It's cool you can choose 4k60fps but the options are definitely lacking. You can't go 1440p or 1080@120. Also no 4k60fps at launch is just cringe when the game can clearly run it

I remember seeing this game get announced back in the day and I thought it looked cool because I loved Burnout and Criterion, but I never got to play it because I didn't have a PS3 or 360. Now I'm playing it on PC alongside Forza Horizon 4 and just getting back into cars in general. It's great fun, running from the cops and using gadgets to stop them is really addictive, as is trapping a racer as the cops. The sense of speed is great, just what I expect from the makers of Burnout, and the world is fun to boost and drift through. The car lineup is pretty good with some great picks from the late aughts like the Murcielago SV, Viper ACR, Corvette ZR1, and Zonda Cinque Roadster, as well as some great classic cars like the 911 Turbo, 959, Countach, and Diablo SV. The downside is the remaster did remove a couple cars from the initial release due to licensing conflicts, those being the Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss and SLR McLaren, plus a concept car that I can't recall the name of. The lack of Ferrari in the lineup is also a huge bummer, but that's not a fault of the remaster, more a complaint with the original release (likely Ferrari being a stick in the mud). It would have been nice to drive the 458 Italia, 599 GTO, and Enzo, or classics like the 512 Testarossa, 288 GTO, and F40. The best market for EA to invest in is soft sim cade. I myself bought NFS HP remastered but it was only for nostalgic reasons... If they throw us a Most wanted 2012 remastered the sales will drop drastically compared to this one. The NFS community, although varied, has moved on from the arcady games and has started to incline more towards the soft Sim cade ones... NFS Heat is what criterion should build upon for their 2021 comeback. Mark my words, the arcady pick up and play games won't capitalize on the NFS brand

out of all the need for speed games they couldve remastered, they chose this one. i wouldve chose most wanted from 2005 cause this one already looked good on pc lmaoo.
Bro Hot Pursuit is a very very Iconic game of all times plz say we want new more Dlc's keep in mind that the old game has Ferraris so we Need a Ferrari Pack Dlc that has a big list of Ferraris cars for all platforms Especially on PC we need more events more cars why same game just with better graphics it's like copy and paste this one of the best racing game ever made so plz We need more cars ferraris and hypercars like the jesko and the Bugatti Bolide and the Bugatti chiron and some lamborghinis.
The game seems fine for a port of a 10 year old game, but the real problem that you didn't even mention in the review is that this is launching at 40 dollars... Which is kinda insane. EA is publishing this and they just recently released Star Wars Squadrons, an all new 2020 game with modern graphics and a new story, for 40 dollars. This should be like 20 bucks at the most

i wanted so bad for them to add a ferrari pack... rivals the next game has em...they already have them all rendered wtf ea also it would have been nice to have a real rear view mirror instead of tron 1980 happening dere but i am still happy ☺
Back in 2010 Ferrari wouldn't let EA put their cars in the game, so its only natural to assume there wouldn't be any Ferraris in the REMASTER. Rivals was made on a different engine so porting those cars over probably wouldn't work. Even if they could do that they'd still have to get Ferrari to sign off on it and that ain't cheap. There's also nothing wrong with the mirror. Its designed to serve a specific purpose, its not meant to be a simple rear view mirror.
Ferrari is a notoriously pretentious company that is incredibly controlling of their brand perception and how their customers treat the cars they buy from them, so getting them back in Rivals was no small feat. Not to mention they'd still have to get the greenlight from Ferrari to add cars to this older game in the first place. As cool as it would be to run from the cops in this game in a 599 GTO, it doesn't make sense for EA to go through the ridiculous amount of effort required to get Ferrari on board for a simple port/remaster.
I like this it’s a revival, sure it’s not very different from the original but it brings the community back you relive the experience as if the game is coming out for the first time.

The NFS community, although varied, has moved on from the arcady games and has started to incline more towards the soft Sim cade ones... NFS Heat is what criterion should build upon for their 2021 comeback. Mark my words, the arcady pick up and play games won't capitalize on the NFS brand
My only tiff with the game is the lack of customization. Other then that it is a lot of fun
I think the Ferrari f50 was the car I used the most I expect the Corvette '90s early 2000 style
Dawg WHO is DRIVING in this video
I just bought Assassin's Creed Valhalla Ultimate Edition and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Need for speed Hot Pursuit Remastered for Xbox One X
And i bought the #SeriesS and the #SeriesX
Plus already bought Watch Dogs Legion, Star Wars Squadrons. I'm ready to game 🎮
Jesus
@@Meceric Just now Bought COD Black Ops Cold War aswell
Last time I played a racing game, it was the 1998 version of hot pursuit.
I hope they remake nfs rivals because that game is also awesome!
I wish it had the car customization that heat had
It wouldn't fit in a game like Hot Pursuit.
Might get this as I never played the original
That rear view mirror... 144p
This is disappointing to me as I expected a remaster of the 2000s version of hot pursuit not this much newer one that is perfectly fine as it was.
I still miss the old hot pursuit and those old cars like the Mercedes clk gtr and Opel speedster
Why would they remaster this game over nfs:hp 2 for example!? Nfs:hp 2 is an amazing game, especially on the ps2, it needs a remaster for sure.
@@Skumtomten1 it was a great game on pc
out of all the need for speed games they couldve remastered, they chose this one. i wouldve chose most wanted from 2005 cause this one already looked good on pc lmaoo.
the fact not a single thing seems to have changed fucks me off
Bro Hot Pursuit is a very very Iconic game of all times plz say we want new more Dlc's keep in mind that the old game has Ferraris so we Need a Ferrari Pack Dlc that has a big list of Ferraris cars for all platforms Especially on PC we need more events more cars why same game just with better graphics it's like copy and paste this one of the best racing game ever made so plz We need more cars ferraris and hypercars like the jesko and the Bugatti Bolide and the Bugatti chiron and some lamborghinis.
IT'S A SUPERB GAME but they remastered only the Price. What a shame.
I never got to play the original online, idk I might pick this one up
what's the max fps in this remastered version on PC? 120? 240? uncapped? does anyone know?
it is still 60
I have the original version from 2010 can I play online with the remastered version players?
No because it's a different version of the game
The game seems fine for a port of a 10 year old game, but the real problem that you didn't even mention in the review is that this is launching at 40 dollars...
Which is kinda insane. EA is publishing this and they just recently released Star Wars Squadrons, an all new 2020 game with modern graphics and a new story, for 40 dollars.
This should be like 20 bucks at the most
£3 on PS store now...get it !
By far the best need for speed game.
Hot pursuit 2 remaster would be cool
On ps5 this runs at 60 frames. It's awesome
Welcome to another review showing off 1 single camera angle through the entire video. What other camera angles are there?
It's a 10 year old *Need for Speed* game. If you truly don't know by now, that's your problem lol
@@MikeJones-bm4wu I have it on my old ps3 so I do know son! But this is a common problem for reviews like this. To never show the camera angles, so if you'll excuse me, I'll exercise my right to complain about it as long as they keep doing it. Complained 10 years ago, and I'm not about to stop.
@@EchoLandscape lol you have the game already and still complain about something you already know the answer to lmao you exercise that right then
@@MikeJones-bm4wu Damn straight son!
@@EchoLandscape lol typed "I will" then deleted to type "damn straight son!"
Does everyone know that you can drift with the gas pedal in this game, or am I just late to the discovery? I don't remember being able to do it on the original.
It has the Need for Speed Heat controls on this version, I believe you can change it to the original hot pursuit controls in settings , but I actually loved Heats drift controls so I just kept it on
@@timmygressler7468 Yup.
100% upgrade from the original console version. Almost identical to the original pc
Nfs 1 remaster 2021 looks exactly like in 1996
1:24 seems that the remaster looks better than the original here, obviously improved textures...hmm...man idk if i should get it, i'll wait for a sale, dont wanna spend 30 euros
If u have a PC with atleast 4GB graphics card consider using old game with this graphics Mod ruclips.net/video/yWl8krK0TOI/видео.html
Can we get Burnout 3 Remastered now EA? PLEASE.
$30 saved from buying dlc & additional hrs of gameplay hell yeh.
Still traffic cars have missing shadows and head lights😂
Is this playable with a steering wheel like logitech g923 for example?
Not at launch. Support for wheels is coming I believe though.
Is it worth buying especially for £18????????
Nfs like heat. But u can play as a cop as well. That's what i want.
At least they have to add more recent cars
You know this game was made in 2010 & the setting is 2010 right?
is any save option in this game?
I loved need for speed hot pursuit 3
We need a remaster of nfs most wanted
I just want underground 2 and most wanted remastered
they're obviously testing the waters with this remaster. id expect to see those games remastered if this goes well for them financially.
Am I the only one who experiences a delayed steering?
i wanted so bad for them to add a ferrari pack... rivals the next game has em...they already have them all rendered wtf ea also it would have been nice to have a real rear view mirror instead of tron 1980 happening dere but i am still happy ☺
Wheel support?
Hope this come to Stadia. Looks like a perfect racing game for mobile gaming
>They remastered the wrong hot pursuit game.
>NFS HP1 and HP2 are both still un-remastered and un-loved
Why do you always sounds so robotic?
We need a nfs carbon remake fr
