Could also mount that sm cap on the underside of the board (if there is space to clear the standoffs) to keep it away from the heat.
Really enjoy your videos Joe :)

Nice video. BTW those caps are dying rather from impulse currents, then by high temperature from heatsink.

you are possibly right combined with near heatsink...let's see if this makes a difference!!

Someone threw out a collector’s Monster Energy Mini Fridge and I picked it up for free. Has the blinking green light and fan wanting to kick on but doesn’t. Checked prices on eBay for what they were selling for and it’s around $500!!! If this capacitor fixes the issue I’m making a few quick hundred dollars by reselling it.

Oof, I am a very young teen and I was hoping for a simple reason where you don’t have to take the fridge apart. At least I know how to fix it! Sadly I can’t because I am missing some of the tools and even if I had the, then my parents wouldn’t let me hehe. Maybe dad would do it. Idk! Thanks!

couldn't you replace that with a 100V cap instead of 50 and maybe get some more life out of it? seems it's underrated or maybe getting blasted by heat being right next to that heat sink. I noticed the 2 other PS caps in mine are puffy and look like they are about to leak.
