This show is, for sure, underrated. I really don't understand the hate for this show and character. I can definitely see her coming back for more Marvel Spotlight projects. I predict that she returns in Daredevil: Born Again. I LOVED the sequence between Maya and her mom. Really facilitates the emotion displayed by the 2 deaf actresses, especially Alaqua Cox. I genuinely think an episode or two was deleted from this show. There's certainly stuff that could've been fleshed out better. If the deleted episode(s) was put back in, along with the writing and visuals being better polished, this show would be better received. The change in Maya's powers from the comics is a problem for purists, but the majority of people watching this, like me, are watching stuff like this blind (and would prefer it that way). The post-credit scene setting up Mayor Kingpin in many upcoming projects (i.e. Daredevil: Born Again, Spider-Man 4, etc) is brilliant. Vincent D'Onofrio is going to have a ball being grounded Thanos for these street heroes, and I can't wait. Fingers cross we get more Echo, especially if we get more growth from Alaqua Cox. #GoSupportEcho #GoStreamEcho
The haters are either Kingpin or Daredevil fanboys who were angry the show was more about Maya than them or it's sexists that hate any show with a female lead
In a world where it’s often more profitable to hate something than love it it’s no surprise at the negativity fostered in the shadows of the internet. It’s always easier to destroy than create. Too each his own I say but the algorithms take that energy to the extreme. I would agree, if you don’t like it you really don’t need to watch it but the negativity makes money so, if hating is your thing there’s an economic incentive to pontificate about it so…. this is the world we live in. 😔 As for me, in my house we choose positivity 🙏🏾✌🏾
I love this and I understand why they changed her powers. Too bad the Taskmaster did a bad job, Echo's mimic ability would have been very cool in Daredevil. I also love the representation in this. I hope Alaqua Cox gets more roles. And her cousin who plays the younger version of her.
Interesting to see what they do with MCU Maya. And what’s up with King Pin? Did he really just cry and runaway? King Pin?! I’m still very confused.🙏🏾✌🏾
This series was dope as hell, I don’t understand the hate it got
Some folks may they’re living on hate. If you can, check out the Echo “Assembled” on Disney+. Good stuff.🙏🏾✌🏾
This show single-handedly revived the street level of the MCU and don’t let anyone tell you different
