- How to create Bootable USB for ArchLinux (UEFI and Legacy Compatible) (In Windows)
Step 1:
Download ArchLinux from www.archlinux.org/download/
I'll skip this, as it is trivial.
Step 2:
Download USBWriter
Write the disk image to USB.
Verify that USB Boots up in UEFI Mode.
Step 3:
Install ArchLinux
(I'll defer this to: • Install Arch Linux 201... )
Step 4:
Bring Back USB to Original Form. :-)
Done!

sun tzu Art of war Thanks for the compliment! :)
I Can't boot in efi mode. The folder doesn't exist!!! Whats wrong
What needs to be done if ls -l /sys/firmware/efi returns no such file or directory? I noticed that my SSD has no UEFI partition yet the BIOS says its UEFI. Running windows 10 and I don't have the option of reinstalling windows due to licencing. Thank you
+Razgriz You have to boot the USB in UEFI mode, if you want the directory /sys/firmware/efi to exist.
put playback speed at 2 thank me later
Hi Nehal. Thanks for video. I burned the disk and booted in UEFI mode but I got this error, "blk_update_request: I/O error". Any suggestions please.
+Tejaswi Bitra Please share the complete error. There can be many reasons. Did you try to recreate the USB?
+Nehal J Wani Thanks for replying so quickly. I downloaded the latest arch linux iso and used USB burner to create the bootable. On booting with the USB I got the Arch linux startup screen. But it stuck on that message as I typed above. There was some number mentioned before the msg and some text after that. Could not remember right now. I installed Elementary OS as of now. Will try Arch soon. Will update you if I get this error again. Thanks again for reaching out
I need a little bit of help. I installed the latest version of Arch Linux (But your video states that the file is dual but mine is .iso is this fine?), followed everything. It worked, except that I cannot get past of step 2 where the result should be Arch Linux booting installation, right? Well, I tried that but it seems that it goes on a normal restart instead of your outcome. How can I overcome this problem so I can go install Arch? Oh, and also I use an ASUS laptop, the 64-bit one of course. Thanks if you could ever assist me.
Which ISO did you download? To install Arch Linux, follow: ruclips.net/video/METZCp_JCec/видео.html
To answer your question, I downloaded the torrent one.
Try using win32 disk imager to create the bootable installation media. Then try to boot from it.
I'll continue this tomorrow. So I guess I have to clean the whole USB drive with diskpart again?
Yes!
How do I check if its uefi in windows 10
