It's one of the best prebuilt systems you could get and it's also got good temps and the connectors are not proprietary so you can change the case or whatever component you want. HOWEVER,Lenovo systems will LOCK the CPU to their boards only so if you want to upgrade the CPU later, the old one can't be sold because it will only work in your specific motherboard only, and also it will lock your new cpu to the board again too so if the board will die you won't be able to use the processor on any other motherboard either
Dope video, I’m looking at some PC’s for a first buy. Thought about a laptop but saw this one on Amazon and seems like a good deal on prime day too. Thank yo!
Hey man, great review. I really enjoyed your joke about the pretty lights, but I felt that the main part of the video could have used some background music. I have plenty of suggestions if you'd like them. Good work otherwise though. One love.
you think it's really that big of an issue? I don't have much knowledge about this stuff, but I picked this PC up off of best buy (open box discounted) and then ordered a corsair 850w modular PSU after reading some stuff online - I just want to be safe lol
A GTX 4070 calls for atleast a 650w power supply. 4:54 this is why i always build my own, it was looking ok till that part. They always skimp on something.
ecause Nvidia and even the AIB specs have to assume worst case, so they are giving recommendations of something like a 12900KS that's 150W base 241W boost (or higher depending on motherboard with OC), highest drawing motherboard, RAM, a bunch of case fans, RGB lighting, etc, Lenovo would base on what's in the computer, so in that case a 65W CPU that boosts up 117W, so that's 220W GPU + 117W CPU, so 337W plus other components in the case.
Can anyone link a video how to add the additional fans on top? Does the current model come with a splitter for power or can they be connected directly to the motherboard?
Thanks for the review. I was wondering if those 4 tiny circular indentations on my heatsink plate near the Legion logo were a defect until I saw yours at 3:57-3:58. Must be normal. When the RGB is on, you can plainly see these indentations.
That vrm is going to throttle, i had a t5 with a i9 and no vrm heatsinks, any wattage above 125w on the cpu made it throttle. Had to replace the motherboard cuz it was messing with my frame time. Performance mode doesn't increase fan speed it only allows the cpu to get above 75c and only then the fans speed up. Not to forget that these fans are 1.2A fans 12×1.2A=14,4 watts which is really bad for a case fan
