18:00 Glad you stopped smearing orange with the brush when you got into the bush. Nice piece! Please do one outside. Nice studio. Very well kept. Clear mind.
Wowwww.. m blown away after seeing these techniques!🤯 Both r intresting on their own.. first one having a very joyful n summer vibe, second painting giving me a creepy feeling like m looking into a blurry photo from a past clicked during thunderstorm! 👏👏💖

I never knew the possibilities of oil pastels...I do own an expensive kit..."S", very soft, and only use them for blocking in. You have taught me the ways to use them for a full piece of work! BAM! Thank you!

I'm in that situation too. Looking to break out of it by watching this lady work. I think my problem is that I have looked at the world as an engineer for so long that I can't convert to an alternative creativity.
I found your channel for the first time today. I feel oil pastel is such a great medium but most people don't understand, and oil pastel artists are not very common as well. It feels so nice to have found someone who uses oil pastel and shows such nice techniques. My style of oil pastel drawing is lot different to yours, that is I make realistic and hyper Realistic oil pastel drawings..so my techniques has some variations....feel free to check them...and thank you so much for sharing your Art and technique. New subscriber here...your Art is very peaceful..my friend ☺️❤️🤗
Lovely to watch, listen and learn! Will be getting a set of soft pastel soon. Could you please share how you varnish or persist the paintings, I do hop homes and worried how will I carry the unframed? Do they ever dry? A video on that would be super awesome.
Thank you! I use Sennelier fixative to prevent getting dust or smudges. after 2-3 coats your drawing should be ready to be framed☺️ and I always frame it with a spacer so that the pigments won't stick to the glass :)
I loooooove how both paintings turned out! You're amazing as always Misako 🥰 I should definitely try oil pastels!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 even if it scares me a lot 🥹😢🙃
At 17:17, are you dipping your paintbrush in the linseed oil that I see in your video description? I have used alcohol before but this looks thicker and it did not obliterate the mark making like alcohol. Were the layers underneath sprayed with (workable?) fixative before you painted with the brush or only afterward? Would your ruler scraping have had the same effect if you had not painted over sections in what I am assuming to be the dipped oil, touched to the pastel tip? Thank you! Love the video and the work. Stunning!
First of all, I love your channel's aesthetics and mood. It captures quite well the fun and joy side of doing art, something that I sometimes miss with my own work and studies. I want to ask you how you learnt pastel and if you could recommend any resources for beginners. Cheers!
