This is going to be the battle of interruptions
100%

I love it when two people can have a heated debate and vehemently disagree, the hit the off switch and return to civility.
I speak like this naturally and people think I’m hostile. I’m like, no, I’m not mad. I thought we were just talking.

Rather than reach for the missles?
Ntd calling him grumpy old man was civility...lmao
@@afterhours1969 Bill was quite hostile a few times, props to Neal for not letting it get to him. I do have to give props to Bill also for being so patient with Neil at times when he kept interrupting.
The best point made by bill is that we’re all human at the end of the day and when we treat each other as equals the rest won’t really matter.
Except for right wingers, conservatives, and the evil orange man of course.
but he's the one who doesn't treat others with respect
"I love you always. Even when we fight." We need more people in this world who are like that.
Nah we would less of that garbage.
Definitely. Somewhere, it seems, humans have lost that ability to simply have a conversation. 2, or more, people are NOT going to agree on EVERYthing. Just because 1 doesn't agree with another, doesn't mean there has to be hatred. Hateful put downs, & name calling, is NOT a conversation. Sure as HELL no civil one anyway...🤷♀️
Best guess ever!
@@joannerudolph5028No guessing here...However Tyson is a guest, yes.
It's far more entertaining when Bill absolutely disagrees with his guests. Great video!

These guys are def not buddies. Bill hates anyone who disagrees with him, then becomes hypocritical, then tries to end the show early, then awkwardly tries to make light of the situation, then begs Neil to do a public talk because he chases clout since he's irrelevant.
Neil is only here because he believes everyone is equal and I thinks likes to balance the types of opinions he talks to to increase is Speech skill level.
It's funny how they're fundamentally saying the same thing on most things, but they're both not listening because they want to come out on top, lol. Best friend potential.
Neil Tyson must understand that the moment he cares more about not hurting his fans feelings over presenting scientific facts, he stops being a scientist and becomes an activist, and don't get me wrong, you can care about people's feelings but sooner or later you must choose between those two things and even if you go all the way to don't say things that would make people angry or trigger, the truth is nobody and I repeat NOBODY can make everyone happy, there is going to be always somebody who doesn't like what you say even if is a scientific fact and that includes "fans" (And let's be honest, if those so call fans get angry if he says the "wrong thing", they weren't fans in the first place).
And most importantly, in a free society, NO ONE is above criticism because that comes with our right of free speech.
Very true. Neil is making a lot money right now being a mouthpiece and self deception/ justification can be very strong even in the most intelligent individuals. combine this with the ever looming threat of being cancelled in todays witch-hunt society and I think we are seeing the result. It is still really unfortunate though.
We had an inkling years ago that facts and science would begin to clash with the ever increasing “feelings” society, I just hoped it wouldn’t be this bad.

Fun interview, thanks guys.
Bill is the man of the year!! His position on not doing college shows, on why the students are like they are, and not allowing Tyson to call him an old man yelling at kids to get off his lawn was the best two minutes of any conversation I've heard in years. You are super gifted Bill, and you do the hard work to know what you believe to be true and communicate it. Outstanding!!!!
He's not George Carlin, too lazy to evolve, he's busy with his 20 yr old girlfriends..
I love this, thank you for being real!! Both of you.
wow my favorite guest so far, well done Mr. Bill Marr. I so enjoyed the breadth of the conversation, the humor, and I agree, if we all don't rise to a higher consciousness about everything we are doomed to inadequacy. I am 80 years old as i write this. and I am so tired of people who kill other people, I am so sick of liars. How many of the 72 virtue's do you know? How many of the 10 commandments do you keep, How many people must die before you can admit, guns are not the killers , its people. We need a safe environment to raise decent and knowledgeable adults. I personally do not know a woman my age that has not been abused by a man or woman. Thats very sad for me to say.
.
True- But do you HONESTLY know any HUMAN whos is your age who has not been abused by another human (and usually several humans at differwent times)?
I checked out of Club Random for months on end from a wave of kook guests and folks I’ve never heard of- but this one I had to watch- Neil is an icon and a hero to me, and this episode is one of the best I’ve ever watched as far as I’m concerned.
Neil doesn’t disappoint, ever.
Dude’s mind operates on a level of energy and resonance that nearly nobody can comprehend, and it’s mesmerizing.
Bill says “about how we ended Covid.” And Neil immediately takes a sip of wine 😂😂
Neil is holding a cognac glass.

Grand Mainer, Neil said.
Brandy isn’t wine
Bill missed a golden opportunity to address all the recent serious injuries that females have suffered at the hands of biological males including the most recent incident of a girl getting her teeth knocked out.
Whatever
@@yukon4511yes, caring about women is so last century 😂
@@yukon4511 Absolutely disgusting not to care about men abusing women
He didn't miss any opportunity. This is just a podcast with two semi-drunk elderly man talking over each other. It's not their job to point out every single injustice happening in the world in the most fair way possible. Get over it and enjoy the fact we have access to conversations where people can still disagree.

Great duel of minds between these two guys - loved it, especially when they emerged unscathed from 'combat' although I must say NdGT was the calmer of the two!
👏👏 Bill Mayher is speaking some serious truth Nowadays I used to hate him with a passion, but now find myself listening to him and agreeing with him. 👍👏👏
That seems like a you problem bc he’s kinda been on the same channel for a loooonnnngggg time
@@zjedinite Bill Maher has drastically changed. He still has certain views he hasn't changed from, but overall has clearly become more moderate. In the 90's he was definitely far left, and never would be agreeing with as many as he does now.
@@My-Name-Isnt-Important Bill is a smart man. The best comedians shift back and forth from left to right. George Carlin was the same way. It's their job to entertain everyone they can entertain. As a Non-Partisan Agnostic, I love it!
He’s good at what he does…but his “truths” are always subjective
He's speaking opinions, not truth. I think we learned the difference back in primary school.
I love the podcast, Bill. @48:15, FYI, the Lincoln-Douglas debates didn't happen in 1860, and they weren't regarding the presidential election. (POTUS candidates didn't debate publicly until the mid 20th century.) They occurred in the mid 1850s, and they were debates related to the Illinois state election--which Lincoln lost.
I knew from the beginning that this was going to be good!!!!👍
Love this ❤❤
So basically, when you ran out of arguments, just pull out the race card. Works like a charm.
He's a diversity hire.
Right, why else would you hire him?@@user-kl9bi4jt4t
