Without this movie we never would've gotten the Deadpool trilogy according to Ryan cause it created a need to redeem the character and himself since this was his 3rd bad comic character(Hannibal King, Hal Jordan, Wade Wilson)
@waynesolo so I got the ordering wrong, it was still 3 bad comic book characters that he played and he wanted to make a good one for once which is what inspired him to convince fox to do the test footage and then for him to allegedly leak that footage
Man, Liev Schreiber nailed it as Sabretooth in this film. It actually made me a fan of him. He was Cotton in Scream 1 & 2. Also had a great series called Ray Donovan that's worth a watch. Was also in a hockey movie with Sean William Scott called Goon. Easily Sean's best performance ever.
I know it's flawed, definitely not perfect or the greatest & gets a lot of hate, but I always liked this movie❤❤❤ Now Deadpool & Wolverine is Perfection & Entertainment wise it is Beyond Measure😍🤩😍
I always explain Deadpool in this movie by telling myself they just used Wade's DNA to clone him and then enhance the clone with other mutants DNA also. So its not actually him in my mind anyway. I realize that's not how they are meaning it but it makes more sense to me than what they did lol. Still though I don't think that one major glaring flaw ruins the entire movie.
Gotta love, the fact, the post credit seen when Wade was retrieving his head. I cannot help but think that this was supposed to be at fourth wall break that he’s saying to us. “I’m still alive, be quiet”😂
This movie wasn't actually all that bad, it was just convoluted with X-men stuff that didn't need to be inserted along with some bad writing/creative choices (like cg claws). Also, I would assume that he's not actually Deadpool (only in name), just a clone.
Exactly!! Why hire someone that looks just like Hugh Jackman to play his ”dad” if you’re gonna turn around and say oh no it’s not though… I always looked at it as miscommunication.. she had two kids from two dads Knowing you’re an X-men stan, love watching you go through these lol
Its kinda frustrating it took Logan the movie to get a rated R wolverine, the studios should've capitalized on Jackman's prime and adapt some stories from the comics. Without being said Jackman easily owns this role, that scene when he wakes up from the experiment is raw asf
When you react to Deadpool 2, I suggest watching the directors cut and staying around for the post credits scene because it’s freaking awesome and funny.

ryan reynolds shares all of our sentiments regarding the portrayal of deadpool in this movie lol. 😂 please don't miss the mid-credit scenes during the credits of deadpool 2!
I actually liked this movie, as unpopular as it seemed to comic book fans. I think the backstory of Logan and Victor was good. I liked the actor choices as well. Liev did an amazing job as Victor. Even though I loved the ability shown by Wade with his swordplay at the beginning, I didn't like the way he looked at the end with the removal of his mouth and giving him multiple powers. At the time, I knew nothing about Deadpool, but I know it seemed out of place for him to have all those powers...especially Scott's. Now I know as mutants more than one can possess the same powers, but Scott and his sibs were different. As you said...they weren't mere laser eyes. They are portals to another planet dimension and from that his powers come from...how? I have no idea how that makes him and his brother mutants. I learned later that his father had a third kid, but his powers were not like the other Summers boys. I still got to read up on that. But I digress...I don't think Emma Frost was Kayla's sister because Emma would have been old enough to be around Charles and Erik's age, I believe. I think it was just another example of different mutants with similar powers as those we knew. Two other continuity problems are that Scott would have remembered Stryker taking him and operating on him. He never said anything about it in the trilogy Xmen movies. And there's no way Charles would have been walking if this was the 80's. So him walking off the plane was out of place. Wade had no mouth, so how did he suddenly have one again in the end credits to say "shhh"? But I didn't think about the Sword lengths until you pointed it out. That was ridiculous too.😂 Like I said, I liked the arc background of the brothers and showing the procedure of him getting the Adamantium in him, his girlfriend and Gambit. I liked that actor playing Gambit even though I only saw him in The Covenant with Steven Strait and Sebastian Stan. I think The Wolverine is the only one about him that I did not like. Great reaction.
In fairness, you took that better than i thought. Most comic fans get really catty about it. But your opinion pretty much matches mine. Its a very flawed movie, but it's entertaining with some great characters. Personally, I'll take the flaws over a perfect reproduction with zero entertainment value
And that's the thing that book readers and comics fans don't grasp -- they go over the storybooks at length before production and figure out what works best, or what doesn't translate at aII to the big screen, and changes are needed to fit a modern audience within a modern mega-action motion picture climate -- they can't keep everything from the books/comics, and for very good reason
Idk how deadpool’s mouth opened when he died but when i was younger i really liked this deadpool i like the new one a lot more obviously but i thought it was cool he had all those powers bc i already see him as such a powerful character it would have been cool for him to have him pop up as a variant the new deadpool was pretty good btw too
I REALLY hope you watch all of the X-Men movies, including Apocalypse and Logan, before DP3. I think it's important to have a full appreciation of the entire universe and background of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Deadpool only has 2/3 movies (This, DP1, and DP2) to understand the history of the movie version of the character, going into DP3. Wolverine has literally EVERY X-Men/related movie to build up his backstory going into DP3, because he is the through-line for the X-Men in every universe leading up to DP3. Knowing your appreciation for character backstory and universe building (based on your watch through of the MCU, and your EXTENSIVE knowledge of the comics), I genuinely think you'd be doing yourself a disservice to watch DP3 without that complete understanding.
You should watch all the wolverine movies tbh and first class you might like that because it seems a bit more comic accurate not sure though I’m not an expert.
I think it's X-Men #8 back in 1992. Here's a webpage I just google that seems to break some of it down. www.cbr.com/provide-some-answers-what-was-gambit-and-sabretooths-sinister-shared-past/
Quick question: I just finished watching your Deadpool video and you mentioned never having seen Taken. Is that still the case, and if so, would you ever do a video for it (the first one at least)?
this movie was really great till tge third act when that abomination they tried to pass off as Deadpool showed up and is the reason most comic fans hate this movie. It had potential to be really good but the whole move leaked about a week before rlease and people saw "Deadpool" and a few other things that turned them off so it flopped and because of that they scrapped the planned X-Men Origins: Magneto movie. fun fact: the old couple logan meets are supposedly a retired Vindicator and Guardian from Alpha Flight
I like this movie personally but even I can admit its pretty bad, Deadpool is just terrible but I find Stryker and Sabretooth's portrayals to be well done, and this might still be my favorite version of Gambit, but that comes from a personal bout of favoritism for Taylor Kitsch.
Yeah I just watched deadpool wolverine as well but I really did not like it, this whole multiverse crap is shouldn't have even begun in the first place. It worked for me in one movie only and that was jet li's the one. Think you'll enjoy days of future past and logan when you get there. My favourites. Never read one comic but I loved all the cartoons as a kid in the 90"s. Love your vids man great channel
I've explained multiple times over the last 3 years with this channel that I've not watched the X-Men movies and explained why. So yeah it is legit. I've read well over 1000 X-men related comic books but I've avoided this movies because they strayed so far from the comic characters. I'm giving them a shot now because people wanted me to check them out and give them a chance.
Without this movie we never would've gotten the Deadpool trilogy according to Ryan cause it created a need to redeem the character and himself since this was his 3rd bad comic character(Hannibal King, Hal Jordan, Wade Wilson)
It was only his 2nd comic book character. Green Lantern came out after Origins.

Yeah he was excellent. I totally forgot he was Cotton in Scream. I reacted to those movies last year and I didn't make that connection. :)
@@NewfieMovieReactions He was an extreme babyfaced actor back in Scream, to be fair.
he was pretty funny in Movie 43 and The Ten

I’m having a lot of fun seeing you check out all the X-men stuff. There’s so much I forgot about these movies.
I'm so excited for your reaction to this one, just starting it now. Already cant wait for First Class!!!

Ehh I think X2 proves that you don’t need a rated R Wolverine for him to be good.
Fun detail: the eldery couple helping Logan kept comparing him to their son. In the comics, they adopted Logan's biological son.
When you react to Deadpool 2, I suggest watching the directors cut and staying around for the post credits scene because it’s freaking awesome and funny.

While it does have...SOME good moments, this movie was 99% a huge let down.
This is a guilty pleasure movie. Maybe more of a standalone movie. But it’s good to see it so that everything after this can be appreciated way more.
Hey Newfie how are you love the reactions 😊
I'm good thank. Thank you for watching. :)
The actor that play Thomas is new Zealand - Australian actor Aaron Jeffreys

I'm trying to keep an open mind with these films, and also keeping in mind they are loosely based on the comic characters. Haha.

lol well this is validating! The bootleg version I saw years ago was TERRIBLE!
