For those who don't know how to chain fish, first you'll want to catch a gulpin on route 110, and make sure he has sticky hold, this ensure a catch 100% of the time when you cast your rod (only when he's first in party but no worries, even if he faints it still works) and ofc you'll need a rod, now chain fishing can only be done standing in the same spot fishing, you can not move, fly or use the eon flute due to the fact it'll ruin that chain of yours, chains take a while but for every cast the chance for a shiny is closer, you'll need to do on average 40 casts. Happy chain fishing peeps
If you go farther south on the same river, you can find a rock. Fish around there during the night and you will also have 100% chance of fishing a feebas.
BROOOO YOU JUST CHANGED MY LIFE . today was my first catching my first shiny EVER . it took about a search level of 149 . it took me about 4 attempts . on the 4th I got it on the 4th chain ... this video helped so much , PROPS MAN .
I can't believe my luck... I just make a 125 chain until I fail... But I dont give up and then make a 159 chain... Until I fail again. They must have forgotten to put shinys on my game...
I just got it! After several attempts with the old rod (four chains of 100+), I went to get the good rod, and I got it in the 46 try. Maybe it was coincidence, but I think the better is the rod, the higher the odds.
Can confirm 100%. Need to make sure you're under the bridge during the day, and also have a pokemon with suction cups ability in first slot. I just got the root fossil, and resurrected the lileep which has that ability. I then let lileep faint in battle but kept it in first slot because it's ability will still work which ensures you get a catch with every rod cast because if nothing bites your chain is broken. Then I put my level 50 blaziken in 2nd slot. Go under the bridge and fish away. I used an old rod but it shouldn't matter. Just keep fishing and you run away each time until you get your shiny, running from battle doesn't break chain. After 24 casts I got shiny feebas and just used a quick ball to capture. Happy hunting fellow trainers!
This technique definitely works!! Yesterday I spent around 30 minutes doing this and I met a shiny Feebas and a shiny Carvanha. Apart from those (which I obviously captured) I have a shiny Seviper, and somehow I feel the snake is more "rare" and "epic" to me because it was totally unexpected, while walking at night near the outside part of Meteor Falls.
I just want to add, sticky hold doesn’t guarantee you will get a bite. It just greatly increases chance. Thanks for the video. After many broken chains, I got a bad natured shiny feebas after 127 encounters. On the 8th catch of the chain. Now I will be trying again for a different nature. I’m ok even with neutral lol. Yes I am playing in 2023. Memories 😅
This guide was really helpful! Caught a shiny Feebas in a little over 30 minutes on a continuous chain. Thanks a bunch and have patience shiny hunters!
I got to a chain of about 100 and then accidentally reeled too slow. I was playing lionheart by afrojack and got distracted. so I attempted a few more times before the song was over and got my shiny in the next 3 tries. i was playing the same song when I found my feebas tile in emerald a few months too! I guess it's safe to say my milotics name will surely be named after the song :)
You only get Feebas under the bridge DURING THE DAY. At night, fish next to the rock that is at the lower end of the route. Just in case some of you are doing it at night and not getting Feebas. So remember, daytime- fish under the bridge. Nighttime- fish next to the rock. Here's a link to help even more. www.serebii.net/omegarubyalphasapphire/feebas.shtml
ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: YOU HAVE TO BE IN THE VERY CENTER (LENGTH-WISE) OR YOU WON'T CATCH FEEBAS. MAKE SURE THE FISHING LINE IS RUNNING PARALLEL TO THE BRIDGE AND IS DEAD CENTER.
I've bred two already. One with a horrible nature, and one perfect one. But since Milotic is in my top 5 all time favorites I'm going to go for a whole box of them!!! Yhanks for uploading this, I'm subscribing.
Not sure if its true, but I remember reading about feebas and bridges in a book long ago back in the original ruby and sapphire days, so maybe this same spot does the same thing in the original games.
It's not the whole bridge, in the original gen3 games there was only 6 tiles that could produce a Feebas, and the tiles would randomly change every so often. Needless to say, it was a lot harder to get one, let alone a shiny one.
Ah ok, so somewhat correct. I didn't really start playing the games till gen 4, and almost missed ruby and sapphire entirely if it weren't for the fact i bought a bad copy of Sapphire that couldn't save.
By the way, little tip for those with slow reaction times. Close your eyes when chain fishing for feebas and turn the game volume right up. Its easier to react to the sound rather than visually see the !
chaining is so tough when you dont have suction cups :T it keeps breaking the chain by nothing biting, asfgh, I chainedd a good few shinies in X via fishing. So I know it works, im just unprepared.
yeah I think so. Its not like it matters since you will probably only use it when you run into a shiny and want to weaken it, usually i dont bother and just have lots of ultra balls at the ready.
Sticky Hold helps if you want an Anorith fossil instead of Lileep, The Sticky/Suction pokemon needs to be in the first slot of your party, but its a good idea to give it a smoke ball or poke toy and just run from the battle after you fish the pokemon. Once you do encounter a shiny, just switch in your false swiper, sporer *cough Breloom* or just start chucking pokeballs at it.
I was worried this was going to be one of those things that don't really work in real life, but god damn, my chain lasted 26 Feebas, and on the 27th, I got my shiny. This is the best thing ever.
Me too...I got up to 70 and stopped counting and then I realized that it said "nothing seems to be biting", which is weird I've never had that happen while Inkay is first in my party. :(
+FlagFTW any pokemon with the ability suction cups greatly increases your chances of never missing a bite when you fish, I use Inkay and sometimes I will still miss a bite. I also use the super rod , but I have used the old rod with this method to catch shiny Tentacool and shiny Magikarp, and the good rod to catch shiny Remoraid :) Good luck!!!
Thank you for explaining how to get one (I didn't know know I had to be under the bridge so I could only find sharpedo and carvanha). Yesterday I did a long chain and nothing, but today I caught a shiny feebas IN THE SECOND TIME (2chain).
This really works, but you have to be patient! I caught my first shiny feebas on my 127th chain. Prior to that I had no luck, my highest chain being 83 among countless 50 chains. I just kept trying. I also got my shiny feebas during rain, so rain doesn't matter!
I caught 3 shiny Feebas using this method! (I caught all 3 in 1 day) the first one took about an hour, but it was male! I wanted a female. So I kept trying. About 45 minutes after the first shiny I hit another shiny Feebas! But again, a male. I was so annoyed. So I decided to try one more time and not even 20 minutes after I got my 2nd male shiny I got another shiny Feebas! But this one was female! Modest nature. I was so happy to say the least. Just some tips from me - Just keep going. Even if you mess up your chain, just keep going. I messed up my chains so many times. It's all about patience. I used the old rod for all 3. I do have the shiny charm. You can do this at day or night. During the day you must be under the bridge though. At night, go do it by the lone rock. You are guaranteed Feebas there at night. I got my 1st Feebas under the bridge during the day and my last two at night by the lone rock. If you are wanting a certain nature or gender, don't give up! I had to find 2 shiny males before I finally got my female!
Funny Feebas story: I was chain fishing for a shiny Feebas, and while I did break my chain a few times, I got EXTREMELY lucky and got a shiny Feebas on my 10th consecutive fish. I showed it to my brother, and he was SUPER jealous, so I thought I'd be nice and catch him a shiny Feebas on his OR game while he was busy. I broke my chain SEVERAL times on that game, and only managed to find a Shiny on my 76th consecutive fish. But I found it, and caught it for him. I told him to consider it as his birthday present :)
Yes in chain fishing you can choose to run away or kill/catch it and your chain will continue. If you're using the pokeradar to chain though, you'll need to kill/catch it because running away will end your chain while using the radar. If you're going for the Feebas you'll be chain fishing, so you can go ahead and just run all you want.
thanks for this tutorial, very helpful! I'm just curious though, how come you wanted a female feebas? do they have a special ability or better stats or something?
I like how you didn't get exited 😂😂😂 beside that thank you for showing this video I have been doing this for hour's on trying get a feebas and this video helped a lot thank you again
The other thing you need to do is have a pokemon with the suction cup ability in your party. That way youre always guaranteed to catch something, which doesn't break your shiny chain. Hence the fact he has malamar in his party.
Thanks for the information! Got a shiny feebas on a 66 chain after about 3 or 4 60+ chains broken. I see some people discussing if it works in the rain and I can confirm that it does and just for some extra information I haven't beaten the elite 4 yet, I have 6 badges.
If your streak breaks, and you just start fishing in the same spot, does that change anything? Because I'm on almost my 50th Feebas after a break, and no shiny yet.
He literally explained in in the beginning of the video. No matter what tile you fish on there is a 5% (1/20) chance of getting a Feebas. But if you fish under the bridge during the day or by the rock near shore at night, you will only reel in Feebas.
I know it's so easy now, it's not even special anymore 😐. I remember how it took me 2-4 hours searching for feebas in ruby and realized that I don't have any berries left...
I was chain fishing for feebas while I was watching this and literally right as you encountered a shiny I did too and it was only on my 5th chain. My first ORAS shiny
*or something with Suction Cups, such as the Malamar being used in the video
Just got mine on a chain of 28...was male so i punched him in the face...want a shiny female
By chain does it mean like I can’t miss the rod or what because I’m at 300 encounters
@@theunknown3650 yeah u can’t miss the rod
@@neico.5496sometimes the rod is bs tho.
Another tip: Use old rods. The better the rod is, the faster your reaction time must be. Using an old rod lessens the need for a fast reaction.
oh Thanks! I have terrible reaction time. Its no wonder i lose at mario party games xD
TheShadytoad i Read that in Toads voice... Priceless.
I'd like to call bs on that. the old rod doesn't give you any more time. if it really does then it;s not noticeable.
yes I have, that's how I know.
Flame wars be slowly igniting. Errbody save urselves
ugh. of course it's nighttime when I discover this
If you go farther south on the same river, you can find a rock. Fish around there during the night and you will also have 100% chance of fishing a feebas.
AppocalypseKitty117 that was the same for me but i just changed the time on my ds

Jason Rodriguez Its just coincidence. I got mine with an old rod at a chain of 4.
Jason Rodriguez Y el trofeo a la persistencia va otorgado a....
It's not complicated at all.
Congratulations for your perseverance.
Milotic it's a beautiful shiny pokemon.
I got the mine breeding a bit, jaja.

What about if it’s not day time how do I make it day time

I got a shiny Feebas on a chain of 2 without the shiny charm. What are the chances of that?
+Vel_Pex Woah....
less than that
Seriously, the chances are at least in the thousands.
+Wolfqueen6 I got it on a chain of 5. lol
Uh...........HOW DID YOU?

2024 and ima use suction cups inkay i got from pkmn y - about to get on the plane hopefully ill have a new shiny when i get off!
I hope you do too! Safe travels. I ended up getting 3 or 4 shinies .. all with bad natures. It was incredible 😂
This guide was really helpful! Caught a shiny Feebas in a little over 30 minutes on a continuous chain. Thanks a bunch and have patience shiny hunters!
What I like doing is catching a shiny Feebas, evolving into Milotic, then trading on GTS for the legendaries that I'm missing cause it works,
I love chain fishing. It's literally my only way of getting shinies because I'm crap at the other methods XD
takes for ever With the other Methods so yes
Wolfqueen6 Horde hunting is a really easy method.
Wolfqueen6 soooo relatable
I got half or more of my shinys from fcing

I got to a chain of about 100 and then accidentally reeled too slow. Wasn't even paying attention and just caught mine in a chain of less then 15. *Enthusiastic Applause* Thank you KangasKid.
I found one today with a chain of 12, and I haven't found a legit shiny since diamond and pearl! Thanks!
It was with a good rod for anyone wondering, my only luck in Pokemon...ever
I found my only two legit shinies in HG and it wasn't a Reg Garyados. They were a tentacool and a ratata.
+hereonly2comment thank youuuuuuu

caught 2 shinies back to back thanks to this video. took less than a half an hour as well =)
Great video! I actually used the dexnav after catching my first one under the bridge and found a shiny female feebas with dragonbreath and 2 stars!
gbrllira you are soooo lucky
OBJECTION! FEEBAS CANT LEARN DRAGONBREATH BIT MIOLOTIC CAN... JUST LIKE GYRADOS AND MAGIKARP WITH TMS

Feebas can have dragon breath and other egg moves by breeding...

And now I got a male too!
why do you want a female
I don't. I want a male and i got one now.
Rick Koning i got a female just now
Bambamman909 Okay good

Works! Took me around 10mins to find one
FierceNinja not bragging but my average is 4.6 minutes
I used you strat and it worked! It only took me 42 tries for a shiny Feebas. Thanks!
Got my shiny with a chain of only 15! Thank you so much :)
I saw this video, and I tried this method, and it didn't work like yours...
I got the shiny Feebas on first try. Thank you so much KangasKid18. :)
that moment when you find a sharpedo under the bridge
Was it at night? The bridge trick only works during the day. At night you have to fish by the rock.
+Evnyofdeath at 12pm
One of the easiest shinies I've ever gotten. Thank you!
i sat there and counted the chain. i got it on my 69th feebas. yes, 69.
lol
nice
nice
nice
You did name it 69 right?
Thank you for this video, not only did I catch 3 between now and last night, the last I caught is a female bold natured with swift swim 👌
at night the southern part of 119 has a lone rock you can fish by with the same effect. all feebas
I can't find the rock, help?
+GoldenCuber55 start from the route east of mauville and surf north
Man i gotta say thank you so much for making this video! I finally got to doing this hunt today and got it!
I didn't know bass was pronounced buss XD

these tiles produce Carvanha for me... XD
Same
only in the day
Yeah you have to be there from 4:00 AM to 5:59 PM
Happiest person in the world now!! I caught female shiny feebas for 94 fc. tx bro.
Anyone else annoyed by how he says feebas? "fee-bus" LOL
How are you supposed to say it?
+Holly Boreham Fee-bASS. Ass. Not uss.
Tim schroder haha, ass
Holly Boreham
oh my god lol
*we* pronounce it like "feebus", lol. :D
(russian speaker.)
I tried 60 times, and began to reconsider living...
chaining is so tough when you dont have suction cups :T it keeps breaking the chain by nothing biting, asfgh, I chainedd a good few shinies in X via fishing. So I know it works, im just unprepared.
Get a Grimer or Gulpin with sticky hold, it has the same effect for fishing.
If you get a Lileep then you solve the problem :)
Smashfan258 it needs to be in the top spot of my team???
yeah I think so.
Thanks for making this video!!! It really works but it has to be during the day. Anyway thanks again!!!!
I did this and got carvahna
Never mind I was fishing in the wrong spot
Taturz Tots Carvanha is still good I'm raging over the fact that it will take ages to get because I've only done three gyms XD
I was worried this was going to be one of those things that don't really work in real life, but god damn, my chain lasted 26 Feebas, and on the 27th, I got my shiny. This is the best thing ever.
I got to 92 and broke my chain 😭
Me too...I got up to 70 and stopped counting and then I realized that it said "nothing seems to be biting", which is weird I've never had that happen while Inkay is first in my party. :(

+Noob Dungeon plz tell me
+FlagFTW any pokemon with the ability suction cups greatly increases your chances of never missing a bite when you fish, I use Inkay and sometimes I will still miss a bite. +Noob Dungeon can i have your friend code plz
omg it works! i try it with good rod. didn't get one during the 30th chain but caught it on the 36th!! female level 25 :D THANK YOU SO MUCH
And look at that it's a fetus
Thank you for explaining how to get one (I didn't know know I had to be under the bridge so I could only find sharpedo and carvanha). Yesterday I did a long chain and nothing, but today I caught a shiny feebas IN THE SECOND TIME (2chain).
This really works, but you have to be patient! I caught my first shiny feebas on my 127th chain. Prior to that I had no luck, my highest chain being 83 among countless 50 chains. I just kept trying. I also got my shiny feebas during rain, so rain doesn't matter!
Dude, you’re a genius! I did that last year and it worked!
thank you so much for this! Got one in 5 minutes while constantly breaking chains :3
Dude, You are awesome, i just got a shiny feebas after a chain of 16. Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing this. Now I got a shiny feebas for myself.
Good luck!
I caught 3 shiny Feebas using this method! (I caught all 3 in 1 day)
the first one took about an hour, but it was male! I wanted a female.
So I kept trying. About 45 minutes after the first shiny I hit another
shiny Feebas! But again, a male. I was so annoyed. So I decided to try
one more time and not even 20 minutes after I got my 2nd male shiny I
got another shiny Feebas! But this one was female! Modest nature. I
was so happy to say the least. Just some tips from me - Just keep
going. Even if you mess up your chain, just keep going. I messed up my
chains so many times. It's all about patience. I used the old rod for
all 3. I do have the shiny charm. You can do this at day or night.
During the day you must be under the bridge though. At night, go do it
by the lone rock. You are guaranteed Feebas there at night. I got my
1st Feebas under the bridge during the day and my last two at night by
the lone rock. If you are wanting a certain nature or gender, don't
give up! I had to find 2 shiny males before I finally got my female!
Wait I’ve never heard of this. This is insane! Thank you
Funny Feebas story: I was chain fishing for a shiny Feebas, and while I did break my chain a few times, I got EXTREMELY lucky and got a shiny Feebas on my 10th consecutive fish. I really do be here at midnight tryna find out how to get a purple fish in a game from multiple years ago
How do you chain? Do you just encounter the pokemon and run away and keep repeating?
Yes in chain fishing you can choose to run away or kill/catch it and your chain will continue. If you're using the pokeradar to chain though, you'll need to kill/catch it because running away will end your chain while using the radar. If you're going for the Feebas you'll be chain fishing, so you can go ahead and just run all you want.
Thanks heaps for the help man worked perfect with a broken chain of 6 I started again and got it the second in the new chain!
Tips: IF You have a pokemon with suction cups Its much easier
Tips: IF You have a low level pokemon with suction cups give IT a smoke ball :D
thanks for this tutorial, very helpful! I'm just curious though, how come you wanted a female feebas? do they have a special ability or better stats or something?
the recommendation algorithm is a wonderful thing
Who else jerks up when they hear the that sound when you have a pokemon on your line
I like how you didn't get exited 😂😂😂 beside that thank you for showing this video I have been doing this for hour's on trying get a feebas and this video helped a lot thank you again
This works. Used old rod. Even broke chain by not hitting a in time and no pokemon coming up a couple times. Id say took around 40 trys.
Thank you for making this video!! It actually works!
The other thing you need to do is have a pokemon with the suction cup ability in your party. That way youre always guaranteed to catch something, which doesn't break your shiny chain. Hence the fact he has malamar in his party.
Thanks so much mate just started chaining for shinys
107 chain, then it broke, still no shiny feebas, I envy this video.
This also works while its raining, just tested a min ago and chaining feebas non stop
Can confirm.
I can also confirm!
10/10 would confirm again
I keep getting Carvanhas and Sharpedos. How do you keep them biting? Mine stops a lot.
Get a Pokémon with Suction Cups or Sticky Hold, like Gulpin or Octillery. It doesn’t matter if it’s fainted or not as well. Happy Hunting!
Is it better to use and old rod or super rod and does the chain break if nothing bites your line or if you reel it in to slow
Holy shizzle it worked
Only 16 encounters!:D
I like the normal feebas, it's got all my favourite colors. But i still love your video :3
haha I was counting the encounters through the fast forward, very nice tip.
Thanks man you helped me get a shiny feebas!!
Thank you so much! Because of this video I JUST CAUGHT ONE! :DD
Do you have to have a pokemon with suction cups as an ability? Or it doesn't matter?
do u need a certain pokemon or item and can u use the dex nav and whats (blank) thirthy is it search level 30
Thanks for the information! Got a shiny feebas on a 66 chain after about 3 or 4 60+ chains broken. I see some people discussing if it works in the rain and I can confirm that it does and just for some extra information I haven't beaten the elite 4 yet, I have 6 badges.
How do you chainfishing? Is it just fishing then hook, then run and repeat process?
Thanks a lot,I caught a Shiny Tentacool at night there with 21 chain !!!
Thanks!!! I've been trying to find a Feebas.
I'll go fish a shiny Feebas after getting a shiny Cresselia.
do you need to have beaten the elite four? cause I haven't yet and I got to a chain of 120+ and had no shiny feebas
on route 119, im fishing for carvannah but sharpedo appears sometimes so does that break the chain ?
If your streak breaks, and you just start fishing in the same spot, does that change anything? Because I'm on almost my 50th Feebas after a break, and no shiny yet.
What rod are you using? I'm sitting here with my super rod and I keep getting Sharpedo.
Welp, I started chaining along with this video and ended up finding a shiny at the exact same time he did. Weird, but awesome!
Literally my first cast was a Feebas, did they change something from Gen 3? I remember it being so much harder.
I remember how it took me 2-4 hours searching for feebas in ruby and realized that I don't have any berries left...
i got a nothing seems to be biting with my suction cup pokemon at daytime pls explain
this happened 2 more times in different spots under the bridge at 40+ chains
Thanks man, my girlfriend needed this info :) thumbs up
You have a cool girlfriend
does the chain break if the shiny has been caught or killed?
What are you using to record? Cuz it looks good for a non 3ds recorder
Nice video! What kind of camera do you use ?
I've literally just found one on a chain of 6 ha! Awesome thanks
Can you find this with a good rod or do you need a super rod?
thank you so much for this. i just caught my first shiny doing this
I was chain fishing for feebas while I was watching this and literally right as you encountered a shiny I did too and it was only on my 5th chain. My first ORAS shiny
Shiny Feebas looks great! I will be hunting for it. :)
what if you dont capture andthing with the rod? does the chain stop/break?
