Excuse me, what do you mean by 'terminal stage'?
If I am running OS X on my mac, can I follow these same steps ? My goal is to dual boot with Arch Linux. Thanks

hlw, i had a weird problem , while installing arch. actually architect installer os, and antergos os , (based on arch). while installing they can not find my hard disk partition,. i am using manjaro os fine, but for them nothing is shown at partition table. i made usb using rufus, and also image writer. can u suggest me something plz. thanx
+Tanjil Bhuiyan Type partprobe -s and then check.
I get a "dd: failed to open ‘/dev/sdb’: Permission denied" error message when i do the command :/
Please, use sudo before command.
even sudo not working. So use "sudo su"
Same problem man, did you solve it?
@@phenelz1ne this is nearly 6 years ago! I nearly forgot I even did this. I ended up giving up on arch linux, that was too difficult for teenager me.
i'd like to konw if is it the same process in order to install ubuntu instead arch. actually i'm using antergos but bx of the lack of time it got me stuck trying to find out how to properly configure and optimize it for my needs. Thanks in advanced and sorry for my english xD
You can use Win32 Disk Imager for create the bootable media for Ubuntu.

what is the command to install pv?
+Twitter Verified in Arch: pacman -Syu pv ; in Fedora: dnf install -y pv ; in Debian: apt-get install -y pv
Hi mr Nehal I follow your tutorial, but it doesn't work, I get the next message "Operating system load error", I tried to change the .iso image and the error persists. I will grateful, if you give me some advise. Thanks for this tutorial.
+Rodrigo Alejandro Cardona Quintero It is better if you read this: wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/USB_flash_installation_media :)
Nehal J Wani Thank you Sir :)
It doesn't work in any way, in my case. I've to disable Secure Boot to run the bootable USB with Arch, while the same USB key with Ubuntu boots perfectly with UEFI enabled.
Just to clarify, if you disable secure boot, then arch linux installation media boots, right?
@@NehalJWani Yes, it runs. I don't know if it is something related with Arch's signature.
