See that be a guy who I wouldn’t spar with because he’s the type of guy to get someone hurt during sparring. I get trying to train hard but, there is training hard and trying to get someone hurt. Keep up the good work man.
nope, i'd spar someone like this for experience. hard sparring is good for simulating real situations you'd be in during a match. if you're in the corner getting clapped up you'll never take a backstep again during your next match.
@@noelbouwman1938 if both parties are on the same page and agree to go hard, sure. However there isn't much to be gained from taking full power shots to the head repeatedly during sparring. Save those for the legs and body. I'd have no interest in sparring that guy.
This is the kind of sparring partner you try to avoid, they throw wild punches to catch your jaw and then whine when you counter everything they throw and fire a "warning hook" to tell them they are trying too hard to hurt you. (Ps. A good liver shot tends to hurt them enough to weaken their punches without giving them a concussion)
If I would be sparring against someone I wouldn’t care if they get humbled by a liver shot or concussion. Out of my own experience only thing you can do here is avoid sparring at all, and if somehow you end up sparring with them anyway, I would say I’m gonna hit some punching bags. And if they really need to be humbled i would go all out on them like they were on you.
@kaspervletter290 since he's Moroccan, he might actually be from the Netherlands, but hard sparring is a pretty stupid idea f your partner didn't agree to it.
When I spar people that go aggressive I let them know it's aggressive, if they don't slow it down I go 100% fight mode until I know they can't take it anymore then go a little more. Sparring is for practice, not for injuring somebody, put them in their place.
The problem is when you are in front of a very high level guy. If you ain't sparring against someone clearly below your level of proficiency, then the risk is actually getying hurt or knocked out. The best is to verbally say "stop. Dude, calm down, we are not teying to hurt eachother and this is not a fight, sparring is just for experience, not to win by knockout or health concerns on the other one." If he doesn't understand, just leave the guy sparring with the air.

In Holland unfortunately alot of ego is involved especially with the younger generation. I would love to see the whole video to see how you deal with them! (Ofcourse not everyone but i speak from experience)
It’s mostly just culture. Dutch kickboxers are notorious for their hard sparring techniques which differs a lot from Thai fighters. They believe it prepares the person better for upcoming fights
Yea this is normal at good Dutch gyms, but also common with the Dutch maroccan fighters (I love their style, but try to avoid sparring them when I have a bad day). You are way too kind and risking it with the dodges VS this rough style, if he would be better he might land some damaging shots. This is why we usually go for pretty full defense and try counter a lot to stop the sparring partner from dominating. And also use many knees! You are taller, when the aggressive fighter moves in throw that flying knee! Obviously you are super skilled and know how to do this, now you are in the Netherlands this is your chance to knockout all your sparring partners with bodyshots! And in my experience there is very very little ego involved with the better fighters in the Netherlands, they don't care about the opponent/sparring partner though. At the last 3 gyms I was at the class would have like 80 people signed up and only 20 attend because the rest have injuries..
I say knock the fucker out.

The problem is when you are in front of a very high level guy. If you ain't sparring against someone clearly below your level of proficiency, then the risk is actually getying hurt or knocked out. The best is to verbally say "stop.
I'm not saying this is good but it quickly filters out the not so good fighters
@@airsoftsniper9191 Also from the netherlands.
