Good idea on the foil. Heads up though. I believe you are wearing a dust mask and you need to be wearing a full up respirator with the big canisters on it rated for VOC. Automotive paint is extremely dangerous.

I was hoping you would say how many cans of paint, I know single stage aerosol doesn’t cover that well. I was thinking three cans, but I could see five, especially for the results you got. $15 a can, times five…. Pretty steep, but still worth it if you do not have a gun and air. For someone that didn’t know what they where doing you did quite well, and explained, advised very well.

Some paints cause nerve damage, just looking out for you, my son, and I re-doing a 1975 2 door nova took it all the way down its going to be candy apple red we have those mask and paint suits. there's a lot of car girls. there's so many type of car people. some like machine in general like any type of cars. some like performance characteristic some like looks and what not. how did you get into cars and what you like most about cars?
You should have got clear coat in a aerosol can and just sprayed over your single stage and that would cut down a lot of the coats that you did with the single stage

Great job! My only reservation is that you didn’t use catalyzed 2K paint and 2K epoxy primer. Hopefully, it stands up over time.

Getting rid of oils you could also just use some rubbing alcohol
alcohol absorbs oil into it

Never sand primer with anything finer than 320. 800 is way to fine and I'll bet you find you are going to have adhesion issues sooner than later.
