Bit harsh on Maldonado.
Stroll needs to be replaced I mean he was fighting magnusen for basically last place in arguably the 4th best car
We all agree on this however we all know he's going nowhere unfortunately
Regarding Stroll's claim that everyone in front of him suddenly braked, he [Piastri] says meaningfully: "Yes, but everyone else didn't crash into each other." [MotorsportTotal]
I don't have issue with the incident itself as mistakes happen all the time. What made me angry about Stroll was the fact that he really had bad excuses when it's simply his own stupid mistake who ruined Daniel's race. Back in 2022's Hungarian GP Daniel hit Stroll's car and he apologized and owned his mistake. Lance's reaction after the incident showed that he's the type of guy who won't reflect on shit.
He's been a rookie for like 8 years. He doesn't learn from his mistakes, because it's never his fault! Spoiled brat!
Besides that... he has 8 years of experience.... 8 YEARS.

Pay drivers are bad enough, but drivers that absolutely can't lose their seat because their family owns the team makes a mockery of F1 and ultimately dilutes it's position as the pinnacle of motorsport.

This is true. The similarity is that they both have flash in the pan performances but most of the time underperform and are just a menace on track
I would like to be a fly on the wall when Lawrence speaks with Lance every day. What kind of discussions do they have? Does Lawrence praise him and provide encouragement or does he say why can't you be more like Max, Fernando, and Lewis?
There has to be something in the way Lance was brought up where Lawrence thinks he needs to keep holding his hand.
Scott. He’s training for team manager! Toto was too tall for f1 . Chris Horner was a good driver. But too old before he could go to f1 . Lance is in his last year. He has flat-lined on the learning curve.

I love that ric and yuki push each other to the next level. They will definitely get both seats if ric keeps pushing and yuki pushing him. I can't wait to see how well they can do. Ric I believe had a upgraded car unlike yuki so it explains why yuki couldn't catch up. I wish they both keep pushing into points showing they both deserve seats.

Each year my thinking more & more leans towards F1 NOT being what Lance wants at all. Lawrence is living his F1 dream vicariously though his son, and Lance is just the spoiled rich kid living his life at the whims of his father.

I got nailed like this in the SFL this weekend at monza om the first lap 5:59 and I was pissed i couldn't imagine irl in an f1 race. Lance is truly a moron for that one and the fact hes not accepting fault for ot at all is even worse. Hes messed up a lot but this is going to be the one that hurts his reputation pretty badly.

We've known for YEARS now that they choose Stroll over the Points. The point of all this is to throw as much money at the championship as they can afford. To pull Stroll up as high as they can given his terrible driving record. That's why there is ALWAYS. Stronger driver aside him. Understand Lance IS the point. Not Championships.

I feel like it's a lack of passion for F1 from Lance Stroll. You can clearly see how disinterested he is in the sport every time you watch him on screen, all the way down to his helmet at 8:54. He's not trying to push his own individual message or express his creativity or interests through the artistry on his helmet like so many of his fellow drivers are doing. Rather, he's just content with flying the Aston Martin team colors on his helmet. I mean, look at Alonso's helmet, for fuck's sake. It's so much more colorful and decorated with the colors he likes the most. And sure, it still has the Aston Martin wings on it, but otherwise, you can clearly tell it's HIS helmet. Lance's helmet looks like it was given to him by the team. And tbh, I think it's telling of something. I don't think Lance actually wants to be in the seat, but rather he's being forced to be in it by his dad who wants to live vicariously through his son. Because let's be honest: who's the real obvious motorsport fan in the family? It's not the son. It's the father, and it shows. Go look into his massive car collection and the racetrack in his backyard if you haven't already
Edit: even in the Racing Point and the Williams, Lance was just repping team colors. He had no desire to get creative and wear something that described him. He just wore whatever the team gave him because he couldn't be bothered to care whatsoever
Edit 2: and even at 9:59, you can see the difference in how Lawrence and Lance feel about the entire thing. Lawrence has a smile on his face, and looks happy to be there. Lance looks like he couldn't be bothered to care one bit. I'd even go as far as to say he looks like he's been forced to be there, and he's not going there out of his own free will

Best helmet design on the worst driver in F1. I wonder how much $$$ Aston have lost because of Lance's poor performances. I know Fernando is a high benchmark, but Lance is soooo the weakest link. Do us a favour Lance and give your seat to Felipe Drugovich.

This was always Lance, though. He either crashed into the scenery or into other drivers. He just found a new way to do it this time.
Not to say Maldonado didn't crash into people. He did, plenty. Usually when he was fighting for a podium, or outright victory. He was quick, quicker than most. He was Max, if Max never learned not to crash into people.
Lance is both crash prone and slow. The one time he got pole he ended up out of the points. And the race he got third on, well, Bottas unlapped himself and got second.
Lance has had eight years to learn, but like Pastor, he never did. The difference is, Pastor was naturally quick. Afternoon tea at Wimbledon seems more Lance's pace.
