@@Glebuxi think that one was caused by a reLCS mod. Ryadica926 paywalled them, got the community disappointed, and reported to Rockstar. The ripple effect got to re3 and reVC because of the name. The paywalled content is the full game of reLCS beta. If he was wiser, the paywall should have been updated mod content, not the mod + full game, which should not be sold. Less chance to go wrong.
Lot of egos in modding communities unfortunately. A surprising amount of modders don't want anyone else ever touching (and in some cases, even learning from) their work.

The guy taunted us for years with THE BEST Interior mods I've ever seen, just for the pleasure of leaving us hanging. Such a horrible sociopathic move. He even refused help from more established VC modders, and left lol.
I have always had a huge respect for Silent, he single handedly made the OG trilogy perfectly playable in modern PCs, to such an extent that many mods expect you to have it installed, I was really sad to read when he decided to leave GTA modding. Fun fact, I have an extremelly modded GTA III internal build on which I copied Silent's vehicle spawning CLEO code (from the Aircrafts mod) to create a bunch of vehicle spawns all over the map, I didn't even know how to program back then, but his code was super clean and easy to read. Finally: F U T2

The gta modding community has made some of the best tools for these games. completely unmatched, you can pretty much do any kinda mod or change for them. Great vid.

I just came back to playing mods and damn so many came out in past decade+ and I no longer need to edit files just to install cars it's amazing and so convenient you can even replace car models while playing it's insane. But I have a lot of issues with enb and their enhanced shadows that make all models to become transparent and car models sometimes look weird.

With skygfx, render hook and silent patch all being open source, next 5 years of san Andreas and trilogy era modding will be so exciting. Would love to see skygfx be swallowed into silent patch so that mods like enb, reshade and renderhook would just drop in without issues.

I would like them to actually make a full patch for the complete edition of GTA 4. Make the FPS Stable, fix the lighting issues, make the game easier to mod and even bring back online. I know there are mods like FusionFix, but I've tried it, the FPS still isn't stable and you have to cap it at 30-40 FPS. The last mission is also terrible because no matter how fast you press the correct button, it doesn't do anything and you fail everytime.
@@LeviAckerman57551 There's still an issue with older hardware. Hardware newer than the game's release date but older than than 20 series Nvidia GPUs can't run it very well even with those two. DXVK only works on newer hardware and doesn't help much on AMD GPU's. I actually experienced worse framerate with it install alongside FusionFix
@@FreeMyVoxels I don't know about older nvidia GPUs but as for AMD, I'm currently running gta 4 with dxvk and fusionfix on my rx 6650xt without any serious problems
Huge probs on Silent, his patches and his other mods like GInput are always my stable, when it comes to GTA Modding. Excited to try the new version, I recently re-downloaded the classic GTA games again, since I also want to try the new CLEO version. Making his project also open source and releasing it to the public is also very awesome from him!
I've literally modded/fixed my San Andreas yesterday. Wanted to keep ot as vanilla as possible, but also enable all the PS2 colors/atmosphere and content missing from PC version. I went with Silent Patch + Widescreen Fix + Remastered GUI + SkyGfx + Project 2DFX and it's looking better than ever. Installation is super simple, pretty much unpack the content of zip archive and put it into game's root directory
My god, the resolution dialog was something I didnt had to deal before because I didnt had more than 1 monitor, now that I do, it has been annyoing forever, and now it is fixed.
Huge love and thanks to the GTA SA Modding Community! Your mods have made my game feel brand new again. Despite it's increased size (ALMOST 17GB), it's worth it and elevated my gaming experience, allowing me to enjoy San Andreas like never before!
only a small variety of games are so iconic that their modding scene still lives on to this day, san andreas is still the #2 pick for GTA roleplay servers for example, having two major multiplayer clients, with one of them bringing in EVEN MORE modding abilities with LUA scripting. the limits of what's possible in the game are being pushed every year, with people figuring out how to add things into the game without replacing for example. it's a shame that rockstar doesn't understand that people are passionate about their by no means perfect game and are willing to make it perfect for themselves and others. if rockstar hired actual passionate modders to work on the definitive edition, or better yet - the re3/revc team to work on it instead of cheap labour... i bet that would've been the best remaster by rockstar to come out to this day.
There is an issue in the game that if it is raining and you stand under some thing like bridge, the rain stops and continues agin when you move out from the roof
The community also made GTA 3 playable on Windows 10. There was a lot of issues which prevented the game from even opening on Win10, but a few mods fixed it and improved mouse support.
Great vid, I love the explanations for each bug fix, my issue with playing and modding gta sa after replaying it from ps2 era and being a modder for many other games since, I would have many character mods and everything I want, but then I start to add cars one by one, and after like the 5th car the game is just bugged beyond repair, it goes from 500fps to like 10 and even if I removed it and even replaced files to default, the entire folder is just bugged and I have to use a whole new gta folder and manually redownload everything again, its small things like that that break my modding experience because it takes days and days of picking and chosing each mod, but just one can screw it all up and make things really annyoing, even if i have backups, the problem was if the car spawned in the area or not, I would not know if it broke fps, also its almost impossible to see what car you even replaced.. they already have a great ui to show car, why not go the step further and show the name of the car you swapped with, since its special auto download car mod, idk.. it was fun the first few days with like my frist 3 cars xD
I need someone to help me connect to samp properly. The game keeps disconnecting me saying my name is in use but it isn't, it happens even on empty servers. Miraculously, it doesn't happen on all, and takes shorter or longer on some to happen. I'm connecting via wifi on laptop
SilentPatch is a must have for not just GTA games, but any PC game that Silent puts his hands on, it's actually incredible how half-assed PC ports can be, and the 3D era GTA games were guilt of a lot of issues (nowhere as much as GTA 4 though). These fixes in the new version are great! I kinda hope that the plane crash fix thing is optional though, I always liked to watch these idiots crashing into buildings, trees, mountains and stuff, hah.
@@CookiePLMonster Ah, that's good! it's unintentional but I always thought it was one of the funniest features from San Andreas. Some clips from Joshimuz comes to mind, like the Rustler crashing on the Vinewood sign or the Beagle that spawned in Downtown SF for some reason.

You should have pirated non steam version installed anyway. Steam ver is a waste of time and I own trilogy there and not use them due updates that break everything.
I know I'm late, but I hope I can at least get an explanation. Because this problem's been bothering me for a whole week now. It's driving me insane. Sometimes, my game would randomly crash for no apparent reason. I'd installed a crash handler, and even that couldn't catch up to it. Also, both the order cutscene from the drive thru mission and the home invasion final scene have a 50% chance of crashing my game. I'm using the 1.0 hoodlum version with silent"s patches, largeadreas and open limit adjuster. I'd tried noDEP and run32dll and configuring the limit adjuster. Unfortunately, nothing had worked. Any help would be appreciated.
Is that the EU hoodlum executable? If so, the current release of SP has a known incompatibility with this release that will be fixed in the next hotfix.
@@CookiePLMonster incase you find this reply, I'm using the Hoodlum version provided by TJGM in his hoodlum tutorial video, using the MEGA link. I don't know what region that is, to be honest. Also, I'd recently discovered that CLEO is the cause of the random crashes. both the 4.4 and the recent 5 versions without any scripts seem to cause it. I have a feeling that it might have something to do with my pc. I'm not even sure if anyone else has the exact same problem. With the important stuff out of the way, I honestly never expected a reply from you. I feel now is the perfect time to thank you for helping everyone and making it possible to enjoy some of our favorite childhood games. Also, thank you for the info. I didn't even know the hoodlum version had different regions. I think it's better for me to wait for your hotfix. You can take all the time you need. Thanks again :)
It’s really hilarious of how for some reason this 20 year-old game is getting patches by modders compared to definitive edition which despite being on a newer engine, people don’t seem to mod any of that and fixing the game that rockstar or should I say Grove Street games screwed up

It's not optional but it doesn't fix planes crashing fully either, so you'll still see them!

@@vAlcatr4z make sense, but since it's a SilentPatch for the classic PC version (2005), his comment don't make sense at all.
You should have pirated non steam version installed anyway. Steam ver is a waste of time and I own trilogy there and not use them due updates that break everything.

I know I'm late, but I hope I can at least get an explanation. Because this problem's been bothering me for a whole week now. It's driving me insane.
Sometimes, my game would randomly crash for no apparent reason. I'd installed a crash handler, and even that couldn't catch up to it. Also, both the order cutscene from the drive thru mission and the home invasion final scene have a 50% chance of crashing my game.
I'm using the 1.0 hoodlum version with silent"s patches, largeadreas and open limit adjuster. I'd tried noDEP and run32dll and configuring the limit adjuster. Unfortunately, nothing had worked. Any help would be appreciated.
Is that the EU hoodlum executable? If so, the current release of SP has a known incompatibility with this release that will be fixed in the next hotfix.
@@CookiePLMonster incase you find this reply, I'm using the Hoodlum version provided by TJGM in his hoodlum tutorial video, using the MEGA link. I don't know what region that is, to be honest. Also, I'd recently discovered that CLEO is the cause of the random crashes. both the 4.4 and the recent 5 versions without any scripts seem to cause it. I have a feeling that it might have something to do with my pc. I'm not even sure if anyone else has the exact same problem.
With the important stuff out of the way, I honestly never expected a reply from you. I feel now is the perfect time to thank you for helping everyone and making it possible to enjoy some of our favorite childhood games. Also, thank you for the info. I didn't even know the hoodlum version had different regions. I think it's better for me to wait for your hotfix. You can take all the time you need. Thanks again :)

It’s really hilarious of how for some reason this 20 year-old game is getting patches by modders compared to definitive edition which despite being on a newer engine, people don’t seem to mod any of that and fixing the game that rockstar or should I say Grove Street games screwed up
