  • After a quick pitstop in Tirana where me and Pablo met, we decided to head south in search for a bit of costal January sun. Originally attracted by a cool monastery we went right to the coast however something much more attractive was lying before us...

Interesting, as usual, but in a unique way. Pablo is right about the purpose of the aircraft and ship drawings. The Albanian lettering above the tunnel of the first large bunker said "The Recognition Class of Foreign Armies Here," according to Google Translate. I looked up photos of the 13-th-century monastery. I prefer its beautiful Romanesque architecture to the bunkers. 🙂

If you build today one like this with all iron , concrete and labor work could cost from 7000€-10,000€ so albania build about 700,000 bunkers and is most protected place both with Swiss in bunker protection in Europe !
Albania plan was to protect 3.2 milion people so probably to much work done despite the bunkers never used 🎉
