Hi guys! Thanks for watching. I want to be clear: the 3 main ingredients for this recipe are sweet potatoes, oats, and peanut butter. However, OPTIONALLY, you can add pumpkin seeds (or other seeds) and/or maple syrup. You can of course be creative and also add cinnamon, other nuts, or seeds.
People are something else...."there's 4 ingredients, there's 5 ingefients, there's 7 ingredients, some people should learn how to count." Some people should get a life. It's a nice recipe. Lots of add ons can be included. Thanks for the recipe
I just made these and are delicious. I have gone very low carb and no sugar. You don't need maple syrup either. i did put dark chocolate chips in and sunflower seeds.
As a bonus, you can share these with dogs. Seriously, I made cookies with a similar recipe as a gift for a couple of dogs and they turned out delicious and would have been even tastier (for people) with a bit of salt and a dash of pumpkin pie spice.
@@donlittYou can sub pumpkin for the sweet potatoes. Pumpkin is really good for most dogs. The recipe I linked to is pumpkin-based and I tried them when I made them and genuinely thought they'd be perfect for people with some seasoning (salt) and some spice (nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.).
I’m enjoying all your videos, so far. Simple, easy to follow, nicely photographed. One suggestion: some of the superimposed text gets lost, depending on the color of the background. Foreign films with subtitles have the same issue. Maybe just preview the video before posting and put a background constrasting block behind those that have an issue. Keep up the good work, and I know your viewership will increase rapidly.
These look great! I have all the ingredients; but will try pecans and some spices. Will sub peanut butter (allergic) for almond butter. Maybe some low-sugar chocolate chips, too! 💖 Love a few basic ingredients, where flavors can be changed with different add-ins. Thank you!!
Today is Cook a Sweet Potato Day! I'm taking so time out today to learn some new sweet potato recipes! Thank you for sharing this sweet potato video. This looks like one I will defiantly have to try. Just here to read how these cookies turned out for others, but half the comments are about the ingredient count being wrong. If you pay attention, you’ll see only 3 ingredients are needed and the rest are completely optional. In fact the description even says so.
Oh yeah! Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Girl, you are cooking in my language. I've got everything already except the maple syrup. Gonna go get it now. Thank you. And I'm a new sub. Gotta subscribe to a channel call Bubble Green.

These look good and healthy. I'm not a baker in any way, so I'm just curious if pressing the cooking with a fork is needed for a proper baking technique (as in, if it's not pressed, the cookies will come out wrong) or purely for aesthetics?
The best thing of this recipe? It's low fodmap! I was wondering if its intentional since you don't mention it at all. Anyhow...... people with GI problems like IBS can safely eat them! Thanks!🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
I just tried this, and I have to sy it was not a great success. I think I might try again because the taste was quite nice, but it needs some development, for example, some raising agent, at least.
Naturally, oats are gluten-free. However nowadays, they are contaminated with gluten. So if you can't have gluten, make sure to buy certified gluten-free oats.
Sweet potatoes offer many health benefits. They do do contain oxalates like many other plant foods, but unless you have certain conditions like kidney stones or gout, it shouldn't be a problem for your joints. And even then you can still eat them as long as it's in moderation, like you don't need to eat the whole batch of cookies in one go and by yourself.

Do you think you could substitute almond flour instead of the oats?
@@rhondapelletier2141Very likely. The oats aren't supplying gluten, so it's probably safe to substitute them with almond flour.
Some salt would enhance the flavours tremendously, especially if the peanut butter is unsalted.
I'm thinking of adding cocoa powder. Thanks for this awesome recipe.

😅😅 Get a life. Exactly 💯
The actual cookies are 3 ingredients…..sweet potatoes, oats and peanut butter. The other ingredients are optional……chill out
and speaking of additional ingredients - they go well with pecans.
I just made these and are delicious. I have gone very low carb and no sugar. You don't need maple syrup either. i did put dark chocolate chips in and sunflower seeds.
I wouldn’t describe oats and sweet potato as low carb!
Ingredients are healthy though 😊
Thanks for your comment….I was thinking about the choco chips 👍🏻
Sweet potatoes and oats are very HIGH carb😅 Healthy nonetheless.
As a bonus, you can share these with dogs. Seriously, I made cookies with a similar recipe as a gift for a couple of dogs and they turned out delicious and would have been even tastier (for people) with a bit of salt and a dash of pumpkin pie spice.
Thanks! Awesome idea 💡 for my little picky dog who isn't able to chew hard dog biscuits.
That's the first thing I thought of too. 🐕❤️
My dogs would go crazy for these 😂

I once made some dog treats with sweet potato, cheese, and sardines... or was it salmon? Some fish. He loved them. 🐶
I made this recipe with a tablespoon of dark miso paste and they were insanely good
Made them and they were delicious 😊 I added some cinnamon
So happy that you liked them!
the music makes me feel peace in my soul ♥ thanks for the recipe, will make it soon!
Oooh! A cookie recipe without baking powder! I'm in love 😅
Is baking powder bad for you or something? Just curious
Nice idea using sweet potatoes. I'd probably trade the peanut butter for almond butter and add raisens instead of pumphin seeds.
So wonderful thank you! I added raisins and love them

Thank you for adding the link to the recipe. Much appreciated.😊
I haven't watched the videos yet but I like sweet potatoes and sweet potatoe cookies sounds like a delicious healthy treat.
The video is only 2 minutes long. Took you longer to write this comment!
Omg they look delicious ❤
This looks great and it’s ingredients are on the low Fodmap diet list. Thank you!
If you just want to soften the sweet potatoes, you'd save a lot of energy by putting them in the microwave, or just steaming them 👍
I just boil em. They come out softer than any other method.
I can’t wait to try this❤ Basic three ingredients, flour, sweet potato, and peanut butter and after that you can add whatever you want

I wish I didn’t see this but it’s too late- now I have to make these! Look so delicious
I will use what I have on hand which is hazelnut butter, walnuts, and chopped dates, maybe a banana as sweetener.
Simply a special treat.
I bet those are deeeelicious!

Yummy cookies
This is genius idea

You are welcome!
Could you replace the peanut butter with almond butter or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks!
Thank you
do they taste like peanut butter? look good
Thanks for this great idea! 🙏🏽 Have saved it in the playlist. ☀⚓
How long do the cookies last? Do they need refrigeration?
These look good and healthy. I'm not a baker in any way, so I'm just curious if pressing the cooking with a fork is needed for a proper baking technique (as in, if it's not pressed, the cookies will come out wrong) or purely for aesthetics?
It's for aesthetics mostly. But I find that the "little squares" after baking become a bit crunchy so it might be worth pressing them:)
@@bubblegreen_veg oh nice, I like a bit of crunch! Thanks for the tip!
Aesthetics; traditional look for peanut butter cookies.
Very nice👍👍
Yes, yum:)
Great recipe, but I miss when people actually talked and gave instructions and tips while sharing recipes.
Me too! And I would prefer no wimpy music!
5 ingredients but they look great! Thanks!!!
how about the shelf life maam 🥰
Have you tried it with obe?
Can i use butter instead of peanut butter?
New sub! Thank you 😋
The best thing of this recipe? It's low fodmap! I was wondering if its intentional since you don't mention it at all. Anyhow...... people with GI problems like IBS can safely eat them! Thanks!🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
Deeeeelicious!!!!!
Serious question. After everything is mixed couldn’t you shape and eat the cookies right then? What’s the benefit of baking?
They solidify and I would say they will have another texture after baking. But sure, you can theoretically eat them without baking.
Can't have oats can you substitute with buckwheat or amaranth flour. Thanks
I haven't tried that and have no idea how would that turn out. Theoretically, it should work. But let us know if you try any variations!
I thought of almond and/or coconut flour instead. Might try it.
I dont undetstsnd why all the ongredents arent counted??
Because they are optional; the other two INgredients! Spell check is a good thing, especially when whining!
Once the oats are blended into flour what is the measurement ?
1 cup rolled oats make about 3/4 cup oat flour.
@@bubblegreen_veg
Great thank you for the quick response , gonna make them right now 👍😉
five ingredients, actually
4 actually
Yup
5 if you add sweetener, 😊@@mahlbacher2
1 if you stop after sweet potatoes.
Yeah I love how these always say 3 ingredients and there’s always more
I just tried this, and I have to sy it was not a great success. I think I might try again because the taste was quite nice, but it needs some development, for example, some raising agent, at least.
Looks delicious! I’d add a bit of maple syrup and cinnamon however
Is this crystal gems music
The pumpkin seeds would be a no for me.
I would add crushed or broken up walnuts for a bit of crunch, or just leave the seeds or nuts out.
Why do I have to add peanut butter ?
It helps the cookies to stick better together and also keeps some moisture in the cookies, otherwise, they would be too dry.
If you can’t have peanuts, there are other nut butters, and seed butters (like sunflower seeds) available.
Look like you ground the oats to a consistency of baby cereal.
Mini chocolate chips
Can I use quick oat?
Yes, you can! I use them sometimes as well.
Do you know how many calories and diabetic free
Please check out the blog post, the link is in the description below the video
But Oat contains gluten
Naturally, oats are gluten-free. However nowadays, they are contaminated with gluten. So if you can't have gluten, make sure to buy certified gluten-free oats.
But that’s 4 ingredients. They look good though
You are right. Actually, the pumpkin seeds are optional but I forgot to mention that in the video 😄
Some people need to learn to count.
Hey, here’s a question…could you move any SLOWER?? 🙄 geez!
Dry,dry,dry, oh my, how dry.
that was 4 ingredients
This is NOT gluten FREE
I count 5 ingredients
Why does the title say three ingredients? Clearly there were five.
Clearly 4
Ok so what? 3,5, 7 does it matter that much? 😁
Too bad sweet potato’s contain tons of oxalates that are bad for your joints

3 ingredient cookies huh? You really need to learn how to count. If you can't do that, do you really think we will trust you recipes? 😕🙄
