinions about trans-folk ever since.
See, the evil me says "just the coke?". I would have pretended I had the wrong order and gone back for a hot cup of tea/coffee to dump on his parts. What's the pervert going to say about it?
When I get my hair done I assume that whoever is assigned to do it is competent do do it, or they wouldn't be assigned to it. As for threatening the person who could ruin your hair if they so chose ... How incredibly petty to you have to be to throw away most of an elaborate cake because of "health hazards"? Was she annoyed because she wasn't offered a slice? mind you, she'd probably have taken the whole thing.
As someone who has had very bad things happen to my hair when I trusted it to an apprentice, I can vouch that isnt the case unfortunately! I’d never have one do mine again.
I loved this one even more than a lot of the other entitled people videos. There was justice but it wasn’t cruel and no one innocent was unduly humiliated on social media. It was a perfect balance for me. Five gold stars! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love it when the advertisement queues up perfectly with the video!8:59 says Karen now needs to inspect ALL food that enters the common area... it went right into the jingle from the bottle depot ad, "we're going on an adventure"! 🤣🤣🤣
Now these are the Karen clips I love. When they get what they fish out. I have seen some videos of Karen's having to go to court and having to really pay the price for their stupidity! Thank you for this
Most businesses not only expect their workers to lock their doors on time but they also don't pay their employees to stay open if they were told to close at a certain time. Also most restaurants close the grill down and expect last orders to be put in 15 to 20 minutes before they lock the doors at the end of the night.
I loved it when I had a manager who hated customers that were rude. I loved it when they asked for a manger and he was the Manager on Shift. He would destroy any confidence they had in a few short words. And if that didn't work he would straight up take a picture of them and ban them from the store. He kept the heavy insults downright mean ones for Karens. It was so good.
I was just talking about the same thing with my sister and her friends... I feel entitlement is a delusion built on self-centeredness and laziness. I don't feel entitled to anything I didn't sweat and struggle for.
This video was SO satisfying!!! More of this!!! Also malicious compliance is my fave!! We did that to a manager and it's the sweetest justice watching them cling to their pride
As someone who hates conflict every time I see a video of a Karen freaking out I have to turn my volume down because I feel like they are yelling at me XD. I’m just happy I’ve never had to deal with people like that in my life yet.
I think the Karen that threw the cake away should have compensated by either paying for what she threw out or buying another cake for them. I mean come on, the guy turned 60 years old and brought in his own birthday cake to share with his employees. That's great that they all stuck up for him though. Cool people to do that.
I used to work at McDonald's the one night this lady walked right up to the window started screaming at my coworker and then decided to literally take her shake and chuck it right in my coworkers face that was my last night working there let's just say I got fired for good reasons 😅
I was just talking about that with a coworker of mine. It's so bizarre when you think about 'wanting to be liked by everyone.' Especially when being disliked by 'the right' people is essentially a badge of honor. So don't ever worry about pleasing people. Let people filter themselves out from your life if they want.
As Led Zepplin sang in "Stairway to Heaven", "when she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed, with a word she can get what she came for". Entitled Karens been around as long as there have been places to shop.
I love Charlottes attitude towards these Karen’s getting what they deserve. I think everyone should do some sort of customer service, it could make people more understanding of situations and hopefully breed less Karen’s. I have a sort of Karen story, I worked retail in 2013, I had a supervisor who didn’t take crap from anyone. She saw these kids running around an expensive 80 dollar globe and told the mom that her kids can’t be playing around it or she has to buy it if they break it. Dumb lady didn’t listen and the little brats broke the globe and the supervisor made the mom pay for it and she was pissed at the kids for breaking it. Lol
That used to be the UNIVERSALLY UNDERSTOOD rule. You break it you buy it. Now it seems sad that you have to announce that policy! My, how things change.
I also think everyone should work in retail at one point or another. I swear this needs to be enforced by law. Like you have to do a year in retail before being allowed to go to college/university or getting a better job. This will result in a lot more patience and kindness in the world
Regarding the 1st, I've worked at a few stores where the manager was,"Christmas Eve, we close at 7pm. You need something? Go ahead and get it. " And then expects us, employees, to be happy at the thought of more work! I mean we are not people, right? We don't have private lives or anything!? Just live for the company............Not!!!
'you just lost my business' Did anyone, ever said 'oh, no' literally everyone says 'thank you, never come back please' and they are usually customers they came once
I work in logistics/claims and complaints/ how many people we wish would stop sending with us is extreeeeme. Wrong packaging, wrong labeling, illegal stuff in boxes, yelling at couriers, yelling at customer service, "We will never send with you again" and week later another package... Really. It takes so much time and energy to deal with these people that we will rather forgo any money from them, just to get rid of them. Literally we are finishing their "problems" with "for office" notes like.. I hope he finds our concurent has better prices or something...Not sorry for loosing these clients. As a daughter of a Karen, yes. She is blissfully unaware that she is ever in the wrong and will start getting mad if you prove to her that she is, in fact, in the wrong.
Feel your pain, glad to see that You refuse to follow her steps.
Unrelated but your name is so nice!
Good luck!
Fun fact: A group of Karens is called a Complaint.
Love it.

That made me laugh 😂
i just spit coffee everywhere! lmao BEST COMMENT EVER
That husband was tired of her shit 😂
😂😂😂
If you were one of my employees and I saw you do that, I would bust out laughing so hard and when she demanded to speak to a manager, I'd just point to my name tag and then the entire team would have a great laugh.
In the 90's there was a 'commercial rule' that "the customer is always right"... That's where this all comes from
Do you want to carry it or ride it out? Awesome response.
I love how everyone came together to mess with Karen for Tom. Then, Tom getting the ultimate payback. I love it so much. That's my kind of petty. A group effort. 😂😂😂😂😂
A class-action petty is, indeed, the best petty.
I still kinda feel bad for Tom and especially the cake. Not only that Karen spoiled his day, she spoiled his 60th birthday!
Karen should have apologized & bought Tom a new cake
Tom is a legend. He made hell in a bucket and showed that Karen what epic troll looked like in the flesh. 🤣
A groupetty :)
In my country the kitchen always closes 30 - 45 minutes before the establishment closes. You can still order drinks but you can't order any more food.
@@lisahuber9329 same. Once the kitchen is closed I don’t want to hear anything anymore 😂
My partner works the late shift in a kitchen and after 11 hours on his feet, all he wants is to close up and go HOME.
@@FuTeffla Exactly, I could barely get into my car I was so sore.
I've had both, and I can tell you that It really sucks when you have one who does not
Ugh. Yes. The ones who stand up to the customers are awesome!
That's the worst part sometimes, boss behind you groveling in the dirt for the customer.
As a former hairdresser I am so fkn proud of that stylist for sticking up for herself and her assistant!!! If I had had a boss like that when I was apprenticing I might have stayed in the business.
I thought she was very patient with that Karen ... I would have told her to F*** off much sooner.
In the edited out part the Karen makes a racist slur against the assistant. That's why the stylist was telling her she can't talk that way.
@@bethanyanne2185 ooh! Ugh! Thats horrible. That’s probably why the Karen didn’t want the assistant to do her hair. Geez.
@@bethanyanne2185 oh man I forgot about that! The full video is just WILD. The sheer audacity of that woman...

@@MsSilverTulip it might seem that way from the clip but when you hear the full explanation from the hairdresser Robin didn't want the assistant because she is Hispanic. So Robin was just being a rude, violent racist
@@MsSilverTulip I am not sure what was going on since the qualified hairdresser was doing the colour in the clip. They were both being aggressive.

Your entire meal will be free."
I never once complained or made it seem like I was frustrated, because I wasn't.
I literally gasped and screamed with delight when the employee threw the drink back at that Karen 🤣
@@NHarts3 happens here too
wait times at peak hours are bad enough but then you factor in social distancing in the kitchen limiting the number of staff and the fact that people can literally drop a "I have to isolate until I get a test, [insert person in household here] just tested positive" hours before their shift (happened today for us)
it's not like the food was sat about waiting either - with a 25 minute wait time that means the kitchen is backed up and the food probably just finished cooking sixty seconds beforehand
"You have half your color on and you want to talk to me like that?" I LOVE HER. Customer is always right is total BS>
Places like Wally World that never back you up, no matter how abusive the customer is, have gotten us to this sad point.
That was epic. She wasn’t gonna stand for Karen’s bullshit.
The video is pretty old but I still love it
My favorite was the beautician throwing Robynn out without even rinsing the dye out of her hair. GTFO, Karen!
Shit was hilarious!! Other than being a decent human being with respect and manners, I'm also afraid that they would mess with my food/kick me out with half done hair... Like how do they not think of that when they're raging on someone that is serving them... It truly blow my mind
I liked how she still tried to be civil and politely explain that it is bad to talk to people like that.
Right?!
Imagine if everyone started doing this. Change the culture from appeasing rude customers to one where mutual respect is the expectation.
I knew she was about That when she said “You’ve got half your color in and you wanna talk to me like that?” Beautiful.
i was gonna trow her out when she said you have to do what the customer wants. i dont have time for that take your busness somewhere else
The phrase actually goes "the customer is always right in terms of TASTE" as in, if you like it, it can't be ugly/tacky. That doesn't mean the customer can demand whatever and it must be given to them.
Exactly!
Agreed! Service workers have been expected to take abuse for far too long now. It's about damn time the tides change on that.
We had Jean-Claude Van Damme come in after the kitchen closed. When we told him we were done for the day he politely said thanks no worries and left.
My heart feels full knowing that everyone had Tom’s back. And you gotta be next level karen to throw out someone’s 60th birthday cake. 400€ = $600 CAD!!!!!!!!!!
“You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar!”
Unfortunately, Karens know damn well you catch even more with manure, and they’ll double down on that shit.
Good one!
🤣🤣🤣
😂🤣
I am your first subscriber 🤩
Thank you for the back story.
Big oof for that one. It sucks that a ton of people go into work every day only to be faced with racists and bigots that get away with their shitty behaviour because of the “customer is always right” argument. That hairstylist deserves to go far, she definitely cares for her workers.

You could sue her for destruction of private property.
How do you know that ,Addie? If she wasn't arrested for smashing the window, the restaurants legal council would refuse to sue her, as they lack the elements necessary to win the suit hence it wouldn't get filed. Lawyers have a code of ethics they must adhere to lest they risk sanctions.

I love that the salon had a sign that said “This is our happy place” 😆 😂🤣Robynn can’t read
Well, it WAS "Our Happy Place" until Karen parked her broom by the door.
The fact that she even gave Robin the option of rescheduling after she almost hit her is wild. She’d never come back to my place

I have seen signs on restaurants something like:
No customers will be seated after 7:30 pm. All customers must leave by 8:00 pm.
That's actually a good idea.
I couldn't help but imagine the last Karen being Umbridge
I thought the same thing! The resemblance is uncanny 👀
My friend once called a woman who behaved like Umbridge an “ officious little gnome.” Still one of my favorite descriptions of people like this Karen.
That's one of my favorite videos. Not too much drama, no yelling. Just a karen getting her butt kicked out to the curb.
And the hairdresser was really reasonable too. I admire her being so calm and collected yet making an obvious statement and standing up for her staff and herself. The fact that she even told her "we're going to have to reschedule" instead of "You're not welcome here anymore" shows how good of a person she is.
I agree. Just because someone has a cleaning or assistant job doesn't mean they should be treated like less of a person. The are essential.
Why were they making that old lady leave? I think I missed something
At Costco they turn off the lights one section at a time to force people out.
And she was lying
Because they view workers at fast food restaurants as pseudo slaves. They view them the same way they looked at black people in cotton fields and don't consider them fully human. They do this to make themselves feel better. 'no matter how bad my life is I'm better than them'.
“Do you hear how she’s/he’s talking to me?!?,” is the second universal call of Karens. Ugh. Never mind how rudely the Karen is talking to the worker.

I’ve been on the receiving end of upset customers and it can be hard to not take it personally even when I know they’re not mad at me specifically.
I was at a Carl’s Jr. once waiting for food. I swear to anything this Karen starts getting her drink and realizes there is no ice in the machine. Didn’t do anything but go straight for the freebie request.

It would have been awesome if Tom had "accidentally" spilled that monstrosity in her office.
I was hoping her would have tossed it in her trash can and say "Just to be safe, I'll toss it out!".
I was hoping he'd dump it in the wastebasket by her desk, forcing an evacuation!

I love how people that have never worked a day in the restaurant industry. Expect people to kowtow to them and then think restaurant staff is below them.
I LOVE when people think that the kitchen isn't being cleaned, the grill is off, and we are finishing the last dishes, by the time we close. We do not want to stay after closing for an hour to clean up your Burger mess.
....and not get tipped either lol

Heehee!

I love it when the advertisement queues up perfectly with the video!8:59 says Karen now needs to inspect ALL food that enters the common area... it went right into the jingle from the bottle depot ad, "we're going on an adventure"! 🤣🤣🤣
Staff fighting back with Karens = PEOPLE refusing to be treated like they are not actually people with feelings. Good stuff.
Heyyyyyyy Everybody ❤️
"We're gonna have to reschedule you're whole fuckin life" omfg that's hilarious
When she threw the drink back at her OMG! My Hero!
The throw-a-drink-at-me-I-throw-it-back-on-you is a classic!
6:42 yall I swear 😂 I'd be slangin the whole damn kitchen out that window 💀
I think the Karen that threw the cake away should have compensated by either paying for what she threw out or buying another cake for them. I mean come on, the guy turned 60 years old and brought in his own birthday cake to share with his employees. That's great that they all stuck up for him though. Cool people to do that.
Also when someone says "You've lost my business" they'll come back. I've had two people tell me that in the span of a week, saw them the next day.
She should have paid Tom back or buy him another expensive cake. Great how this turned out, teamwork lol.
I miss the “you break it you buy it” rule. I was raised with that rule, but it’s no longer enforced these days.
I also think everyone should work in retail at one point or another. I swear this needs to be enforced by law. Like you have to do a year in retail before being allowed to go to college/university or getting a better job. This will result in a lot more patience and kindness in the world
@@user-jy3zl2vp4b You're right! Here in Portugal that still is the rule!
10:40 I do love happy endings when the hero defeats the Karen
But they are not leaving :( :(
