Impossible to get bored listening to Neil De Grasse Tyson
Storm Hawk haha agreed especially when you are up late and have to work tomorrow morning
Some people are more boring than others.
I get bored
Only frustrated. As you are processing a statement of his, meanwhile you’ve missed 4minutes of even more exciting and wonderful ideas. Haha!

I'm on more than that. I'm on a downloading binge.
Always
Me too!
I’m only 2 vids deep and this is where I land until I decide to binge out again some other time. Niels intellect and ability to compel is enough to gas me up for a while.... that background is icing on the cake.

At 9 year old -- A PASSION WAS IGNITED at Hayden's Planetarium & at 11 years of age a career for life was beginning to unfold. Thanks to the person who made this visit possible with love. I appreciate your dedication Dr Tyson.
I'm sorry, but I don't care who doesn't like him, or disagrees with him, but he, hands down, made every second of this talk and most talks that he gives entertaining. There are many scientists out there, and reputable scientist who give lectures in their respective fields, but they don't capture the ears of those who are less literate scientifically like Neil does. I believe it's because of his delivery which is filled with passion, and if it's all an act like some people say, it's a good act, and worthy of many listening ears.
I like Krauss also, and Filipenko and Michio kakchio.

His simplicity combined with his intelligence makes Dr Tyson one of the most brilliant scientists of this era.
ummmm. NO!
Rajit Roy oh yeah, I'm sorry. Maybe you're the one
LEO FACHIN I didn't mean that...Just that NdGT is a good at making people aware of Science but he is not a good scientist and have not discovered anything like Carl Sagan or Richard Feynman .
Rajit Roy good point.
Two points on that Rajit Roy
- there are lots and lots of broadly defined scientists, not everybody in science is going to be on Feynman level.
- communicating science to a broad widely unscientific public is as important as ever. This cannot be stressed enough - we need to inspire young people to go into STEM and to general public to be at least more aware of how science operates and what is going on (because general public can then push on the government, and young inspired people may be part of it later). This Tyson is trying to do with his charisma and intelligence, and it is as important as any research.
She is such a good presentator oh my God. I loved how well she delivered the intro, she deserves some recognition.
Literally he can completely ramble off and jump right back to what he is talking about no matter how long he spent off topic, it's literally incredible.
Every Niel lecture I've listened to,I never learn the same thing and always continue to enhance my vocabulary through his intelligent words. Thanks Dr. Tyson.
This guy is the reason I majored in astronomy
keep at it..
Tyson is a world treasure. Humanity is maybe just a bit better now because of his work and a lot, exponentially, as time passes. So happy to be contemporary to him.
Tyson is a source of misinformation. Bad science, wrong math, and false history.
I am watching this once every 2-3 months.
You can tell that Neil LOVES science. So much energy. Keep up the great scientific work Neil.
If all teachers were as passionate about their subject as Neil DeGrasse Tyson is, there would never again be school dropouts.
He has a rare combination of high intelligence, a magnetic personality, effortless speaking skills and quick wit. Superb.
14:54 I wish we still explained scientific principles like this. I am 34 years old and for the first time in my life feel like I have a realistic grasp of how orbiting works.

I also think his talk demonstrates how important history really is and how learning from our history will perpetuate greatness for humankind...
What I love about this guy is he said "It's free to come in..." and he passionately spews his enriched knowledge guts for us and them alike to all learn from. Free! His education wasn't free but his love for educating has no value.
“When you’re in love you’ve got to tell the world.” ✨That spoke to me.

Great Speaker... Always enjoy listening him...

Gotta love that guy! He really reaches out for everyone.
But he kept one guy hanging
Impossible to get bored listening to Neil De Grasse Tyson
It is nothing short of breathless that I can sit at home on a Saturday evening, forget about the mundane problems, and just have the privilege of listening to such a delightful lecture.
Regardless of what religion you profess, or what you decide to do with your life day to day, I hope you realize just how lucky you are that you have a device in front of you that is delivering the notions of that man to your brain.
So much of what Tyson says is misinformation. His stories regarding Newton and Ghazali are addled nonsense.
I love this guy... He is in a level of his own: how could he mention so many topics at once and still being able of explain very complex topics to everyone on that room... He really inspired me to keep studying and looking at the night sky. 👏👏👏👏👏👌👌
He's very much a true teacher. Every teacher knows their routines. You need to have topics you can elaborate for hours on and on so that you can keep the audience interested in you until class is over. He nails it.
@@pedroakjr2371 WHAT IS THE EXPLANATION OF SPACE AND TIME ON BALANCE:
Invisible AND VISIBLE SPACE in fundamental equilibrium AND BALANCE. This necessarily and clearly involves interaction, on balance. Consider what is the eye (on balance). Logically consider what is a two dimensional surface OR SPACE ON BALANCE !!!! Notice the associated DOME AND black “space” of what is the eye as well. Really think about it all. Consider WHAT IS THE SUN ON BALANCE. (NOW, think about time.) Outer “space” involves full inertia, AND it is fully invisible AND black. Consider one and three dimensions ON BALANCE !!! Now, consider what is the fourth dimension and the term c4 from Einstein's field equations. Think about ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy AND think about gravity (ON/IN BALANCE). Consider what is the man (AND THE EYE ON BALANCE) who IS actually standing ON what is THE EARTH/ground (ON BALANCE) !! Think about TIME !! Think about why there is something instead of nothing ON BALANCE. Consider that time is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE. Think about the man (THE EYE) that actually IS IN what is outer “space”. Think about time. The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky ON BALANCE, and consider what is the speed of light (c) ON BALANCE. NOW, consider what is THE SUN. Think closely about everything in this writing. Balance and completeness go hand in hand. Magnificent. ❤️

I could have a conversation with that guy throughout my life and still never end
OH!! i would give anyhting to be in a lecture of his,i am having goosebumps just listening to him in a RUclips video. I have so many questions that i would like to ask him. In all my school years the things i learned about Newton, light, gravity, electromagnetism, matter, antimatter suddenly makes so much more sense when he describes it, it all falls in a row showing that these are all connected by the laws of physics. If i had a single science teacher who is as inspiring as him, i would have perused a life of science. Tyson is my Hero !!!
Dr. Tyson has that whole room in the palm of his hand. Very knowledgeable and charismatic. And the way he answered the "Earth girl's" question by educating everyone on NASA's budget then giving her the dollar was a real Mic Drop! Very cool.
49:44 In his entire life this guy prepared for this moment.
Having Neil deGrasse Tyson as your proffesor would be the best thing ever!
This man is a wizard with words.
The subjects of Science and Space are of interest to me as it is the case for all of you, but in a span of one week if I were to watch 10 clips about such subjects, 9 of them would be engaged by Neil. He is truly a joy to watch and listen to.
Maybe I'll just say Hi to be a part of this video to which I keep coming back to watch over and over again:")
Could listen to this genius for ever. Like the way in which he explains what I consider to be complex issues, so that I can increase my scant understanding of the natural world and beyond. His humor and passion for his subject is infectious. Not only is he a genius but is an excellent communicator of his subjects. Wish I had a tiniest fraction of his intelligence. Thank you Mr Tyson for all of your work. 🙂☘️🌲
The first question he answers...when he is talking about the cannonball going into an orbit, that is genius in its simplicity. Everyone needs to hear this man speak!
I don't know anything about astrology but Neil has a crazy good skill of teaching, he made someone like me able to atleast follow and still have interest in something other teachers would have failed and had me falling asleep.

In nine years from this video, we have a picture of a blac khole... amazing how time flies but science always finds a way to fly faster!
Bronwin Draney They emit heat.
@@joeshmoe6908 Heat is electromagnetic waves in the infrared wavelength. Light is also electromagnetic waves but in the wavelengths that our eyes can detect. If black holes have such a strong gravitational force, that even light can't escape, that means that infrared waves can't escape either.
@Bronwin - You may not be able to see a black hole but matter spinning around a black hole in the accretion disk gets incredibly hot due to friction, and that creates radiation that can be observed. So while you may not be able to actually observe the black hole itself you will be able to observe where the black hole resides.

He makes me wanna switch my major from applied physics to astrophysics
Elon Musk does applied physics. He invents, makes things, builds factories, creates jobs.
All Tyson does is collect a salary for standing up and regurgitates theoretical cosmology. NONE of which is proved.
Such as, believing that comets are dirty snowballs but when they did applied physics and sent spacecraft to comets, they found out that they were rocky bodies, except that they discharged plasma as they got near the Sun.
