There's mod packs around, but I wouldn't really bother with them. They're often put together wrong and if you want to install anything seperate, you've to figure out which mods could potentially conflict or not. Plus there's the issue of some mod authors being overly protective of their mods, and don't want people "stealing" their work (lol). I'd recommend sticking to just learning how to install mods yourself :)

That and also being able to learn some new technical things about a childhood nostalgic game is pretty neat too! Thanks a lot for your videos ^^
The effort you put into these videos and the huge amount of information/knowledge gain I experienced because of your awesomeness is utterly fantastic. You are great :1
Damn nice video, SkyGFX is literally the only mod I need to have installed all the time, it just changes soo much and I absolutely ADORE the orange tint of the ps2. In pair with project 2dfx is a must mod and thanks for pointing out things otherwise would have been really hard to discover by myself!
Fantastic! Thank you so much for this very informative video! SkyGFX was the mod I was least familiar with in terms of configuration and this video helped me better understand it and configure it to my liking. And my settings are actually very close to yours except with the blur values, because I think the blur effects gives the game the 90's vibes and I love it! Thank you once again and I'm looking forward to your next video!
Amazing guide, I've used SkyGfx for 5 years now and never bothered to test everything. Only one thing with Blood drops: I don't like them because they appear when you break wooden stuff like destroying fences with melee attacks or shooting at trees from up close
Your GTA SA Mod Showroom videos are absolutely incredible! I just binge watched all of them and adjusted my own GTA SA mod configuration accordingly. With the Definitive Edition being such a disappointment, I am glad that people like you keep the game and the modding community alive and accessible. Keep up your great work!
I really like that you took the time to measure performance impact of SkyGFX, it is often mentioned yet never discussed in detail and asking about it would just get dismissed like "It's a 20 year old game" Thanks a bunch!
I want to say thank you very much. I followed your every step and set it up, everything works perfectly. After so many years, I'm playing this legendary game on PC again and with an orange sky... bro, it brings me back to my childhood, I can't even describe it, I'm so happy. Everything looks like on the ps2. What memories those are. This tutorial is perfect.

Thank you very much for replying. And speaking of the Xbox timecyc, I can't say anything for sure about the day time but I've seen some unique sky colours during the night. I've seen a comparison video of GTA SA classic XBOX vs PC and a video showcasing a mod which ports the classic XBOX version improvements to the PC version in a Spanish RUclips channel STREETSKULLS. The Xbox version nights have a deep purple coloured sky just like PS2 during some specific time and it looks awesome. As you've mentioned that the Rainy Countryside weather at 8 pm is broken in the PC timecyc, in the same way some other weather effects are also not present or broken in the PC timecyc which are present in the XBOX timecyc like some sandstorms effects in desert areas during the day or afternoon. Also, as you have mentioned that the spectacular lightings on peds and vehicles are broken in the PC timecyc, but this time the light reflection on vehicles caused by the headlights of other vehicles are broken on the XBOX. I'm not sure that this effect is broken because of some flaws in the XBOX timecyc or because of any other reason. BTW this effects works perfectly on the peds.
I've seen the whole mod showroom series and you're the best modder out there. The way you explain everything you could become a great teacher. You deserve more love.
Damn that amount of information I received from ur video is 🔥. You should be working for Rockstar! Initially I didn't even know how different the PS2 and PC versions were. I always had this feeling something was different in GTA SA PS2 ver. It's sad that Devs didn't do a good job porting this masterpiece well for PC. I believe the orange sky effect and low shadows were added, to reduce the load on PS2 hardware. But it's the orange sky in SA is what made it nostalgic and was loved by everyone 😍. Great video dude.
Nice vid, i have this mod since months, make another one with SkyUI, z map + fixes, framerate vigilante, mixsets, org patch, Pre-lighting Fixes Pack, etc. Edit: 22:46 Thanks for fix, that issue was present in "vertical bird" mission, and i don´t have it anymore
Could never decide whether I like the Original Playstation 2 version or the Original Xbox Version better. Each has their qualities/ pros and cons I love both versions. The Xbox version also doesn't have alot of the bugs that the PC port has. Amazingly on the PC version you can essentially combine the best features of the different versions with mods, get rid of of bugs, and have better frame rate and stability than the PS2 version.

These guides are incredible! I cant imagine the time this took to make. Thank you so much. In the off chance you see this comment, I'm curious how this mod interacts with ROSA Project? The reason I would like to use SkyGFX is for the haze, building lighting, and orange sun present in the ps2 version of the game. But I would still like to be using the hd textures from ROSA Project. It seems like with this mod I cannot retain those hd textures.
What settings would you recommend to make SkyGFX as accurate as possible to the PS2? I know about the blur thing but is there anything else you would recommend? Love your content btw! :)
The default settings along with the blur is probably the closest you’ll get. Using the seabed.ipl file from the PS2 version is also better too, it lowers the draw distance which also increases sun size.
