Hi! I'd like to share a tip: boil your flax seeds in water before using them. Flax seed decoction has the same binding effect as egg white (you'll see it when you boil the seeds, the water gets all gooey). And once boiled, flax seeds are easier to digest. Two birds with one stone!
Just had this recipe in my feed. If you grind your seeds first, you don't have to boil them. I've been making vegan chocolate chip cookies for yrs, using flax seeds.
It is a good idea to soak flaxseeds before consuming them as it helps improve digestion and nutrient absorption. The soaking process helps break down the tough outer shell of the seeds and makes them easier to digest. Eating soaked alsi doesn't lead to any kind of gastrointestinal issues.Sep 11, 2023

If you like it more creamy or as a change, you can simply mix cashews with natural sweatener (Honey or canadian marble sirup...) with banana, little water. Optional ist Coconut milk and vanilla flavour/cocoa and you already have a cream. Add any fruits on top if you like. It's healthy for the whole body, you get faster satisfied because it's complete and you will keep healthy teeth ;-)
Looks very yummy. I’m surprised that this actually all sticks together so well, especially the 2nd recipe. I would have expected it needs more eggs and perhaps some cornstarch. But I’m willing to learn, and definitely motivated to try these out. I bet there are infinitely more varieties of what one could throw together - different nuts, different grains, perhaps some dark chocolate or cacao powder added with honey could be great. I’m getting hungry. 😅

Seems she meant to say she does not eat refined sugars. Thanks for the recipe
@@hollymurphy-jerrett1894 according to the definition of refined sugar honey is not a refined sugar. refined sugar refers to sugar that has been produced and heavily processed from naturally occurring sources. I do agree that most honey in supermarkets are processed and not like the ones we buy from local harvesters so not as healthy. But it is okay. This person is making a very good looking recipe. Let’s focus on positive things and be grateful even if she still ingesting sweet things because we were meant to enjoy food unfortunately now a days is hard to eat healthy because contamination is even in the ground, air and water that produces our food. Let’s treat people the way we want to be treated. Sugar or no sugar it is our personal decision. Sugar taste soo good but I do try to avoid the refined ones because I see the difference in my body now that Im older so I appreciate good recipes like this one. Being one who can’t tolerate white sugar, (no, I’m not diabetic but it has an additive/processing method that literally makes me ill), I’m grateful for this recipe. Although many feel “a sugar is a sugar is a sugar”, honey is a better choice for me along with fruit. I will try this because I love the energy building properties. Thank you!
Honey is sugar. It is mostly fructose, some sucrose. I would cut honey in half and add Monkfruit extract instead which is 0 glycemic index. The egg white binder is very clever. This is a lovely cookie and I will make it. Thank you!
I agree totally, for me using Allulose or Stevia is best. I do Keto, lost all the extra weight and feel healthier at age 71 than ever before in my adult life 😀
The honey helps the cookies stick together. 1tablespoon between 6 cookies is less than 1/2 tsp per cookie. You could get that much sugar in a good sized tomato. Keep things in perspective!!!
@@pamelabazan421 yeah, people are weird, preferring processed sugar from a fruit grown in another country, out of a packet, than honey. It's pretty easy to get less refined honey these days, I always buy local honey. Eat local. Esp honey as this is supposed to help you if you have allergies. Honey has so many uses as well, and lasts forever.

Hi Lena. Thank you for sharing this recipe. I have always wanted to make my own granola bars, but these look even better! (Though, many would argue that honey is a type sugar) I would say honey is much better for you than sugar cane sugar. I have a suggestion, perhaps agave syrup instead of honey (since it's better for diabetics). What do you think?
@@pmbbmp Maple syrup has a lower glycemic index than honey, which is lower than sugar. Given that understanding, it is healthier than sugar. Not to state that it is "healthy".
To those that commented after mine: the main difference between the "sugars" is Simple vs Complex. Simple:the body has less to break down to access the carbohydrate, so tends to store it; Complex: the body has to break down the other things before it accesses the carbohydrate, so has less tendency to store it. Honey on the other hand, I consider both simple and complex. Simple because it is already refined by nature (flowers and then bees) and complex because of it's microbial makeup. Which is why ancient Egyptians used it and today wound specialists use it to speed up the process of healing. *(Just my informed opinion) Wheat is another story---(food historians please add your input @townsends.
I'm sure what she meant is that she is not using processed sugar. There is a HUGE difference in health benefits between the sugars that come from fruit and honey than from unhealthy processed white sugar.
Very true, As for store bought ( healthy snacks) I often look at the packaging and put them back on shelf, at least we know what goes into our home made cooking ❤

Sugar was rationed in England when I was a child, but dates were available and we had walnut trees nearby, so my mother made date and walnut cookies, which we loved.
They do sound nice Joan
thanks for the history. do you still have a recipe?
@@Ruthiejocat White sugar should be rationed all the time! It's a poison when taken in big amounts! ;-)
Ohhh I bet they're delicious!!! I love all nuts. But Hazelnuts, have been my first favorite since i was very young. We only had them at holidays. Thank you for sharing😊

These look very yummy! I'm from Utopia, Canada and will give these a go. Thank you so much for sharing
I am a diabetic and this is a good recipe. Thank you
if your diabetic you shouldnt eat this its full of sugar...
DO NOT!!! eat this if you are diabetic. Honey and dried fruit is full of sugars.
@@TheInnerSession😂😂
Honey is sugar too.... there are no ' healthy' sugars. it all contains glucose and fructose whether it's cane, palm fruit sugar or any other. It's all sugar
@@aniketsinghrana8255 I wouldn't be laughing at this - they are full of sugar and could be dangerous for diabetics. Natural sugar is still sugar!
This is so refreshing and the music really take me back to the old country with beautiful farm surrounded by natural fresh trees, mountains, natural lakes, cows, horses, chickens, all kinds of animals and people sitting at the porch enjoying a fresh lemonade enjoying your cookies, my kinda of serene lifestyle, thank you for this video, love it.
Hola saludos desde Puebla México, me encantan ver recetas sencillas y faciles de preparar , te agradezco mucho el que compartas estos manjares de galletas ...😊❤
Great snack for anytime!! It’s healthier than my store bought granola bars. I’ll add unsweetened coconut and maybe raisins to some! Thank you!!❤
Oooooh, love the unsweetened coconut suggestion. Thanks!
@@allonsy9808 yessss! I found a bag with big shreds of natural coconut 🥥 and that made my cookies look like a Kind bar a little, they’re cute 😝
Keep the recipes coming they’re great ideas for ppl who want them.
Those look delicious but you would have to leave out the dried apricots and the honey for them to be sugar-free. I have made similar with soaked dates. Mine had some coconut oil and sunflower kernel butter in them as well. Also I think I used coconut flakes. It was very delicious.
How many soaked dates would you recommend for this recipe?
Dates have sugar as well. These cookies do not have processed sugar which is a win for me. I will definitely be making them in the future.
@@snurfbee58 yes. For sure they have sugar. I wasn't trying to make something sugar-free when I used them though. I was just suggesting that they taste good in such a recipe as well.
@@tempadunn6079 honestly, I'm not sure. I'm not great at following recipes. I look at them and then do my own thing to try to get the right taste and texture.
@@helenatkinson4730 thank you!
Well I am definitely making these. Love that there's no sugar but also no flour. I will switch the walnuts for pecans as I can't eat them. I will also add cinnamon like I've read in other comments. I'm diabetic but the natural sweetness in fruits & even honey doesn't bother me really at all, not like sugar. Very excited to try them. Thanks much!
Привет из России. Спасибо за интереснй рецепт, обязательно приготовлю 😊
I love the healthy ingredients you include in your recipes. I also like the idea other people have suggested of swapping out ingredients as it suites you. Your recipes seem ideal for this. Thanks for sharing.
These look great and so much healthier than an oreo or the sleeve of thin mint girl scout cookies that I was eating. Thank you for a nudge in the right direction!

I’m glad this came up on my feed. I’m a sugar addict that needs to start making sweets like this at home.
Dried fruit has sugar in them
honey is pretty much sugar. Not table sugar but it's sugar.
Me too.

Such nice back ground music. Wakes u up to a great morning
My thoughts exactly!
They look amazing. My favorite nut is pecans.
I'm looking forward to making these, with CHOCOLATE😀
Or spread chocolate humus on for more protein 😃
This looks delicious!
I added this to my keto recipes as I can see substitutes in my mind like dried strawberries and blueberries. I think probably coconut instead of bananas and of course they do have low carb honey if I want that. Salted peanuts and pepitas for sweet and salty. Can't wait to try it😊

Looks great--love dried fruit! Going to try this plant-based as I have a family history of Cancer so need to avoid the estrogen and possible BLV in dairy and choline and lead in eggs. Thank you for sharing
Dried fruits have higher levels of sugar and carbs in some nuts.
False advertising! Those cookies are full of sugar and carbs. Where’s the analysis?
THIS IS THE MOST VALUABLE FOOD RECIPE I RECEIVED.

Seems she meant to say she does not eat refined sugars. Because as someone said sugar is sugar they are not made equal therefore they don’t affect the body the same one spikes glucose rapidly and the other one from fruits does it slowly and with soluble fiber. good health to all! Thanks for the recipe
Honey is a refined sugar!
Therefore if you eat sugar fine if you don’t that is fine too as long as we are all Happy. 😊

They have honey and egg white. I was going to ask what can replace those ingredients
Excellent, just tried the banana cookies before I went to work this morning. I have been looking for such a recipe for such a long time. I think I will also try with some bits of dark chocolate to please my children
I hope they liked the cookies.
Thank you!
Haven’t tried yet but definitely on my list. Yum!❤
Honey is sugar. It is mostly fructose, some sucrose. I would cut honey in half and add Monkfruit extract instead which is 0 glycemic index.
The egg white binder is very clever. This is a lovely cookie and I will make it. Thank you!
Real raw honey is very good for you, research it.
That doesn't change the fact that it's sugar. @@pamelabazan421

Nuts are so expensive. I have been brought to tears with the price of food. I’m hopeful I can make the first recipe. I love pumpkin seeds! Thank you. Love from Connecticut
Buy a small amount in a store where you can bag what you want of them. Whole Foods, farmers markets..

I hear you! We are retired and the price of food has been a challenge. We buy in bulk at Costco. Their nuts are good quality, and we freeze them to keep them fresh for a year or more. Sam's Club occasionally has their seasonal nuts reduced in price. We stock up when we find a deal! Blessings from Memphis, TN.

Snacking between meals is not a good idea if you don't want to keep your insulin level high at all times. Could cause diabetes in the long run?😊
Felicidades p tan saludable receta me encanta claro q la probaré
Maple syrup also lower calorie than honey, but maybe not thick enough to help bind.
Your body doesn't know the difference between cane sugar and honey. They are both sugar, period.
@@pmbbmp the amount of minerals in maple syrup is so small it's effectively nothing and you gain no real benefit. It's still sugar.
Looks easy to make
The dried fruits banana and the honey are a lot of sugar. All the best from Canada 🇨🇦 👍
@@snurfbee58 I agree! This takes health nut to a whole new level! 😆🤣😂
@@snurfbee58 Sugar is sugar, processed sugar isn't any worse for you than sugars from fruit and honey. You are only tricking yourself into thinking they are healthier.
@dle711 Ever thought of the fact that our human genome is 98.7 percent like the genome of apes? And the 1.3 percent difference between us should mean we should avoid fruits, the main food for our brothers, the apes? We really should start thinking for ourselves again instead of listening to the guessing games of our docs, shouldn't we?!

OMG, THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS 🎉WONDERFUL COOKIE 🍪
Loaded with fiber and protein. No sugar, no flour and no carbs. ❤
Actually plenty of carbs from the honey and dried fruit. Plus nuts and seeds have carbohydrates as well. These may be higher in fiber and with less refined carbs but they still contain sugars and carbs.
Honey is a type of sugar and it does raise your A1C. But enjoy!
No sugar or carbs????
Huh?!?!
Maybe they meant no processed carbs or sugar
No carbs?, no sugar? Those seeds are carbs and fats, and even dried fruits have a lot of fructose, that is also sugar.
Thanks for sharing but please can you update the recipe ingredients the description to include the dried apricots. Yours truly, a caught-short baker
