There's mod packs around, but I wouldn't really bother with them. They're often put together wrong and if you want to install anything seperate, you've to figure out which mods could potentially conflict or not. Plus there's the issue of some mod authors being overly protective of their mods, and don't want people "stealing" their work (lol). I'd recommend sticking to just learning how to install mods yourself :)
Hello, there were two editing mistakes when you were comparing performance: -At 30:37, it's supposed to be ' "dualpass=0" = 125 Avg FPS ' and the other one ' "dualpass=1" = 105 Avg FPS '. -At 31:03, it's supposed to be "grassBackfaceCull=1".

That and also being able to learn some new technical things about a childhood nostalgic game is pretty neat too! Thanks a lot for your videos ^^

Damn nice video, SkyGFX is literally the only mod I need to have installed all the time, it just changes soo much and I absolutely ADORE the orange tint of the ps2. In pair with project 2dfx is a must mod and thanks for pointing out things otherwise would have been really hard to discover by myself!
Fantastic! Thank you so much for this very informative video! SkyGFX was the mod I was least familiar with in terms of configuration and this video helped me better understand it and configure it to my liking. And my settings are actually very close to yours except with the blur values, because I think the blur effects gives the game the 90's vibes and I love it! Also, as you have mentioned that the spectacular lightings on peds and vehicles are broken in the PC timecyc, but this time the light reflection on vehicles caused by the headlights of other vehicles are broken on the XBOX. I'm not sure that this effect is broken because of some flaws in the XBOX timecyc or because of any other reason. BTW this effects works perfectly on the peds.

Damn that amount of information I received from ur video is 🔥. You should be working for Rockstar! Initially I didn't even know how different the PS2 and PC versions were. I always had this feeling something was different in GTA SA PS2 ver. It's sad that Devs didn't do a good job porting this masterpiece well for PC. I believe the orange sky effect and low shadows were added, to reduce the load on PS2 hardware. But it's the orange sky in SA is what made it nostalgic and was loved by everyone 😍. Great video dude.
This is a must have mod for the PC versions. Ever since I found out about it, I cannot play the game without these. Vice City especially benefits so much with SkyGFX/Trails option, it gives the game a new life basically.
This mod is something that can be a headache if you don't know what are you modifying. I'm very happy for seeing this really good content, I wanna thank you for your effort, your way to explain and giving us a chance to try this awesome mode for the game, keep on doing this please!
Could never decide whether I like the Original Playstation 2 version or the Original Xbox Version better. Each has their qualities/ pros and cons I love both versions. The Xbox version also doesn't have alot of the bugs that the PC port has. Amazingly on the PC version you can essentially combine the best features of the different versions with mods, get rid of of bugs, and have better frame rate and stability than the PS2 version.

Hmm, I do understand why some people might not like it; but, as for myself, as soon as I started to notice that the complexity behind the atmosphere and differentiation/diversity in tones/colours were considerably much higher and varied than any other version, I started to look at it with different lenses, to the point that all the other versions of the game looked "bland" in my eyes. And, while those mods do restore much of the atmosphere for the PC, I still don't feel like it does the job exactly how the PlayStation 2 hardware handles it since it might be significantly less nuanced.
Thank you! I don't think so, I think I'd prefer to play on original hardware than an emulator for these games. Otherwise, I'd just play on PC with mods.

I really like the look of that mod and want to test it. Thank you.
Is there a way to link the ps2 timesyc so that it's used only when SkyGFX is enabled? Also, I'm using Silent's ASI loader, as I couldn't get any mods to work with the ultimate modloader. Edit: I found that the modloader actually creates options in game instead of only recognizing known mods. This way I can turn it off while still being ready in case I want to turn it on along with SkyGFX. Thank you for the video by the way!
How do I save the changes made in Skygy Effects? I saved them in the notes blog (on the skygy1) and when I play again, it goes back to being the PS2 one again
I don't know if it is skygfx or some mod to install, but it happens that when I installed skygfx with my configuration, an bug occurred that made the road signs and the routes that always appear when you leave a city, look empty Without the letters, could you help me find out if it is an option in the skygfx ini?
I had the same problem. I eventually figured out that the widescreen mod I was using from a San Andreas essentials mod pack caused the wet reflections from silentpach to disappear only when using skygfx. I removed that widescreen mod and installed GTA SA Widescreen fix instead and now the wet reflections work with skygfx.

And thank you.
Plz make a tutorial for III and VC skygfx
I don't know if it is skygfx or some mod to install, but it happens that when I installed skygfx with my configuration, an bug occurred that made the road signs and the routes that always appear when you leave a city, look empty Without the letters, could you help me find out if it is an option in the skygfx ini?
When I put in the game using skygfx silent patch the wet reflections disappear
I had the same problem. I eventually figured out that the widescreen mod I was using from a San Andreas essentials mod pack caused the wet reflections from silentpach to disappear only when using skygfx. I removed that widescreen mod and installed GTA SA Widescreen fix instead and now the wet reflections work with skygfx.
