On the road.
Two Friends Tried Climbing Spain's 2nd Tallest Mountain
As I was folding towels in my place of work an idea suddenly came to mind. Why don't me and Camilo go to the south of Spain... Andalucía, where the accent is so strong that no foreigner can understand what they are saying. I skipped that challenge, let Camilo do the talking and planned an adventure up to the highest point of the Spanish Peninsular, El Mulhacen. We had many problems along the way. Everything from food, cows and communication issues. Did we get to the top in once piece?

On our last day we decided to get the train up out of the valley and onto the mountains where the Swiss gods protected me from sliding all the way down the mountain. Well, the Swiss gods or the net.

What do you do when you have 4 days off from work? Sometimes I chill, go to the gym or grab a drink but this time I said "Mum, how about a short but sweet trip? We can start in Innsbruck and make our way through Switzerland seeing some of the most beautiful places?". She accepted my offer and off we went trying not to run out of money on the first day.

Sorry , I don’t understand 😢
Es verdad. Así podemos hacer un vídeo en UK de Camilo hablando con la gente aquí
Wooow what an amazing trip🤙🏽
Are you coming with us to do the next mountain?
Love you Onur ❤
What an amazing video! Who would have thought that the highest point in continental Spain isn't in the Pyrenees? I especially liked the fast-flowing streams on the mountain. Thanks to both you and Camilo. Why the change in your channel name?
The mountain posses a world and ecosystem of Its own:) I thought that the new name was more exciting haha
@@Mikedoesntfly ...but you DO fly!
No I don't. The pilot does
I would watch a whole series of Camilo trying to get around cows
You never have to worry about cows wearing bells. They're quite civilized.
Era una Vaca muy grande y estaba en la Mitad del camino . Mirándonos
I thought "someone would have had to put that bell on them".. deep down I was also quite worried HAHAA
The pronunciation of Zaragoza was insane bro!! Great to see you’re still alive 😂 Vamosss!!!
You can't go to Zaragoza without pronouncing it right ahah! It's criminal
@@Mikedoesntfly I live in Texas, USA, but not far from a Mexican city called Zaragoza. That is exactly how it's pronounced there and how I would pronounce it, having studied Spanish one summer in Mexico.
That's good news for you then watching this video because I'm too lazy to put on subtitles HAHA
@@Mikedoesntfly There's always RUclips closed captioning, which rendered it "Saragosa."

I don't have any social media but you're more than welcome to ask here
@@Mikedoesntfly did you use any tour companies in Tbilisi Yerevan Baku etc for day trips? If so do you recommend them

I travelled to Albania 🇦🇱 alone, flying from Birmingham to Tirana. I rented a car and drove from Tirana to Shkodër, and from Shkodër to Durrës.. The people that I could have a basic conversation with were friendly, I learned basic Albanian before arriving, which helped. I ran through these areas and although it looked rough, I had no problems. Would recommend Albania based on my own experience, just be respectful and street smart ❤
I agree, Albania is somewhere I'd return to without a doubt. There are a few nice places in the south I never got to explore
ngl it looks mad depressing there
It’s 100x nicer when it’s sunny lol
That's because it's rainy
Looks lovely! I've always wanted to visit Switzerland. When was this?
March mate
Most of them are in the UK now scamming people.
Bruh I live in England and haven't seen one
I have visited Tallinn twice. Such an amazing city. Old town is magical. I intend to go back next year as I haven't visit the Soviet Prison. Getting the ferry to Helsinki was a fun experience. 🇳🇿🇪🇪
Are you from NZ? It is a cute city. Feels like a town, it's one of the places I'd go back to without a doubt

@@Mikedoesntfly Its good mate! Slow like rural UK 30 or 40 years ago, in many ways. I enjoyed your video that I recently rewatched, struck a chord with me. I too have struggled with trying to communicate with my rudimentary and rusty Russian (lack of) skills
@@seanridgewell3703 Which video struck a chord with you? If you live in Bulgaria why have you been learning Russian? I guess you're learning Bulgarian too?
All right, Mike... We your "people" now have proof that you don't have to go to Azerbaijan, Spain, Albania, or Finland to make engaging travelog videos. I love your videos, but I did feel for you as you couldn't find lodgings and realized that you'd be sleeping in your car. Climbing the highest mountains in Wales, England, and Scotland in three days is amazing, and all in fog and mist! As an American, that seems as exotic to me as some of the lesser-known places that you've been. Those were beautiful drives through the countrysides. I know that these productions are work, and I want you to know how much your "people" appreciate both them and you. ☺
Very kind Mike, thanks. I always knew that the British countryside is brilliant and unique but I never thought about fog being exotic. If you like fog, mist and grey things I should post a video everyday from England and you might catch a glimpse of something boring only once or twice a year, like the sun HAHA. Thanks though! Hopefully I can show some more of the UK one time soon
@@Mikedoesntfly Climbing the three highest mountains in three days is what I found exotic, not the fog and mist. I could have explained it better. 🙃
@@MikeV8652 Ahah lots of people do it within 24 hours. It's a challenge so you can find that on youtube too

Only alcoholics drink rakia only. To enjoy it the most, you need a salad - a sip of rakia, a bite of the salad (tomato, cucumber, or any other). Some put ice in it, but yours was already cold from the well. In addition, you might have a non alcoholic drink to compensate if the rakia is too strong (over 40deg.) - the homemade one is usually 50-60 deg.
I would love a few slices of cucumber with rakia you're so right
