Agree 100% with the fact that some people want fun builds. People get caught up in thinking they need whatever the best of the best have so it can sit in the safe and then make fun of people who are running and using what they enjoy. Great video! Love the build man

I went the same route. Bought a MK18 upper and an Aero M4E1 lower. I wanted a Radian lower but got tired of waiting to get one lol. Great build. Similar to my own, Unity setup and all, but I went the Eotech way. Just need a can and I think mine is done.

hahahaha I was thinking the same thing. He could have built two true "budget" builds with the just the cost of the unity mounts and the DDMK 18 upper.

Still need to get Palmetto State Armory Pistol Lower $150
Another $100-200 in smaller parts, plus $70 to send it to ADCO and have the block pinned.

*MARK 18… mark. And also the mk18/CQBR was more a “class” of rifle/upper not one set of a specific parts list. Sure DD has their own rifle coined the mk18, but the term is more so just a general term for certain specifications
You mean em Kay 18?
I think it came out pretty sweet. I did a Mod 0 and its a legit build but Mod 0s were easy. Block II are way more freestyle. Its really just a 10.3 AR. You can literally do whatever you want and its "accurate".

Aero is awesome!! Used mostly lowers but SOLID!
From the thumbnail alone, I can see our budgets differ considerably. 🤔
I took a chance on a Rise Armament RA-434 trigger and I am impressed.
I have a PSA slx 1x prism in front of a 3x vortex micro magnifier on my 11.5'. Love the ACSS reticle at one or three power for close to medium range. It's not a MK18 but fills the same purpose!
Almost the same. PSA 11.5", 1000 lume streamlight, Vortex sparc GEN 1, BCM extended CH, failzero bcg, ALG trigger and works just fine. I'm pretty sure the total was sub $1000.
I believe people should learn how to build their own AR15s. It really allows you to become familiar with the whole weapon system. Can DD build a better carbine? Absolutely but they also have better tools than I do. The only things I cannot do myself is pin a weld a muzzle device and drill to pin a gas block.

Ive seen this video so many times bro. I finally bought the DD upper for close to 630$, followed you recommendation for the BCG and the Charging handle, for the muzzle I picked up a breek arms 3fo-s flash hider because in PR we cant run silencers. For the lower I picked up a Palmetto state MOE stock and grip bundle with a CMC LPK and a CMC flat face trigger.. I ordered a Sharps bros Livewire Lower Reciever, for accessories I went with HS 512C and a knock off of a unity riser (because I refuse to pay $200 for the original lol) & olight odin with pressure pad for the light.
Only thing budget about this is the Lower LOL Great build man. Only reason i went from Aero to Centurion arms is the full auto cut for... reasons

Hahaha good man! I did a similar build with aero and dd m4A1 upper. I paid 680 out the door with next day shipping included on thanksgiving in 2022. Although my lower is aero my rifle is in no way budget however lol I got carried away (DDM4A1, dead air KeyMo, dd fixed front, streamlight protac hlx, aero lower, radian talón, radian raptor, LMT Enhanced BCG and bolt, geissele 3g, law folder, vltor a5, vltor IMOD, Matech bius, nightforce nx8 2.5-20, badger comm 1.54 mount, or with an EOTECH 512 in adm mount when it’s home Defense). Sucker is a work of art!
Nothing wrong with an Aero upper or lower. They make awesome ones if you ask me and the upper and lower are just solid pieces of aluminum, no moving parts. I think people get too caught up in brand names, especially parts that have no moving parts that are still made to mil-spec.

The Brownells upper is cheaper bc they don’t pin the gas block for the Brownells version.

The rifle looks nice but I personally don't like DD since they don't care about keeping to the tolerances of the rifles when being machined.

Still one of my biggest regrets was not knowing about the mk18 before that sale because I could’ve really bought it when that sale was going on and when I was finally looking to get one the brace ban stuff started then I couldn’t even find a pistol mk18

Can some please explain what an SBR is I’ve googled it and watched videos not really getting an exact answer I want to start another build but I wanted it to be 10.5 barrel.

Yeah reg forged lower and ssae (closest to SSf in semi) soo yeah but I love the trade with it taught me a lot of discipline has under a 1 pound second break so hold him at the wall I can just rip shot accurately but I did a Daniel build it with a RS two bored on a 45 with a centurion arms 4150 machine gun steel chrome lining and when I say that I truly mean it it is a M249 profiled into the SOCOMa heavy barrel I build it from scratch I’m not gonna use a Daniel Barrel I have a 10.3.barrel bud it is MK 4 geissele 9.5 in you can see a huge difference if you look at the barrel extension of the manual which is also CHFCL but not as strong 4150 and another thing they had a proprietary gas block system where it is tabbed similar to HK and run cranes Gasport sizes which is the lower end because it’s meant for full power ammo White sierra match king or just other self-defense type loadings believe Underwood which I need to try
The good thing centurion does it is their gas block is fucking tight and I mean tight is needed to be hammered on and with the oil on the barrel and their company also offers if you didn’t go through supersize a very high where you can get a thermal set up or or no thermal food you want because you’re gonna has tiger car service with a thermal sit in the non-you just torch the threads for about 10 seconds quickly slip fit and also people will bed also to add accuracy using loctite 680 im thinking of it on my next radian or w e but hey mk18 is a program and basically a upper no guys it would run a suppressor with a 14 five with the rail and the same set up with a 10 three may be different topics of the 14.5 and a holographic the short barrel 10.3 but a short barrel at this point is a field build The barrel on the snowman do you want to say it old is a MK 18 it’s a short barrel pastoris but don’t be nervous fucking put a buttstock on there after you do the form 4 200 bucks God for bid just make sure it’s the quality lower personally I think and 30 very least everyone should have one1 sbr forged lower and a billet sbr lower

Not wait tho
Ok soooo, you need back up irons, a better trigger, take the comp off, run a flash hider. Lose the mounts and get that height over bore better off. You are on the right track just need to think more practical
Just got my mk18 upper from brownells yesterday! Just waiting on my geissele ssa-e x and my sons of liberty forward controls ambi lower to come in this week and i can build it out! Project MKfaketeen

EM Kay 18 sounds so much cooler that MK18.
It's a really sick build, but aside from the aero lower, this isn't even close to a budget build. $800+ optic, $250+ for mounts, $400 weapon light, $100 charging handle, $250 law tactical folder...etc. This is basically a Mk18 with an aero lower and all the best furniture money can buy.

Better hope your impact weapon components kit doesn't fail or require replacement. They offer a life time warranty guarantee. Yet that's only if their shipping department is up. Or at least that was the reaponce I got. That was back in February. Now when I email I get no responce.
They did say they would replace it though. Just have no idea when that will be.

same as cobalt kinetics u paying a bit for the quality of the gunsmithing. heard the bolts are solid. Barrels are just ballistic advantage so take that for what its worth. they mainly use zev/mega rails which are pretty sturdy
@@matthewbednarski6970 ahhh, another ballistic advantage company lol, that what I really wanted to know. I mean they're pretty good barrels for the money. I got one from Aero Precision, and it runs fantastic. I'm pretty sure they're using BA barrels anyways, so many companies do from what I've heard.

That means his budget is a whole lot bigger than our budgets! We work too hard and too much and don’t get paid enough.

BCG n barrel are all that matter..don’t understand why ppl would spend over $100 on a stripped upper or lower. Oh and handguards…i’d spend more for anti-rotation and a good nut. That’s what she said.

The only budget part is the BCG. It seems like some guys enjoy saying they spent a crapload of money and then call it budget as if they are filthy rich.
The Aero Lower is budget.
Awesome for the price, but definitely budget compared to the rest of the rifle.

I bet all those accessories cost more than the rifle. I’ve never understood why civilians have 2 or 3 different sets of optics and sights on their platform. I saw a dude at the range one day that had 2 optics, a pair of iron sights, a flashlight, a laser, and a IR laser while not owning a pair of NVG’s. He had no military experience either, so he had no clue how to manipulate any of the sighting devices. It’s easy to spot people with no military experience by looking at their rifles at the range. Personally I have the most fun shooting with my basic, Vietnam era Iron sights. I enjoy making the needed adjustments to get my shots on target. The M16a2 or its civilian equivalent is such a great platform. To be able to easily land 500 yard shots on target with basic, no magnification, iron sights is gratifying. Yeah I doesn’t operate like an AK when dirty, but I’ve yet to see a rifle as user friendly as an M16/AR-15

I don’t think “budget” is the right word when Unity, Daniel Defense, Geissele, Aimpoint, etc. are some of the first companies mentioned.
Budget?! Funny, how at the range some guy was having problems and frustrated with his brand new DD PDW. Only to approached me to asked me what I had and show him my old PSA 11.5" with upgrades for a sub-$1000 total on it. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Such a long suppressor. Wind up with a 18 inch barrel with 10.3 inch velocity. Is having suppression that much better than just using a 16 inch barrel with good velocity?
If you are planning on using it as a home defence that may be used indoors, the answer is a resounding YES!
