@@TVguyDarko wasn’t trying to sound rude so sorry if it did, I mean I’m personally used to Samsung TV calibration. So for people who have maybe never owned that brand maybe just suggest what you would recommend. Just a suggestion. The video was very helpful none the less

Hi thanks for your informative video, I have this TV but the only picutre modes I have is Dolby Vision, there's no cinema or HRD options, I'm using an Amazon Firestick which is where I watch all my content is this a restriction from the Firestick? A lot of the picture settings are greyed out so I cannot adjust them?
Hi - it could be that Firestick is outputting only Dolby Vision content? If you open RUclips through your TV's interface, there you should find SDR and HDR10 content so more settings should be available.
What videos from YT do you recommend for TV picture quality test?
I am at this very moment waiting for my Hisense 65 E7KQ TUK PRO to be delivered got it from argos for £649 and free delivery !! is that a good price for this tv? this new tv is to replace my old 2017 55" lgb6 oled tv which has screen burn in various places from playing too much fortnite with my grandson otherwise has a great picture . Do you think this hisense tv will be almost as good as a 2017 7yr old lg oled or maybe better ? I do have a man cave room with a simrig set up in for racing games but my intention was also to use this new tv with a ps5 and psvr 2 headset in comfort whilst playing games and also the hisense has a very low response time about 13ms i beleive where my old lg was about 28ms so should notice improvement on my kill rate in fortnite lol !!
Same with Tcl 845 20 point balance suffers from some real inconsistencies. That's where they still fall short to the major brands, IMO. For the rest 👍

I have Hisense 55A85G OLED 120 Hz with updated firmware that brings 2023 UI design to this old model. Can you disable the new energy efficiency pop-up that shows when you go to picture settings, as seen in your video. It can be quickly dismissed but is quite annoying. EU regulations, I suppose, so probably no way.
As I only need to set ultra smooth motion settings to "smooth" to get the improved 600 lines of motion resolution with 60 fps content, with Custom set to judder 0 and blur to 10 to eliminate 3:2 pull-down judder for 24 fps sources, I sometimes get flashes between static cuts with high APL, as the TV for some reason doesn't do 5:5 pull-down. Did you notice this, now that they switched from Novatek to Mediatek SoC.
and how do i know which picture mode to choose, how do i know if i have sdr hdr or dolby vision

I recently purchased the U7K model. I was watching a football game and the motion of the ball was feeling glitchy(not smooth). Tried using blur reduction but didn't seem to work. Does it only work with HDMI connection?

Hi! Yes, regardless of which panel the TV uses picture settings work in the same way, so this tutorial is applicable to U8K.

Hello, great video, I have a question, is that when the film is in a clear moment it looks excellent but when it is dark or black parts some parts look strange, as if they were pixelated or like stripes, do you know why that is?
That’s because of the fact that TVs have limited motion resolution, especially 60 Hz models. In static scenes, you will see everything sharp but if the camera moves you will see limitations, especially in darker scenes. If your TV has blur reduction in Motion menu, max it out to see if that will lead to an improvement. Which model do you have?

My backlight setting is greyed out. Maybe due to some visuals being shown in Dolby vision?
Could be that Dolby Vision IQ is active so TV will adjust brightness based on inputs from light sensor.
I only have Dolby Vision picture modes. Anyone know why?
Probably because you are looking at the menus during Dolby Vision playback. Try some other source like RUclips.

I have two issues. I want the white color and tone to be darker for the home menu as it is straining my eyes. Also I feel that RED color is not true red. How can I solve these problems for my Hisense 55E7KQ Pro?

I don't remember seeing options to adjust menu's appearance, but you should check the Accessibility menu if it offers anything useful.

@@TVguyDarko Thank you for your kindness Darko. In the meantime I have figured out how to soften the bloomy and blinding brightness from the Home Menu. I did it only after I have set backlight to less than 50 for all 3 SDR, HDR and Dolby Vision modes one after the other.

New U8 out of the box 24 hours...Pictire Mode indicated Dolby, and I have no way of getting to other Picture Modes, like Theatre Day/Night etc. Also, Brightness stuck at 100%..Looks like set may be defective??
Hi! You need to play different signal types and check if the TV is for some strange reason stuck with Dolby Vision. SDR/HDR picture is triggered by playing such content.
@@TVguyDarko strictly streaming with a Roku stick. Does it matter which HDMI it is plugged into?

These are the recommendations - stay with the most accurate picture mode and adjust main settings as shown in this video. I understand the settings are confusing, hopefully 2024 models will be better.

Why turn dynamic backlight off? It's the entire point of miniLED.
This TV doesn’t have mini LED, that’s the reason it needs to be turned off. I nees to check how the local dimming is names on mini LED models.
I might get the 65inch version with 144hz!!
Is there any forum or website I could go to , to get help with tuning out horribly luminous pink skin tones on my PHILIPS 50PUS7906. I've tried adjusting the various standard picture settings but nothing there helped. Theres advanced picture settings but I wouldn't know where to start there.

TV je za dnevni boravak pa su kutevi gledanja bitni(ima li više IPS-ova? ne nalazim baš :))
Uglavnom se gleda A1 tv, IPTV, koji skinuti film, Netflix.
Veličina, e to nisam siguran al vidim da ima izbora po dijagonalama pa možda nije toliko bitan faktor kod preporuke al uglavnom od 43 do 50 inćuna(gleda se s 2-3m).
A cijena, nisam pametan, od 300ojrića pa ne znam ni sam dokle bi išao, možda do 500-600? Ne znam jel opravdano za ovakvu upotrebu...
Btw. Imaju li neki od proizvođača mogućnost snimanja programa na usb stick/hdd ali da je s IPTV i slično, znači ne s ugrađene antene nego s vanjskog izvora?

IPS TV-a ima i dalje, samo je primjerice kod LG-ja od prošle godine lutrija koji će panel biti u njihovim modelima srednje klase.
Kad malo gledam čak i njihovi NanoCell i QNED modeli po Displayspecifications.com isto navode da su s VA panelima...

I IPS ne mora biti ako će biti ok kutevi gledanja... da nije stariji LG 50NANO773 s IPS-om?

Yes, the menus and options should be the same.

Just play HDR content and it will switch automatically to HDR mode.

No, E7KQ Pro is available in 55", 65", 75" and 85". No-Pro 60 Hz model is available in 43" and 50". 48" is not common these days.
