Really bad comment at the end of #13 (4:41). If you watch the entire video clip, you will see that the cammer had the green light for eight seconds _before_ the accident. The cammer had the green light at the moment of impact. The cammer had only ONE second to react. Before that, the car _at_ _fault_ was _not_ _visible_ to the cammer. The comment is _wrong_ you can clearly hear the cammer braking before impact. They were not negligent for failing to drive defensively in this situation, as the cammer _must_ have been paying attention to apply their brakes so quickly after the car turned in front of them.

Correct. The right rear tire never gets out of the lane. You cannot approach closer than the legal distance until the vehicle in front completely vacates the lane. The cammer was following illegally close at the time the truck started the left turn. If a cop had seen this, they could have additionally given the truck a ticket for failure to maintain lane, but it would still be on the cammer for not maintaining distance until the truck cleared the lane.

Speed limit was 55mph. If she would have been doing at least 45mph there would have been plenty of time for her, me, and the 4 vehicles behind me. She was going maybe 40mph then let off the gas about 10 sec before the video starts, she was on the brakes for 5 whole seconds before it turned yellow. at which point we were down to almost 25mph when it turned yellow. She hit the brakes so hard you can see she had to almost come off the brakes in order to make it to the white line. Not to be biased on age but the lady was certainly 70 or 75, when i passed her she was hunched over on the steering wheel and looked like she was struggling to see. Made me feel pretty bad for blaring my horn. lol My guess on why this happened is she couldnt see the green light and was already nervous with her vision so when she saw yellow, she slammed on the brakes. hopefully she gets new glasses and limits her driving to non rush hour traffic hours. Nearly coming to a stop at a green light is not good and can cause crashes. If your scared to drive or you cant see throw on your hazards so everyone knows to watch out for ya.

It is my understanding (which may be completely mis-guided) that unless there is some sort of property damage (hit car), or something where they can observe later on (giving a drunk driver a breathalyzer), officers usually have to witness an infraction in person to be able to do something about it. Since it was just a reckless person passing like a jack-ass, and they are back in the right lane by the time any officer would be able to show up on scene, it is what it is, unfortunately. I would also like to add that the fact that the cammer didn't slow down seemingly at all while witnessing a possibly extremely dangerous situation isn't a good look for him either.

I have seen so many people out there now that either don't know or doesn't care what to do when an emergency vehicle is going by with lights and siren running.
