@@PraeaKittenThe person you replied to didn't say that though. 6. Alterman in NY @1:49 doesn't even notice the motorcyclist riding without a helmet and Lane Splitting. NY Vehicle and Traffic Law (VTL) 1252 specifically prohibits all forms of lane splitting. Subsection (b), Motorcycles are prohibited from passing cars or other motor vehicles if there is more than one vehicle in the lane. This includes other motorcycles.
Lane splitting needs to be illegal EVERYWHERE. It's so dangerous, and they all ride way beyond the allowed speed while passing, and do other unscrupulous nonsense like riding to the front of a line of cars at an intersection, then assuming they have "right of way" when the light turns green. Yah, no you don't buddy, so go ahead and get pissed when the gas pedal hits the floor and leaves you standing with the dumb face, you were in the wrong.
Legality aside the biker risks another car pulling out of line, he slams into it with no helmet on going 25 mph. Maybe next ride is in that black hearse.
Yes, unfortunately many American drivers are too unaware of their surroundings and are not safe around motorcycles filtering through traffic. There is hope, though - states adjacent to California have repeatedly had bills to legalize lane splitting/filtering proposed over the years, and some may eventually succeed. However, it will initially be more dangerous for riders, until American drivers get used to it the way European and Asian drivers are. I doubt that a significant portion of American drivers would be willing to pay as much attention to their driving as most drivers in the rest of the world. People's tendency to stereotype motorcycle riders, plus the fear/surprise/jealousy/other emotional responses work against legalizing lane splitting in the USofA.
The argument I've heard is that it is a safety concern as if a motorcycle at the back of the line gets rear ended, squish! Though it should really only be allowed when traffic is stopped and at a walking speed.

If they are approaching you for a pass, then that distance would have been a lot less by the time you actually started to switch lanes. Next time wait for them to pass instead of flipping your signal on and immediately moving over. Chances are that you cut them off pretty badly.
@Falcon2 Actually, the cammer forgot to "clear the turn" prior to making his turn (i.e. make sure no pedestrian/bicyclist is crossing the road via the sidewalks and that no other vehicle is in the way either). You aren't supposed to start you turn unless it's clear to do so and it wasn't in this case so he should have waited.
@Falcon2 But why make a point about something completely different, that's what I'm talking about. I'm not confused, you are. I don't care about "another situation", I was just commenting on this particular one, end of story.
@Falcon2 It was a kid, not an illegally riding cyclist, you putz. And the cammer stopped in the middle of oncoming lanes, which fortunately/luckily were clear. 4:22 I absolutely hate Canada’s left turns both in Ontario & Quebec. It’s so hard to see what’s coming at you and most of the time you never get a green turn arrow unlike the United States
Odd, living in both I happen to know most major intersections have advanced turn signals for turning left. Not sure where you are complaining about, but probably lower population density areas that might not have much of a need for advanced turn signals, being such low population and all.
@@MrBattlecharge Traveled both to Ontario & Quebec multiple times (Toronto & Quebec City) just driving around there was many difficult left turns with no left hand arrows.

4:05 here in Michigan, you can report elderly drivers being unsafe to the secretary of state. Just need a license plate. Dunno if other States have similar laws or not
Strange as it may seem, young people, young adults, middle age people and even beginning to get old, all of them, run red lights on clear bright, days and nights mainly because they are bad or entitled drivers. Just because someone is old doesn't make them a bad driver and just because someone is young doesn't make them a good driver. People on cell phones cause more accidents than anything else I can think of after watching 100s of these videos.
I never understand the point of speeding around a truck and breaking in front of them, even if they slowed you down by passing in front of you (which is annoying, I know) but when it happens to me once the truck finally gets over I get on down the highway on my merry way. Why take the time and effort to whip in front of them and break check em? Thought we were wanting to get down the highway?
If a person doesn't maintain their vehicle properly, it could break at any time. They had no way of knowing their vehicle would break the moment they sped around and pulled in front of the truck. 🤷🏼♂️🙂
Can't believe I'm saying this, but it's "not as bad as" (?) the one I saw where the guy acts like his car is a bike and follows the crosswalk to get across the street and then cross the next part of the street. Essentially doing a big ass wide left turn from the right lane... Lol...
Everyone likes different things. Some people think muscle cars are stupid. Not everyone likes the same things, but some people like certain things. Doesn't mean you get to be an ass about someone else's preference.
#7. Their are more than 3 of the same SUV’s. It’s 6….3 white, 3 black. Maybe they are from a dealership, but they’re down 1 now. Not sure how that car ran head on into that big BLACK SUV.
When turning left at a light, many States don't allow you to "lead off" into the intersection while waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. You a suppose to stay at the stop line until oncoming traffic clears. BUT, people copy each other's bad habits instead of thinking for themselves.
You are wrong about the many states don't allow the "lead off". It's the opposite where most state do allow that, because it keeps the traffic sitting at the lights for too long. Yes people like to abuse it by having more than one car at a time, but it's very legal to do so.
It’s actually safer to be in the middle of the intersection when waiting to turn left because 1)You can see oncoming traffic better than if you’re at the line. 2) you have a shorter distance to make your turn when there’s a gap in traffic.

Not Hearses. Actually they are Honda Odysseys. The 4th one (white, is also). The first three are touring version which look uncannily like a hearse, but not long enough.
Maybe 4 new vehicles being transported to a dealership. Happens this way sometimes.
@@jamesallion7648lol. Chevy Tahoes. Not minivans. You can see 2 white ones turning before the collision. But it was unusual that there were so many in a row.
@@scorpionsting47 I'll buy that! I stand corrected.
@@dubious6718 Hard to tell for sure from how far away it is, but I think in this case the car that hit them was actually driving on the wrong side of the road.
Happy Wednesday everyone. #1
#8 - 3 car lengths is only 50 feet for that Expedition, and less than 1/2 a second at freeway speeds. If they are approaching you for a pass, then that distance would have been a lot less by the time you actually started to switch lanes. Next time wait for them to pass instead of flipping your signal on and immediately moving over. Chances are that you cut them off pretty badly.
Regardless, that is no excuse to brake check a 70k+ vehicle.
6:33 pedestrians have the right of way
@Falcon-um7vo even if its a cyclist the car has to yield to them, it doesnt make a difference in this case.
@Falcon2 I was commenting on this particular part of the video, so I don't know why you chose to go off about something else.
This was just an example of bad/non-defensive driving. Again, this is not anything like your example, it's a red herring so just drop it already as I already know that you don't have any driving or logic skills.
1:25 the truck hit the motorcycle!
7:40 Linus Media Group, in Surrey BC on the speaker :D
1:05 I support that driver to "kick" the slow traffic out of the passing lane.
3:22 - Silly, he wanted the high lane 🤣🤣🤣
For some reason #7 made me chuckle. Just seems so preventable.
@ 7:10 Did anyone tell him he can't dock his boat there?
0:46 damn I wonder what that car was thinking 💥 . Payed the price.
We think she was distracted or just didn't give a shit. Her passenger took the brunt of it though.
Who else thinks road rage should be addressed more seriously by law enforcement?
1:58 they aren't hearses, but they could possibly be part of a funeral precession.
Brake checkers are lucky I don't drive a semi truck. They'd be getting a good "tap", and end up in the rhubarb.

4:22 I absolutely hate Canada’s left turns both in Ontario & Quebec. It’s so hard to see what’s coming at you and most of the time you never get a green turn arrow unlike the United States
In Saskatchewan, I've never seen a double left that didn't have a green arrow.
@@pazuzu7119 Not in the budget for those two provinces. All Hail Nova Scotia! (I have friends there, they send me good beer)

Curb should've gotten a ticket ngl
1:49 Your problem is that he changed lanes right in front of you, mine was the way they continued on top of the median.
and they forgot the responsible biker, making sure he covers and protects his elbow, you know, in case he crashes.
2:16 would love to see the minute or so of footage leading up to that encounter, the explanation doesn't ring true.
@4:28 update, almost cause an accident it doesn't matter that other driver also ran the red light (that driver is wrong too), had the camer been driving correctly this would not have happened.
3 all black Suburban's or Yukon's? Did any of the driver's get out, wearing black suits and very dark shades?
4:05 here in Michigan, you can report elderly drivers being unsafe to the secretary of state. Just need a license plate. Dunno if other States have similar laws or not
Strange as it may seem, young people, young adults, middle age people and even beginning to get old, all of them, run red lights on clear bright, days and nights mainly because they are bad or entitled drivers. Just because someone is old doesn't make them a bad driver and just because someone is young doesn't make them a good driver. People on cell phones cause more accidents than anything else I can think of after watching 100s of these videos.
@@timothyjohnson6258 no, but dementia and degrading eye sight affects far more elderly drivers then young drivers

6:36 Wow! Against traffic *and* on the sidewalk. 😡
7:01 perfectly timed beep😂
Last one - you didn't even mention he drove right through a red light!
Seems to be a thing lately - people think they can make a U on red.
Can't believe I'm saying this, but it's "not as bad as" (?) the one I saw where the guy acts like his car is a bike and follows the crosswalk to get across the street and then cross the next part of the street. Essentially doing a big ass wide left turn from the right lane... Lol...

When turning left at a light, many States don't allow you to "lead off" into the intersection while waiting for oncoming traffic to clear. You a suppose to stay at the stop line until oncoming traffic clears. BUT, people copy each other's bad habits instead of thinking for themselves.
Many more states do allow that. Hell seen cities where you will be stuck for multiple hours if you don’t that’s assuming you’re not being shot at.
U sound dumb why hold up the people behind you lmao😂
You are wrong about the many states don't allow the "lead off". It's the opposite where most state do allow that, because it keeps the traffic sitting at the lights for too long. Yes people like to abuse it by having more than one car at a time, but it's very legal to do so.
It’s actually safer to be in the middle of the intersection when waiting to turn left because 1)You can see oncoming traffic better than if you’re at the line. 2) you have a shorter distance to make your turn when there’s a gap in traffic.
Mess with a Semi truck... get Grilled!
#7 I believe they are hearses.
