Even I admit he's smarter than me, however, his religious views, or at least those that were displayed during one question "do you believe in God" were at best incorrect. He thinks atheist started in 1775 in lisbon when an earthquake followed by a tsunami, when its pretty obvious by now that atheist is bred by bad personal experiences. Which predates that by thousands of years. Nobody is trying to nick pick, but I wouldnt call him a philosopher or his philosophical views are weak. But still, he's smarter than me in most subjects.

Why ? He’s not a good physics- if he has a manus he is good, but when he is on the loose he’s making mistakes a first year graduate wouldn’t make. I think he has a problem with fame - he apparently thinks he needs to have an answer to anything and latest was when he said unuamua couldn’t be anything but a strange asteroid- then Arvid Loeb said that science is all about curiosity and trying to figure out what it could be. Now he has a new approach- and ignoring how he was the biggest criticism of this still mysterious thing. And this is just one of several things that he has said before thinking about it. I do like him, but I’m surprised how little he actually knows about the universe. His lack of basic math is strange. And then he’s a bully who has a tendency to be rude but suddenly Arvid , Sabrina etc who’s working scientists takes him to school. Because he’s has no knowledge how theoretical physicists works. And why people often let him of the hook is beyond me. Compared to Brian Green, Carroll , and others most be connected with his fame. But do your own research and see what I mean. Have you read his book- his example of crème in coffee is childish and is more look how clever I am. If you need to write something like that- you aren’t doing physics- just humiliating a person by saying something everyone that knows the slightest about it might think like I do. Remember i like him when he does his homework first- but I think he needs to step down from the high ground and come back to earth. Do you listen to his podcast? It’s built up so he appears smarter than he is. And of all of several podcasts this is one of the worst. Sorry for ruining your picture of NDT. But try and keep a sceptical view on it and I think you will get a bit of a reaction In a more negative way than you apparently have now. 😊🎸

funny how you are angry and all riled up about the most innocent, unpolitical video on the internet and worse yet, on my comment which was completely clean of Bias or politics !
but again, your kind, the children with access to internet are the majority of RUclips and even though your existence and comments would often close all doors to a rational conversation, it is a bitter pill that we have to swallow, because there is no policing the Harassments or plain bias in youtube.
but i can see for a fact that with that much anger and foul mouth that you have, you will never be anywhere else in life but behind that PC , insulting and trolling people... so in reality, you are insignificant, and thus i pretend you never spoke... you have too much to learn and too little time left to learn them !

He's a fucking liar. Snap out of it

    • @2fast2block
      @2fast2block 3 года назад

If you're calling Neil honest, you really don't know what a liar he is.
Neil deDumba$$ Tyson asked about the start of the universe and if he believes in God:
Larry King, "Who started all this; do you believe in God?"
Neil, "The proper question should be who or what started it, but I don't know. If I don't know I'm going to say I don't know."
from the beginning of this video: ruclips.net/video/v-qU4F0lNfU/видео.html
What we KNOW and have NO doubts about...
Real science says nothing does nothing. Real science says if there was something there already it must fit with the evidence of what we know. We know the 1LT says there's a conservation of energy. It can change forms and neither can be created or destroyed. Creation cannot happen by natural means. The 2LT has various aspects, one being the universe is winding down, entropy. Usable energy is becoming less usable, so at one point usable energy was at its max. This all points to a supernatural creation, by a supernatural creator at a certain point in which matter, space and time were created. When I read how it can happen otherwise, ALL the fools resort to science-fiction. Once a supernatural creation is accepted, then the next step is finding proof of what supernatural power did it.
Neil does not know BASIC science. Not only can't we have creation without God, Neil does not know that we also can't have science without God. The laws of nature can only come from a Lawgiver, God.
Tyson says his dung at about 2:00 in the video below about the eye evolution. It is proven false in the rest of the video. But to shallow people, to hell with details and what the evidence shows. Your agenda is all that matters.
      ruclips.net/video/X7h2HWcTwa4/видео.html
      He IS Neil deDumba$$ Tyson.

      ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!
Neurobehavioral psychology (see the work of the late Professor Philip Teitelbaum - AKA “ The Godfather of Neurobehavioral Psychology”) will lay bare all the fallacies of our brains and by extension our sensory receptive organ functions, transmissions of those along the “wiring,” and the brain’s susceptibility for error and limitations. With that knowledge, you can pretty reasonably derive what needs to be dropped into the interstices of the gaps that maps.
Next: The three lock box of communications - language, concepts, and the recently proven hard-wiring of symbolic characters - all tied in an inseparable bundle in the brain.
This is the blessing that is the curse, for it not only can improve communications between disciplines, cultures, languages, machines, and more, but it also locks us into limitations that require the utmost efforts to by pass the limitations of these three areas as binding us from certain aspects of communication across an ocean of a few feet due to physical limitations of communications, even if we are capable of conceiving of obstacles beyond our capacities.
That we be free us from fetters of gaps of physical reliance of communications may be the final frontier of mankind’s evolution.

      ..............................................................................................
      ............................................................
The submission of man to His Creator is the essence of Islam. The name “Islam” is chosen by God (Allah) and not by man. It is the same unifying Message revealed to all the Prophets and Messengers by Allah and which they spread amongst their respective nations. In its Final form it was revealed to Muhammad (Peace & Mercy of Allah be upon him) as a complete Message to whole mankind. The Lord, Allah, is the True and Only Creator that deserves to be worshipped. No worship is worthy of being given to a stone, statue, a cross, a triangle, Khomeini, Farakhan, Eliajahs, Malcom’s X or Y, Ghandi, Krishna, Guru, Buddha, Mahatma, Emperor, Joseph Smith, Sun, Moon (not to that from Korea too!), Light, Fire, rivers, cows, Rama, Temples, Prophets, Messengers (Yes! Muslims do not worship Muhammad-peace be upon him), Saints, Priests, Monks, Movie Stars, Sheiks, etc.!!! All are created beings or things.
ALLAH, is the Name of the One True God. His Name is not chosen by man and does not have a number or gender. It is known that Allah is the Name of God in Aramaic, the language of our beloved Prophet Jesus and a sister language of Arabic. The Name “Allah” has been used by all previous Prophets starting with Adam and by the last and final Prophet, Muhammad (Peace be upon them all).
The Innate Nature in man recognizes what is good and bad, what is true and false. It recognizes that the Attributes of Allah must be True, Unique, and All-Perfect. It does not feel comfortable towards any kind of degradation of His Attributes not does it qualities to the Creator. Many who became “discontent with God” did so because of the practices of the Church in medieval Europe and because of the claims of “god dwelling in a son” and the concept of the “original sin”. However, they “escaped” into worshipping a new theory called “mother nature” as well as the “material” World. With the advancement of materialistic technology others from different religions adopted the concept of “forgetting about God” and “let us live this life and enjoy it!”, not realizing that they have chosen the worship of the “original god” of Rome: Desire!.
NOW we can see that all of this materialistic and secular progress produced a spiritual vacuum that led to complex social, economical, political, and psychological problems. Many of those who “fled” their “religions” are in search again. Some try to “escape” the complexity of their daily lives via various means. Those who had the chance to examine the Qur’an and Islam, proceed with a complete way of life that relates man to establish a purpose for his presence on earth. This is well recognized in the Attributes of Allah and what does He require from man. He does not want man to be enslaved to any false deity: nature, drugs, lust, money, other man, desire, or sex. He provides man with the proofs that He is the One who can redeem so that man can free himself from the slavery to any form of creation and to turn to his Creator Alone. THIS Creator Has Perfect Attributes. He is the First, nothing is before Him, the Ever Living. To Him is the Final Return where everyone will be dealt with in the Most Perfect and Just way. He does not begot nor He is begotten. Those who attribute Divinity to Jesus forget or ignore the fact that Jesus was in a mother’s womb. He needed nutrition; he was born and grew up to be a man. He was trusted with the Gospel as a Message to the Children of Israel: “For there is One God, and one mediator (i.e. a messenger) between God and men (the Children of Israel), the man Christ Jesus) (I Timothy 2:5). A man-messenger calling his nation not to worship him: “But in vain they do worship me!” (Mathew 15:9). A man who needs to eat, walk, sleed, rest, etc.. cannot have Divine Attributes because he is in need and God (Allah) is Self-Sufficient.
AS far as Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Marxism, and Capitalism,
there is the devotion of worshipping created being/things in one form or another. Jews had attributed a “Nationalistic” belonging to Allah. They labeled Him “The Tribal God” for the Children of Israel. Men and women following these “religions” were born with the natural inclination of submission to their Creator, Allah. It is their parents who had driven them into their respective traditions. However, once people are exposed to the Signs of Allah around them, or in the Qur’an or to someone who triggers thei Fitra (natural inclination to worship Allah Alone), the reverting process begins and that is why we see a universal spreading of Islam. In the West and despite tha many distortions of Islam in the Media, many admit that Islam may be the fastest growing Faith. No sense of fairness can be achieved without a genuine attempt to know the Word of Allah in the Qur’an and not on the 30-min-Evening News. This is the real challenge for those who seek the Truth. Man is created for a purpose: to live a life in accordance with Allah’s way. Why Not? Do we posses the air we breath? Did we create ourselves or others? Or were we ourselves the Creators? We are limited and weak. So is our right to ignore our Creator where we all need Him?
ISLAM is the submission in worship to Allah Alone and it is the essence of all the Messages sent to all nations before us. Allah is All-Just and All-Wise. He does not intend confusion for His Creation. The religion accepted to Him is the one chosen by Him. Its essence must be One, because He is One. It is free from geographical, racist, and status oriented concepts. It is Perfect and it is the complete way of life. All these qualities are chosen by Allah in His Only Religion: Islam. Its details are in in the Qur’an, read it and come with an open heart because none can expose better than the World of Allah. The Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad. He did not author it. He was unlettered. Its translation is available in many languages in bookstores or in an Islamic Center close to you. Take the time to read it and come/call the Islamic Center, or speak to someone who re-verted and submitted to Allah Alone.

Wow, so you like to listen to a person lying to you and think its wisdom.
Your agenda is all that matters.

      ..............................................................................................
      ..............................................................................

I'm glad I went with a friend who could also appreciate what a rare honor this was, and who agrees that this was three of the best days of our lives!
Fortunately I was able to download the entire conference on a CD, which will be the first thing I rescue (after my cat) if there's ever a fire :)

    • @corbeau-_-
      @corbeau-_- 3 года назад

Everything has to do with energy. It's almost as if matter knows everything will cool down... and it wants to stay warm - like all of life.
As long as the stars keep working everything will be fine; they provide heat and energy at the expense of themselves. But very slowly.
I always imagined that the big bang is part of a cycle. Maybe some black hole will suck all of the universe back. Sort of like Tyson says; we won't be there, most likely. Like we weren't there in the beginning, when matter got popped into existance by a differential in energy. That's still the problem with these physics: they work, but there's a lot of holes in them, a lot of unknowns. Like he can only theorize about the unequal division of matter and anti matter. He doesn't know why. But we are here, so something like that _must_ have happened.
They are theories, words we use to describe the unknown and often, after a 100 years, someone shows you something is off. Evolution has had a similar slow process of understanding - untill someone came along and connected the dots - like Darwin. Especially by making the focus very small (genes), you can see that it is true. Einstein and Hawkings are special in that sense because they corrected their own theories - haunted by the remaining questions (still desperately trying to find answers).
Believing in God is not that different by the way. You don't have an answer there either, you just know something has to be doing something on the background, where you can not detect it (because of our senses developed in Africa, to avoid lions). Newton also focused on something little in the background: gravity. The problem with the belief in God is that it can not be corrected - easily... Galileo and Davinci both had a very hard time doing research because of that inability to embrace correction - the one true flaw of monotheism. It found answers, but at an immense cost. Long story short, I'll accept the theories over the divine... The divine pretends to know... Science just wants answers. Even if we won't ever get to know purpose and meaning of it all (just how it came together and why).
      Curiosity killed the cat, though...

Or because it's California does that qualify as a alternate dimension in addition to the known ones where whipped cream retains different characteristics?
To drink or not to drink, lol.🤭

@@richierich1835 , what makes you think he's a liar? I'd love to see you disprove anything of what he's ever stated. There's a reason why he's a recognised figure in the world of astrophysics.

Tyson is a great popularizer of science. His insights and knowledge seem to always give me something new to ponder. Krulwich is a great journalist. I really enjoy his podcast and I find him inquisitive and entertaining. Some may not like his style, but I honestly think he's perfect for interviews with scientists.
