Looks fantastic....you did a great job polishing it out. I know first hand how much work goes into it.
The sandpaper part went pretty quick to 90% shine. It was the Mothers Wax taking it above 90% that takes more time. Skipping the sandpaper 120gr to 10000gr and using only Mothers Wax would have taken forever.

P.S. The worn black parts actually look good. I’d scuff u the safety lever to match.
Frank, the safety needs more. I tried but with all grooves it was harder than the hammer or slide release. The trigger and hammer have a blue color.

Would love to do the same to my P8L but I don't own a buffer machine as you had used. I have the various grit sandpaper on hand but maybe in the near future I will tackle that project 😊

Those are "Cool Grips" but metal and i think eBay.
Great job it looks amazing! After polishing with mothers did you soak the parts in acetone or do something else to remove all the polish before reassembling?
Ballistal on a rag. The 10,000 grit left a better shine than Mother's. It was a fun project. Thanks 😊

I just polished a beautiful Turkish made stainless steel pistol. The pistol is flawless, otherwise any imperfections woild have been magnified by the polish.

Finally started mine. Looking great already! How did you remove the front and rear sights? I've removed the pins but dang things won't come out lol. What did you use to strike them to push them out of the slider?
I have the blue sight pusher, can't remember the brand but very cheap maybe $25 and pretty good. Amazon or eBay 7 or 8 years ago. 🤔

May I ask what grips you have used on this Sar
They look like they fit great
Cool Grips from eBay or Amazon. Made for CZ I think. Maybe for SAR. But fit perfectly. I thought Cool Grips only made grips like VZ or LOK.
So how does this compare to your K12? Just asking to know which one to buy first. Teaching my wife and daughters how to shoot and want low recoil and accuracy.

90% of the shine can be done in 2 hours with sandpaper. Then 20+ hours with Mothers on the last 10%.
You say the grip screw didn’t fit properly, what do you mean by that. I’m trying to find grips for mine but don’t know if CZ75 grips fit or not.
The full size CZ works fine. After that video i wiggled it and the screw went all the way but there is a tiny gap uncovered.
