To this day, The Jordan 11 still sets the bar high for both shoe design and performance. The Air Jordan 11 is approaching it's 25th anniversary and we thought it would be dope to make a video detailing the history of this legendary silhouette. Facts! I remember walking into a NIKE store to buy the Kobe 5's and the raging bulls packs was sitting on display for anybody to see, try on, and buy. Too pricey for me at the time but to actually have them in my hands was cool

when i was 6 my uncle gave me a pair of jordan 11s, it used to be his and he used it when he played in highschool, it didnt fit me since i was small. he asked me to wear them if i ever played basketball, he died in december 2020. i fell in love with basketball during the pandemic since i had an old ps2 with nba live 08, i practiced basketball everyday since then, and when i was practicing, i remembered the shoes and tried them on, it almost fit and now since im 2 years older, i tried them on and it fit perfectly, currently 12 years old turning 13, going into 7th grade and definitely trying out for the basketball team, and just the fact that my hero gave me a pair of my idols favorite shoe, its unreal to me. Definitely wearing these shoes everytime i play to honor him

@@NachoAverageFinds yeah the PE that he worn were the black concords the soles are concord purple Instead of Space jam blue and the the tongue tab says "jumpman Jordan" (with a jumpman) instead of "jumpman Jam" with a bugs bunny jumpman

@@EitherOrr those 2016 11s were the black concords but they marketed them as the Space jams for the "story" and what I assume is to cut costs. The 11s to me is the Greatest thing ever designed and I study it like it's an A-level

This shoe is so conflicting to me, both because it looks the best (next to the 9) and has some of the best color ways, but it’s also everywhere and expensive as hell, which isn’t ideal for a 16 year old kid lmao

@@bobbyshewan4229 Funny thing is the Space Jam came out in 2016 when I was 16. I ended up getting just about every OG Colorway that year. I got the Bred 1, White Cement 4, Metallic 5, Maroon 6, Aqua 8, Flu Game 12, True Blue 3, Space Jam 9, and Space Jam 11. I got hella other J’s that year too, that was a good year. I got a about 15 pair of J’s that year.

The annual Jordan XI december release started in 2008 with the 11/12 Countdown Pack, there were none in 2007, and the DMP XI released in January of 2006.

03:05 the carbon fiber shank is not for weight reduction (sneakers usually don't have one) its for stiffness and energy return. It adds to the responsiveness of the shoe while sprinting. this is common nowdays in "speed boots" in football/soccer... they literally add a spring in your step

So, I always thought shoe kinda looked "blegh" but after watching this I appreciate it more. I know some guys who swear by their Bred 11s everywhere, but I still think the Air Jordan 1 is the only Jordan you should wear at a formal event lol

this is my all time favourte Jordan shoe. i remember i wanted this so bad growing up and seeing the 3 main colourways at the time. Over time i kept seeing all these weird colourways which were knock offs but now most of them are legit colourways. my first pair were the Cool Greys. Because i couldnt afford the actual ones i got some knockoff concords and space jams off ebay and well made me wish i had legit ones. Space Jam is my favourite movie and ill always love the space jam colourways. i plan to get the jordan 6 rings in the space jam colourway since its the most affordable way i can kinda get close to the actual 11s right now

Sometimes these are the most iconic Jordan to me. Sometimes the 4s or 1s. Simply by virtue of how many amazing moments these shoes were in the middle of. The Concorde colorway is so classy, which seems strange to me because I thought the patent leather was too loud when they first came out. They go with so many different outfits. The cool greys are an amazing summertime shoe.
11s have grown to be my favorite Jordan (Previously the 6s due to the infrareds), and will make up my main shoe collection pieces. This was a great series as someone new to the sneaker game. 1st class history lesson!

I remember picking these up during the winter time from bargain bazaar in downtown Brooklyn... I was kind of upset they came out with breds instead of the black concords aka space jams which are my favorite. But I still copped the breds the only one I didn't cop were the Columbia's grand mother wouldn't give ne anymore money to buy 11s lol

Incredible shoe. I wasn’t a big fan initially. Though, one day in college I saw a girl wearing it and it looked good as hell and my opinion changed instantly. It definitely needs to be work to really show its shine.

FYI, this upcoming holiday they're releasing a Jordan 11 25th anniversary edition that's mostly black with clear outsole. Chrome hits on the upper. Some people love it and some are hating on it. It's a clean look; I just wish they would remove the JORDAN letters on the upper.
