Almost got the prononciation right with the Église Ste-Sophie... soooo close! ;-) Et comme on dit en français: "Joyeux Noël" et "Bonne Année 2023"!!! From Québec, Canada! And kudoos to you Melissa for working in improving your French! 🙂 From your almost related sister from Ireland!!! 🙂
Melissa you are positively beaming! So fun to see the city I grew up in through your eyes. And boy can you rock a beret! Happy New Year to you and Chris!
Great to see you guys enjoying yourselves! But, it is odd to think of Christmas without snow. It was -47C (-53F) where I am on Christmas, so too cold to snow, but there is lots around from when it was warmer. France French is different from Quebec French, which I am sure you are finding. To me, French from France sounds weird, but it is easier to understand!
Too bad the American chestnut has pretty much gone extinct due to the blight. I hear they were absolutely fantastic. But dear God all that food looked amazing.

Oh wow! That is super cold ! Happy Holidays to you!
Was kinda hoping because the setting looked surreal that during Christmas mass they'd break into a few tunes from Phantom of the Opera?
:D
